My mother and I booked a room at the last minute to get out of a bad airbnb. We weren’t there much and didn’t get to try breakfast. Getting to our room was a bit of a maze, but other than that the room was big and clean. The service was excellent and everyone was very kind. The location is great, but you do have to walk through a bit of a tent community to get to the Main Street. We felt safe and enjoyed our stay.

Never have we stayed in a hotel property, including a low end budget one, where everything is covered in vinyl flooring from the hallways to the room itself. This made for very loud hallway noise and very uncomfortable feelings walking around barefoot in our room. We laid towels on the ground just to make it feel a little cozier. Whoever designed this obviously does not care about comfort and rather have something sterile and easy to clean. Definitely not a place for a romantic getaway. It's more designed for children and families. The buffet breakfast was the only highlight. That was very good.

1. During check in we found out that our Deluxe Room has no window. We checked description here. Indeed there is an information on the site that this room has no window written in the middle of the overall description but pictures are confusing and show something looking like a window in the room (which is not). When we tried to explain that we are frequent travellers with Gold status etc and maybe some other rooms (not even Deluxe but smaller) can be found - the receptionist was called and denied. OK. 2. When we came into the room - we've heard all bathroom "procedures" from the neighbours upstairs, plumbing is odd and has to be repaired. We invited reception lady to come and check it herself, she denied and said that we can come "tomorrow at 12pm" and she will check if room can be replaced. We had other plans for the next day and did not come for the room replacement. This overall experience is very negative and we would never come back.

The rooms are just very small for someone traveling international with their families. There wasn’t any space for our bags. Once you had your bags out there was hardly any room to move around about in the room.

The room is comfortable and good view. The breakfast is very good and the staff are nice.

I have stayed with the Riu at other properties in Spain, the Caribbean and other locations in the past, this property completely disappointed, the front desk did the very bare minimum, the biggest complaint I have is the house keeping staff making so much noise talking loud in the hallways so early in the morning and leaving their cart right next door to the do not disturb sign, every morning closing the doors loudly and waking up the whole floor, a suggestion maybe leave the door open so you can get your tools in instead of opening and shutting doors 20 times per room. The breakfast was great, though.

We enjoyed our stay here very much, the location was easy access to the tube and other transportation. The hotel itself was very enjoyable. The beds were good, and the breakfast was wonderful!

Great location right behind Victoria Station! Very convenient coming from Gatwick and using the tube. Place was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

I stayed 4 nights pre-cruise and one more Night post-cruise. I loved the true hotel is so new, no carpet, modern furnishing and very comfortable bed. Space was excellent for such a good location in London, close proximity to Victoria rail & tube, excellent eateries & sights.

Very nice stay. Fabulous location, spacious enough room, everything worked.restaurant a bit of a hike from room….and breakfast buffet, while nice, barely changed from day to day. Would have preferred more variety.

Neighborhood construction made it difficult to get around/ too congested-

Clean rooms. Some are located via a long walk, which was not good for me since I was te asking with my 85 year old father.

Everything was lovely. Only suggestion is having a snack bar area. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Toilet light not working maintenance man just walked in room before I had chance to answer and it was noisy. I don’t recommend you publish my review and I won’t come back.

Paid £660 windowless room, which I thought was very expensive, but I was booking at the last-minute and hotel options were limited. When I arrived, they directed me to a room in the basement. That is an extortionate price for a stuffy room in the basement with no ventilation. The hallways of the basement were poorly maintained and resembled a hospital corridor. I doubt a landlord would be allowed to lease a basement room with no windows - why is it acceptable for a 4-star hotel? I was aware the room had no window, but the hotel should have made it clear when booking that it was in the basement. I complained at the front desk and was moved to another (still windowless) room on the 4th floor. Reception was polite and helpful, but when tried to bring a friend to breakfast and the maitre d' was extremely snappy and rude and made me pay for my guest on the spot instead of charging it to my room. Again, for a 4-star hotel I would expect the staff to treat a lady in her 70s with courtesy and respect. I would NEVER stay here again.

It was nice to stay in a centrally located hotel in London that actually had nice size rooms. The hotel served our needs perfectly for the 4 days we were there.

Trips to west end shows, good value hotel with all amenities, convenient for tube/bus station/train station.

Reception perfect and elegant. We arrived early and were greeted by a helpful member of the staff who took our luggage as we stepped in. Very nice! Hotel room clean, quite big, beds good, but the deco of the room and hall way quite dull. Area is absolutely perfect for exploring London, just a stone through away from Buckingham. Worst thing about the hotel is the breakfast area and here I hadnt done my home work good enough. Very big room/many guests/crowded/busy/noisy and totally the opposite of what I look for. The breakfast in itself was of good quality, though I longed for some better cheese. But it works!

Very nice stay at this hotel. Convenient for getting to different tourist attractions - close to the train station. Hotel lobby and concierge area lacks security; we had a back pack bag stolen in the concierge area with the rest of our luggage left with the concierge service of the hotel. It left us with a very disappointed and frustrated and with a big headache to try to replace the items lost!!!

The hotel was amazing. Very clean, super helpful staff, very nice, spacious rooms. Very close to the tube station. The only bad part was being woken at 5.30am by a wake up call we didnt book.

I found hair in my bed and a stain in the pillow case. The pillows are not good also. The shower was great. And the bed too.

Lovely hotel. Only minor issue is pillows are too hard but that comes down to personal preference, it was a great view of city from room!

I was checked into the wrong room and told at reception there are problems with the system. The room was already occupied by others. A basement room is apparently what was allocated for the booking and it was next to the service area where staff were quite noisy. A lot of noise in the middle of the night and as the corridors are not carpeted it was disturbing. Good laoction however for us near theatres and the station.
