Exactly what I needed

Big, odd shape room with mining decor. Clean and a bit worn but servicable. Amateur repairs to walls, ceiling. River access and patio was great. Coffee but No breakfast.

Conveniently located to main downtown area. Easy to find, check in and getting to room was easy. It is an older hotel, could certainly use some updating but bed was comfortable which was a big plus, had hot water and heat so not terrible. I wouldn't stay there again though.

Argo Inn was a pleasant surprise! Although the interior decor could use an upgrade, the room was plenty spacious, clean, and comfortable. Being able to see the lovely creek was a definite plus. The staff was wonderful; very friendly, and accommodating. All requests were answered promptly, and with a smile. It was also within walking distance to a great local diner.

Very helpful, my husband and I had been traveling from back east since 0100 local time. They let us check in early to the hotel so we could rest.

Everything about this room was great - great view, nice patio, comfortable beds, clean everything BUT the air conditioner barely worked and even with the patio door open, it was difficult to cool the room down.

I loved staying at The Argo over-looking the beautiful river!! The people are nice and I feel lucky 🍀 to have an affordable place to stay!

There was a large gap all around the door. A few strips of weather stripping could have fixed that. Instead there was a space heater in the room just in case it got cold and snow was blowing through the cracks.

Quiet. Clean. Comfy seating on back patio and beside creek that runs behind the property. Dining and historic area in walking distance.

The rooms have a balcony overlooking a bubbling stream. Room was comfortable and well maintained.

The property is old, which is fine. They just need to update or at least remodel the property. You could see where items use to be on the wall. It looks like the item just fell off and that was that. They just need to reinvest back into their property.

Overnight stay. It was fine for what we wanted. Close enough to town. Clean and tidy. Patio door didnt lock so they had a piece of wood to stop anyone breaking in.

The only thing I didn't like about this motel was (as I travel by motorcycle) is the fact their gravel driveway was steep into a gravel parking lot.

Perfect place at perfect time. Tired and ready to stop for eve after long day of driving. Very clean with rambling creek behind hotel. Great value and a spot to rest!

Adequate accommodation for a stopover. Basic toiletries provided. Toilet was blocked in our bathroom which was inconvenient. Good base for going on to Rocky Mountain NP

The room was comfortable but dated. They have tried to spruce it up but our bathroom door had a hole in the door, the ceiling where there apparently was once a leak had been partially repaired but they didn’t finish repairing it and it looked like a DIY job. That being said

We were in an adjoining room and could hear everything going on in the other room, plus the room above us. Close to several restaurants which was nice, we were able to walk places and felt very safe.

Room was clean and had a bonus sinks -- one inside the bathroom and one outside. Also had a beautiful balcony overlooking the stream that runs through Idaho Springs and walkable to a convenience store.

Love this inexpensive motel in Idaho Springs - I always try for a creekside room to drown out potential noise, though it's never been very noisy there. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and front desk people have always been welcoming. Property is a little dated, but price is totally right! Only an hour-ish drive to PDX in the am at a fraction of the cost of staying in Denver

Everything is VERY OLD, the AC is 30-40 years old.
The sink had hole in the middle and rust! Smells like very old place. The good thing is that it is next to the river. Worth no more than $70 per night.

This was our first time staying at this hotel, and we loved it! The staff were great, the room was wonderful, and we loved sitting on the deck and watching the creek. They also have a great location, and we look forward to being back next year.

Our room was clean and had a beautiful balcony view of the river. We could not have asked for a better room.
Our only suggestion would be to please get new pillows! The ones we had were HARD and FLAT. Stacking two pillows did not solve the problem.

It is a beautiful property- the room has a patio that opens to a back area with a stream & amazing seating. The room was a bit shabby, the bathroom a bit old- but the beds were great and the patio makes up for the shabbiness.

Our first room had several bed bugs. I was bit and am not covered in itchy, painful bumps. We reported the bugs and they gave us another room. That room had bugs too, and I have even more bites. Had to go to urgent care for treatment. The guy at the front desk was very nice and told us to report it to the owner.

Room was on the river. Door would not open to sit on balcony. Bummer, but not the end of the world. Stayed there twice. in one week. Stayed in 4 other hotels on the same trip. Never got the Wi-Fi to work at the Argo. The 4 other properties it worked fine. Go figure.
It is convenient to I-70 and a straight shot to the airport. For that reason I would book it again.
