I appreciated that they offered extra blankets as it was very cold at night despite bing summer and also having my own one with me.
For some reason I didn't think the tent would be really open all the around the bottom for technically many kinds of animals being able to crawl/walk/slither in. We still had a special experience for that one night. It was fun to sit at the fire and show our overseas guests how to make smore's

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds wer very comfortable and plenty of warm bedding for the cool night.
4.1
the staff and the other guests were very friendly. sitting and talking to them around the campfire was part of the good experiance.

All the benefits of camping without camping! Such a fun experience for the family!
4.1
An excellent Glamping experience. The tents and beds were very comfortable. The campfire conversations with new friends was nice. A nice alternative lodging options while visiting Yellowstone.
4.1
We stayed in a Yurt, the place was very spacious and comfortable. Only at night in was very cold inside, need some kind of heating. The grass was over grown, showers and bathroom very clean but needs a little attention the shower knobs which were overs flowing.
4.1
First time sleeping in a tent and wasn’t terrible. The beds are nice and cozy and really warm! The blankets they provide are great.
4.1
Beds were really comfortable. Lots of room to move around and relax. We also loved looking up at the stars at night through the plastic panels of the tent. My only complaint is that we couldn’t use our cook stove by our tent. It’s a little inconvenient having to bring our food/coffee over to the communal area to cook. However I do understand that they don’t want someone accidentally starting a fire.

Our time there was very good ,we loved the nature, the persons there were very nice, and I will definitely return there.!!!

Super fun location for our boys, they saw moose in the morning by our tent! Everything was perfect and as described.

We absolutely loved our stay! We stayed for 4 nights. We actually choose this place over a hotel that was 5 mins from Yellowstone (which is where we spent most of our time) because we wanted to experience the glamping for the first time. Let me tell you it did not disappoint.
Our first night we took the top window covers down and got a surprise thunder and lightning storm and watched it from inside the tent! So awesome.
Our second morning we had a moose run behind our tent!!! We got the luxury family tent F9 spot. We were away from other tents which was so nice. The community fire was a fantastic idea and my little one enjoyed the s'mores.
Just our personal opinion would be if the weeds/wildflowers around the tent were pushed back about a foot so you could get around the tent to open the windows. We did that in the mornings to air our the tent. Maybe a couple more bathrooms closer to the family tents. I would recommend shower stalls with just a shower and sink and no bathroom but again that's just a personal opinion.
Definitely will do this again if we come back in the area. Thank you Starlight Retreat for a great experience!

Stay was nice. Tents are spacious and beds are comfortable. Lots of spiders and other bugs but all together the stay was nice.
4.1
Comfy beds! We got in late and left early so didn’t do much other than sleep. But the beds were clean and comfy!
4.1
Great luxury tent! Very clean, beautiful grounds, just wish the bathroom was closer, but they were clean, wish coffee and tea were served earlier than 7:30 since we were leaving early to get into park, but overall a great place! Fun, family friendly!
4.1
It is very nice tipi tent. Very clean. The bed is comfy. The shower is terrible with very little warm water coming out. The water can hardly reach your shoulder. I don’t know how I finished my shower.
4.1
Limited bathroom and shower area, always waiting in line, the longest waiting time over 30 minutes. electric supply from solar are so bad, only last for few hours even only used for phone charge and one dim light. No water line other than bathroom.
4.1
The stay was horrible. It was very cold and the heater we had to ask for, did nothing. It was 27 degrees. The battery for lights was dead shortly after we went to bed. There wasn't any water in the morning in the portable bathroom. We couldn't shower or brush our teeth. We didn't stay the second night and wasn't compensated for anything. I would NEVER stay again. Very misleading
4.1
Very nice staff, great view.

This was a great, unique stay for us. We loved the family size tent and it was very comfortable. The inside of the tent was set up very nice and had a cozy feel. The area was beautiful, and we would visit again.
4.1
Off the beaten path for visiting Yellowstone, but an amazing option if you don't mind driving outside town for an extra 20 minutes to get some peace from the crowds and much more reasonable prices. Use the Google pin they email you and not the address!!!! The address using Google maps took us down a dirt road 10 minutes before we tried the pin. The safari tent is such an amazing experience for the kids. Clean, safe, it's definitively "glamping". Shower/bathroom trailer is nice. S'mores in the evening were a big hit with the kids.

The tents are ok. we left after one night because no hot water and all the toilets but one were clogged up
and people where still using them. i will never go back
and they would not refund for the next night we had booked.

I love the fact that is on the forest, the beds were very comfortables.ñ, the stuff were very nice. What I don’t like is not having a lot of privacy since there’s others people on the tents close by. My child had a misbehaving moment during the night and I Was reported to the police and had to show up to child protective services supposedly I was abusing her. I was release cleaned because of course that wasn’t the case . It also rained a lot one night and we got water come in directly on my moms face during the night.
4.1
It was Fun but the roads in and out and especially on site were bad. Granted they had some poor weather in the days prior but if we had brought a different vehicle we would not have made it to our tent at all. Considering it is tent the actual tent was very clean and we stayed warm. Walk to bathrooms was short and bathrooms were very clean. Again the minimal maintance made the walk muddy. The might want to consider some type of walkway such as raised planks or concrete to make it safer during poor weather.

We enjoyed our stay. It had rained a bunch so it was muddy on the roads. The tents were clean and had plenty of blankets, it got down in the 30s at night. They offered heaters for a small fee. They provided towels as well. Battery in tent worked great for what we needed, lamp, fan, charging phones, hair straightener.

Service was great all around. Property was well-maintained.

The true camping experience ! our weather was rough
(Raining almost the whole time) Maybe some more wood chipped walkways around the campground would have kept us out of the mud.

We had a great stay at the Starlight Retreat. My Family stayed in Teepee number one. It was spacious and comfortable. After a long day hiking in Yellowstone it was nice to have a place with comfortable beds to crash. We had plenty of blankets for the cool nights. The shower trailers and bathrooms were clean. Currently they are building shower and bathrooms on sight.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Each night they lit a campfire and had smores which allowed for conversation with others who were there in camp. Overall a great experience. It is Glamping at its best. Thanks Starlight for a great stay.

I am hopeful that this place will eventually become a place I’d like to revisit with my grandsons. My granddaughters and I spent one night in a teepee. Although it was nice, it did not have the HEATER and double bunk beds that we read about. It was in the low 40s the night we stayed. The white comforters were probably not the best choice of colors for this type of accommodation, as each one had various dirty spots on the topside. Also, our power station was only at 12% when we arrived and was dead when we returned from the campfire around 10:30. Therefore, we had no lighting! This should have been checked and swapped out by the staff before we arrived. Another issue was that there were not enough bathrooms/showers for the number of guests staying throughout. Loaning out a trailer of bathrooms/showers was probably not the best decision given the number of guests staying at this location.
Like I stated above, this place is “A work in Progress” and the bathrooms are still under construction, as well as the central common area. In other reviews, I read that gravel had been brought in to cover the roads; however, the very limited amount of gravel is still in a pile and needs to be spread out. Which leads me to another point. The dirt road back into the check-in, common-area, bathrooms/showers and to our teepee is rough and was washed out due to 4-days of rain prior to our arrival. These roads should have been graded daily!
Sweet Little Village! Feeling Hopeful!

Starlight Retreat was beautiful and relaxing. With a large family, it’s hard to find accommodations where we can all stay without having to book two. The large family tipi sleeps seven comfortably. It was impeccably clean and uniquely beautiful. 10/10 recommend!

I had high hopes for this stay when I booked. It wasn’t until after the booking we found out the bath house wasn’t done. The temporary bathrooms provided weren’t good. And they were out of water by morning.
The listing boasts lots of views and comfort but we had no view… lots of tents and teepees in the woods where cows free range.
We also had no way to cook or have a campfire. We had planned on making our own dinner but had to spend extra going elsewhere. We understand restrictions but that should have been told in the listing and especially the booking.
I own a campground in Tennessee and overall I’m very disappointed. I would never charge that much when I was under construction - it’s an inconvenience to your guests. We couldn’t even shower because the water was out.
I think it’ll be great eventually. But you should let your guests know before they book where you’re at in the projects.

The potential here is fantastic- too bad we didn’t stay here in a year. I do understand why they decided to open and not lose out on the season, but you are walking into a construction site, and not amazing temporary bathrooms. The tipi was really fantastic (needs some more lamps but we managed), the beds were crazy comfy and I slept like a baby. The check in was rough (no staff, I texted 4 hours ahead of our arrival and they only responded at the last minute after I tried to get in touch multiple times), and like I said, the main site is completely unfinished, bathrooms were out of order, construction equipment there… all that being said, when it’ll be done with the permanent bathrooms and the coffee stand, it’s going to be a really cool place to stay.
So, skip the 2023 season but give it a shot in 2024.

We had high hopes for this part of our trip - a night away from the rush of things and a touch more of nature. Didn't happen.
The photos showing the teepee sites make it look much more remote and scenic. The reality is the teepee matched the photo, but it's not the actual site. All the tents are cobbled together under a grove of trees and really the only thing you can see are the trees and the other tents and teepees.
The teepee itself is beautiful and very nice. The beds were comfortable and the teepee was very clean and well designed. It was the rest of the site that was incredibly disappointing.
It is not far enough away from the road that we did not sleep because of the sound of the trucks on the road all night.
The road into the site is dirt and it had rained so there were ruts and it was difficult to drive into.
The bathrooms were not yet constructed so there were portable bathrooms and showers. I found no light in the bathroom and only cold water. The shower had hot water but also could not find a light. They were also such a distance away from the teepee and tent that at night it was difficult to navigate and concerning given area wildlife.
We paid to get propane for a heater for the teepee and it was still very cold and we stayed in June. Almost everyone slept in all our clothes plus extra blankets we brought with us.
We booked hoping for a retreat from the world and found we were really just sleeping outside next to the noisy road.

This glampsite is still under construction. We received an email prior informing us, it promised us we wouldn’t notice much and they insured us excellent temporary sanitary facilities. However, the roads on the site were very bad and the temporary sanitary provisions were dirty, a couple out of order, just overall terrible! A lot of work needs to happen there to make it a good experience.

The ideas is great, BUT they need to finished building the Restroom before renting the location out. I stayed for 3 nights and was only able to use the restroom 1 time, the other 2 night i have to wake up and drove 4 miles down the road to use the gas station restroom. No running water, good thing i have a case of water with me, and that what used. The rest room was out off toilet paper and no water. If it rain the road will get muddy and your car will get stuck. The only good thing is the tent was new and clean, BUT NO WATER OR USEABLE RESTROOM. I rather go in the wood, but cant do that. Also you be along cows, be careful where you step…

I would have turned around and left at the entry if we had ANYWHERE else we could go. The road was terrible inside the retreat. Calling it a road is an over statement, it was a muddy area with no grass. I was seriously concerned about damaging my minivan with every pothole along the way. Upon pulling up to our teepee we're greated with an old water bottle someone left, a propane tank, solar panel and freshly graded dirt still with track marks I assume from the mini excavator parked just around the corner. A long way from what the pictures showed. When I opened the door there was a floor mat upside down in a pile soaked in water, the corner of the main bed was soaked in water along with the blue throw blanket and the main rug from the roof leaking. The heater does little more than take the edge off the cold. It's concerning waking up to your baby beet red from the cold though they are under blankets. When the description says heated. It took 13 hours to get gas for heat when we ran out. None of the decorations shown in the photos are actually there. On your walk to the restrooms you will feel more like you are in an unsafe construction site with unprotected open excavations than a retreat. The restroom and shower are just temporary restroom event trailer because the actual bathroom are still being built. The restroom ran out of water and the trash was not emtied. One staff member told us they were not working right now and would not help us.

What you do not see when viewing this property is that it is all under construction. No bath or showers have been completed, there were portable bath and shower only, no office structure, road tore up from construction, etc. The tee pee we stayed in was actually very nice I must say. It was clean, had two solar lights, comfy beds and nicely decorated. This is just off the highway which you hear cars and trucks constantly so be aware of that. For $334.95 plus and additional $25 for propane heater for one night seemed like a heck of a lot for one night of clamping in an under construction resort with highway sounds that drowned out any nature sounds.

The place is under construction. Solar power was nice but not charging well cause of the weather. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Kids loved the teepee. Overall great experience. Staff was great

Its super beautiful, the showers and bathrooms worked perfectly, the people in charge were super useful. There’s only one detail about the heaters and is that if you dońt vent the tent properly they will turn off and then you will be super cold.
But to vent the tent properly you have to open the door and leave the mesh, which is counter intuitive because you could think that you are going to be cold. Anyway, the place is amazing, I would stay there again and I would just put attention on the ventilation of the tents so the propane heater doesn’t turn off.
