That it was only one night

There was no promised breakfast, no buffet. If you wanted to walk in rain and with hirting ankle, you could go a bar nearby to gt some sweel cake. The checking in was a bit difficult, because the host didn’t want to send us the code for number lock. She asked us to call, but then she didn’t want to tell the number in telephone either. Because of hearing badly in the traffic noise, I had to ask her again, and she refused to continue after the girst number. Having heavy backbag and the other stuff in the middle of traffic ( no proper walking lane and cars come really close) was not nice. The beach is jot a beach, but a seacoast with big amd small rocks. Very difficult to go to swim, and impossible to spend tome there. Lots of traffic voices to tje room. The room was very tiny and there were steep , really small stairs up there, no windows in the room, no balcony , no view, not even much daylight. Somebody ( the host, I thonk) ca,e to our room very early in the morning. I wake up for that. There was no lock in the door.

La posizione ottima. Lo staff davvero disponibile. Mi è stata data, dietro mia richiesta, la camera 3 ore prima del previsto e avendo un bimbo piccolo è stato davvero comodo. Piccolo problema con la pompa di calore risolto egregiamente. La signora delle pulizie davvero gentile e disponibile oltre che SUPER PULITA! inoltre mi è stato messo a disposizione tutto cio che mi serviva x il bimbo..dal microonde, al piatto..ect..tutto ma proprio tutto. Torneremo sicuramente.

Sicuramente migliorerei la colazione. Prodotti confezionati (crostata nutella e marmellata) diciamo non di qualità ..Cornetti del primo giorno non molto buoni (non so cosa sia successo ma erano quasi immangiabili)..mentre al secondo giorno diciamo che erano migliori..Questa precisazione solo per migliorarvi..ma la colazione non era la nostra priorità

Frühstück war nicht wie von „booking.com“ angeboten, sondern in der Bar neben an. Die Unterkunft liegt zwischen 2 Straßen die sehr laut und stark befahren sind.

The room and location facing the sea were excellent although the terrace was closed for breakfast due to repairs.

Some issues with Rossella, the host. Although I told her numerous times when I would be arriving she was not present when I arrived. I phoned her and she said she would send me directions for self check-In, which I didn't want. In all our communications, she never said anything about self check-in. (I don't like it b/c of a prior bad experience). I had to wait a half hour for her to arrive, after I spent 8 hours traveling from Trapani on 3 different buses. As for departure I notified her 3 times what time I had to leave. (I had to be at Catania airport to meet a group to transfer for a cooking class in Modica, a two hour drive away). She did not show up on time so I left her a note asking her to please bill me through Booking.com. When she finally called me I was already on the bus to Catania and she said she was sick and it wasn't possible to bill me through Booking. Over the next several days she sent me several options for paying, none of which worked, either b/c she uses only Mastercard or b/c it was necessary to have an Italian passport to transfer money. I spent several hours of my vacation time on this and began to lose patience. I told her I would contact Booking about the issue. She then accused me, among other things, of not wanting to pay and said she would report me to Booking as unpaid, which she did. She then notified me that she had gotten paid by Booking. I told her she should have done that in the first place when I asked her to instead of lying and claiming it was not possible. I then got a notice from Booking about non-payment. It was all a very unpleasant and inconvenient experience, and none of it was my fault. I never write negative reviews and debated about this one - it was a month ago - but I felt it should be said.

What a view! You can just open your bottle o wine and have a drink with your partner on the balcony, enjoying the sea view from the room! Maybe it's far from any sand beach but if you are there for sightseeing...there's no better place! Take a train to Catania and visit fish market. Take also a train and visit Syracusa. When returning from train trip go directly to Taormina because when you have a train ticket, the shuttle bus from train station to city center is fo free! Return on foot following red trail (Goethe path) - use touristic maps from mapy(dot)cz.

Forget about parking parking space close to the apartment...but do a fast unpacking just on the little street next to the entrance and then leave your car on parking next to train station. It's cheaper than parking on the streets and it's just a 8 minutes walk from there (no sidewalk...like in lot of places in Itally ;) )

Excelent position! Easy walk from central station, quiet area. Not dangerous, very close to turistic attractions,

They have a kitchen but not possible to do anything there, and the breakfast started after 8 AM, but we left at 6AM. So, we lost the breakfast.

wifi did not work in our room. had to go and sit in the hallway. no shower head holder. had to hold to take a shower and it kept breaking off hose. no chairs on balcony. had to take one without cushion from unused breakfast space upstairs. shutters on door were broken. couldn’t open them to let air and light in. tv remote wouldn’t work even with new batteries. no breakfast on site. had to go to nearby cafe with only outdoor seating and got one coffee and one croissant. didn’t open until 8 am. air conditioning kept blowing electrical breaker in room. couldn’t use.
