My Sweetheart and I, along with our furbaby stayed here for almost a week. The location is awesome and gave us the opportunity to stay in a small town (lovely walkable main st) while being 60-90 min to family in all directions. The studio was clean and exactly as Oscar described. Very comfortable and private. We loved the coffee that was provided. Oscar was kind as I had questions about the booking (I’m a newbie). He was quick to respond and communicated very clearly. We loved our stay and would return. Thank you, Oscar!

Well furnished and decorated. A/C unit was very helpful on the hot weekend we visited. Attentive owner and would rent again!

Cute little rental. Property is still a work in progress as they are renovating whole house into rental properties but it did not interfere with our stay. Would stay again.

The hedges house was super nice for a little studio. We spent the week with my son and daughter seeing the sights in Independence.. The trolley was super nice to have available so we did not have to drive everywhere. We enjoyed the quietness of being in our space with no one above or next to us like in a hotel. Oscar was quick to respond with our concerns. Check in and out was simple. Did not hear much traffic even tho it's on a main road. The only suggestions we had were a bathroom door( has a curtain but that doesn't keep the sounds out.)😉 and a shower grab bar cause it's a huge walk in shower that could get slippery. Amenities were as described
Would stay here again next time we visit.

Like Oscar says in the review he's working on the outside. It's very overgrown but wasn't there for the view. We needed a place to sleep. Very close to be able to watch sons college baseball game. The room was great. Had everything we needed for one night.
Oscar was fantastic. I would use this little cottage again.

My wife and I came to Independence from out of state for two weeks for the birth of our granddaughter. Oscar was great with communications and Catherine was the perfect hostess.
We will definitely stay here when we travel west again.

We enjoyed the private parking right by the door. The studio apartment was clean and the shower was large. in a nice quiet neighborhood we would go there again.

Cute place. Easy access. Surprisingly quiet for being on a main road. Host was readily available.

The studio is at the back of a property which has a sign stating "Beware" at the front entrance with another sign which said "Haunted House". Not exactly the most inviting thing for a VRBO property.
I messaged the host three times asking for clarification on check in procedures once we arrived. I never heard back and the door to the property was locked when we arrived.
We stayed elsewhere.

Walkable to downtown restaurants and riverfront.

It was a cute studio and comfortable bed. The owner was very quick with communication when I had questions.
The only thing I would mention as a drawback is that the bathroom does not have a door, just a curtain. Fine for us but if one needs more privacy it might be nice to have.
