Property was perfect for get together with family while traveling from out of town/state and great backyard for my dog. Home was clean and nicely decorated. Loved the big kitchen island, comfortable beds and air conditioner. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed for TTU’s incoming student orientation weekend. Pet friendly place. Nice to have a location so close to TTU where we know our dogs were safe while we were out.

Anyone visiting Lubbock will feel at home here. This Artistic Escape has all the comforts of home. Very clean and neat. Nice sized yard for our dog, and the location is in a very safe neighborhood. Easy check-in, great communication with our host. Will stay again!

The area was good, Market Street grocery store was close by for any food needs, my dog enjoy the back yard.

The house is homey and comfortable. Thought of everything - from the bedding to the two types of coffee makers! Very clean which is the top of our list! Will definitely be one of our go to’s for the next three years at least!

Overall, we loved the house. Cute layout and decor. However, we always look for a fenced yard for our dogs so that we can get out and play with them. However, the patio was filthy, and the outdoor furniture was old and torn. Not a pleasant place to sit outside. And the yard had a lot of dog waste! Obviously other dog owners did not clean up after their pets.

Location and set-up couldn’t be better. Kitchen art is fantastic. We’ll be back.

The Artistic Escape lived up to it's billing and was a very nice stay for us when visiting our child at TTU. The location is secure, the house layout is great for visiting and the yard was great for entertaining a small group. Would definitely stay here again. Our host was very communicative and provided all the essentials for a comfortable and easy stay.

My husband, two children and I stayed at this house to attend a Texas Tech Football game. It was a great location for us. It is very clean and nice.

House is pretty comfortable. Location is close to University. Neighborhood is well maintained. Yard was perfect for the family dog who travels with us. Privacy fence and shaded patio was perfect for him to be outside without being on a leash.

The property and location were good. Property manager was great and helped with needs. Internet was very slow and we had family members working remotely. More glasses needed in kitchen and a few more towels would be nice. Overall a good stay.

Home was very clean and comfortable for the whole family including our fur baby. Had a nice sitting area outside and the yard was very secure. Neighborhood was quiet and lovely, very convenient snd close to the university.

We think these folks tried their best to help us but the properties fell well short of any reasonable expectation. Will never use them again.

We stayed at this property on two separate nights in Oct 2021 as we drove to/from N. Mexico. The property was clean and mostly as described, although sections of the house are showing wear and at least one of the door frames has suspended hinges, but no door. (Seems dangerous.) Our issue with this property was 1. poor communication and 2. failure of the owner/manager to resolve a legitimate problem. From the day we booked the stays, the owner/manager sent several automated messages concerning check-in and check-out, etc. Automated messages are fine, but the content of these messages were a problem. For example, the booked dates in the automated were not in synch with the actual dates we were scheduled on the property: "Hi, we hope you are enjoying your stay.....", when we weren't even scheduled to check in until 4pm that afternoon. Another of the automated messages asked for a 5-star review before we had even arrived on the property! In return for our 5-star review, the owner/manager promised us a 5-star review. OK......well, we just paid you upfront and in full and for the use of your property for two separate nights. Could you wait until we even arrive on the property before you begin soliciting us for a 5-star review?! In yet another of the automated messages, the owner/manager specifically asked that we contact him immediately to resolve any problems we might experience during our stay rather than give the property a bad review. Ok, fair enough. Well, we did have a problem, and we did promptly call the owner/manager, as requested. We left the owner/manager a voice mail message, but never heard back from him/her. Another person returned our call from the owner/manager's phone number. As requested, we sent several texts to the owner/manager's phone number, including a detailed explanation and photos of the problem. The person who responded on behalf of the owner/manager promised that the owner/manager would refund the requested amount. We followed up at least two more times by text and received these text responses: Oct 12: "I'll get that refund processed today." Oct 22: "The refund was processed, but yes I will check on it." It's now been more than 30 days since we first set foot on this property. We have not heard from the owner/manager or his/her representative. We have never received an apology or explanation. We never received the promised refund. I sought help from VRBO and they suggested I write this review.
