The stay was great, except trying to use the hot tub in the pool area. There was a family whom hot tub hogged the whole time. I didn't know babies were allowed to be in hot tubs? But I do know that a hot tub isn't a damn kiddie pool!!

The young lady that greeted us at check-in was professional, courteous and friendly. The hotel and room were very clean. The young lady at check-out was also professional, courteous and friendly. The staff truly cares about you and your stay. Highly recommend this property.

My daughters and I stayed in a suite for a few days. It was perfecr for what we wanted for a little get away. The breakfast was good, although each morning they ran out of something, there was enough food and beverages to choose from. The pool and jacuzzi was nice and convenient for us. We could hear kids running above us in the evening, but understandable when you are away on vacation. The noise always settled down around 11pm. It was nice to stay in 1 night and cook dinner. The jacuzzi tub was a nice added touch. We did ask the front desk for extra towels, but we never received them. Other than that, We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

My family has stayed at this hotel at least four times over the years. It seems to have gone down hill a little. We stayed there for two nights this week and there were multiple hairs in the bathroom that weren't ours, a pair of goggles left from the previous guest, no dish soap in the kitchen and NO bath towels. My son showered and was standing there dripping wet when we discovered there were no bath towels in the room (there were only hand towels). I had to go to the front desk to get them and was told that their washing machine broke and they are short staffed. I get it but towels are kind of a big deal, they could have at least told us when we checked in and got our towels then. The breakfast was fine. Overall it's an ok place to stay. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like kids. There are always a ton of kids there :)

Rooms were so nice; beds were very comfy. Loved the kitchen area; was so convenient. The kids loved the pool!

Hotel was clean and people were kind. Only thing is we couldnt check in until 5 even though checkin was 4. Breakfast was ok not great because they were out of things. Didnt even get a full breakfast. Pool and Hot tub were amazing. Wish they would have had like an adult hour after pool closed.

This was the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel. This supposed to a Wyndham property. It was supposed to be a refurbished room. The fireplace and TVs did not work. Asked for them to fix these problems. No one ever came. When making the fold out couch bed, when putting the blanket on the bed, I discovered a large fake eyelash indicating that the blanket had never been washed. Later, I discovered lipstick on one of my pillow cases. Revolting. Did not bother to complain as the front desk clerk said no management was available and there were no available rooms or management. I could go on and on but the bottom line is don’t stay here if you want to enjoy your time away from home. One additional thing. My sister emailed the manager TWICE during our stay and no answer was received either by email or telephonically. Atrocious.

It was a good stay with complimentary breakfast and attached indoor water park and attached pool. Staff was friendly. The only thing is cleaning of room is done only if you have entered the request 24 hours early. My expectations was since this is a hotel so room cleaning will be done everyday. Thats was the only thing I did not liked.

Areas that could use a little cleaning. But overall happy and will stay here again.

This hotel is average. Definitely an older hotel. Sheets were clean. Walls and vents were very dusty. Staff was very kind.

Clean a little run down. Parking not so good and should make swimming supervised to many kids jumping in pool when there is a sign No Jumping.

Not enough of utensils. dirty under the sink cabinet, light bulb was missing on lamp. door bolt wasn't working. Kids like the swimming pool.

We were there for a long weekend and could not get any towels when asked...are you that limitied on towels. Breakfast was not what it used to be wjhem it wasw a residence inn. Very limited selection

Check-in was fine, room was ready about 1/2 hour early. Door was open when we arrived which was strange, didn't notice there were no bath towels were in the washing until much later. Noticed the wallpaper was damaged and peeling in many spots, a/c vents and intake grates are dirty, lots of broken/damaged/worn in the room, phone doesn't work (no place to plug phone cord into). When I went to the front desk for bath towels, clerk said to come back in the morning. We'd been traveling part of the day and wanted to shower before going out and doing other stuff - then told to come back to front desk in about 90 minutes and there may be some ready. The grounds and building exterior look dirty and dilapidated, have to walk by smokers at nearly every entrance (should be designated smoking areas farther away from the entries). Came back in 90 minutes, different clerk said night shift staff just started laundry and come back later. I left my cell and asked to call or text when they were ready (this was 1130pm). As of 315a, after checking twice more, no calls or texts were received and we went to bed without them. My wife said breakfast was fine, she returned with towels. The shower curtain reeked of mildew, the walls are thin so the upstairs guests could be heard all hours of the night walking and stomping around on the hardwood floors. The two bedroom room itself was spacious, full-size fridge and microwave worked as expected, internet was OK. We'll be staying somewhere else next time

It was close to Waldameer and Presque Isle. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. However, the check-in is stated as 4 pm. My room was not ready until 4:45. They told me they would take $20-$30 off my bill. When I checked with them, they told me that they would let their GM know. Unfortunately, it never happened. The hot tub in the room did not work. When I inquired, the person told me that they are temperamental because they’re old. The pool was awesome but they never had towels available. I asked for them at the desk. They didn’t have any so they gave me bath towels. Loved the location but did not like the other problems.

Room was not cleaned well. Very grimy floors and bathroom smelled like mildew. Did not get towels when they turned the room over. Main hallway Floors had spills all over them. Swimming pool and hot tub smelled like week old urine. Expedia listed free roll away beds/cribs but we got charged for one when we asked. Stay clear from the roll away beds anyway, looked like some torture device out of a horror movie. Kids liked the breakfast so hopefully that memory keeps them from being permanently scarred mentally about every other aspect from the facility. Safe to say we will spend a few more bucks next time and get a better hotel in the area if we go back to visit Erie PA.

The entire place was dirty. The shower had a huge crack, wall had ripped wall paper, dents in the refrigerator. The towels and sheets were clean.

Was not told about $100.00 deposit taken out of my account, Thought there was hot tub in room. Had tohave door keys replaced a few times

Stayed with my wife and 2 year old. Not a bad place at all for just over night staying. Stayed here as a teenager and honestly nothing has changed so would like to see an upgrade. Breakfast was great and the pool was awesome.

The staff at Hawthorne Suites is great. They are very kind and quick to help if you need something. I was very surprised to see the condition of the hotel. The air conditioner in our room and a lot of other areas was not working. The fan in both bathrooms was not working. The jacuzzi tub in one bathroom did not work. All of the utensils, dishes and pots in the cabinets were dirty when I got to my room. The front door is supposed to be locked after midnight to ensure safety and it’s not. The pool is so chlorinated it bleached our bathing suits and a friends shirt.

Here for a Lacrosse tournament. Stayed 2 nights. Room is old and out of date. Stairs were dirty and need to be vaccumed.

I wish the communication between staff was better. My second night wasn’t booked when I was told that it was booked. Luckily I called to confirm and it was easily corrected. Then I called ahead to let staff know we would be checking in very late. The on coming shift was not notified which led to unnecessary attitude from the front desk. There was hair on the floor of the bathroom. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed here multiple times in the past but this will be our last. Over the course of four days, they never cleaned the pool area. It was littered with trash, food, wet towels, etc. At one point, I started cleaning up as it was just deplorable. The breakfast area seemed clean but they served the exact same thing every day. They claimed they are a “green hotel” which means they don’t clean your room daily . We received towels and additional toiletries upon request, but we took out our own trash to avoid the smell. The bed was comfortable but the pull out couch/bed was not so we had to go and purchase a blow-up mattress for our daughter.

We love staying at this hotel with our small children. It’s attached to water park but actually has a great pool and hot tub in the hotel itself. Breakfast is great too!

The suite was great! Very roomy, & very clean .

We were staying for a college trip. We were happy with the price, the room, and the breakfast. The pool was also very nice and clean. The breakfast was wonderful and well stocked. We were surprised how much the breakfast offered. We will be staying again. Very good price for the hotel and amenities.

Hotel was clean and we had a nice quiet stay. 1 Jacuzzi tub shot out dirt from the jets when turned on. Manager informed me that this happens when its not used often and informed me could have someone come and clean the tub, but we only stayed 1 night, so no need. Could have staff run the jacuzzi once/twice a week so this doesn't occur for a guest who would like to use it. There was 1 in each of the 2 bathrooms in our suite, other one was fine.

It was a great hotel and i will definitely stay there again. The room was beyond my expectations. Our room was huge with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The living room had a pull out sofa and the kitchen had a full size fridge, stove with an oven, and dishwasher. The staff was all very nice and helpful. What i didnt like.... they didnt enforce the rule of young kids in the pool and hot tub without adult supervision. Also, the breakfast was okay but the same thing 4 days in a row got old real fast. They really need to switch up the breakfast options. How many days in a row can you eat sausage, eggs, potatoes, and waffles. I give the breakfast a 1 star review. I wont eat breakfast there during my next stay.
