Friendly front desk and porters. Comfy lounge downstairs and bathroom access from the lobby. Felt safe and comfortable coming and going as we please. Would definitely stay here again.

This lovely Art Deco hotel is well-situated for a New York City stay and offers a very comfortable bed and friendly service! There is a very nice restaurant attached. I recommend breakfasting there on the weekends!

Unrelated to the hotel, I was a little surprised to see the amount of homeless, mentally ill and crackheads within a half block of the entrance. I used to live and work in NYC.

Location is key with this hotel. The rooms and hotel overall are quite basic. Clean and average comfort, but still quite basic. But walking out the door into Washington square park is great.

Washington Square was a very pleasurable stay for the price and fantastic location. The rooms were big with plenty of room to move around. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely stay again in the future.

I liked that it was convenient to the airport and had an airport shuttle.
I did not like that I was a female traveler, traveling alone and I was placed in a room next to a stairwell..kinda scary.
Also did not like that there was no dining nor alcohol available on the premises.

We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel during NYU move in weekend. We were able to walk to the university and found it very convenient.

For New York City the room was reasonably sized. Everything was impeccably clean and the bathroom was very modern and well appointed. Noisy people on the street at night, but that is the neighborhood we chose.

The property is beautiful and very clean. The first doorman we encountered was amazing, as were all the female guest staff. Evening male staff and some other daytime male staff were very unfriendly, not acknowledging guests as they entered (not just us), and seemed to be angry/sullen. I would still stay here again. It’s in a perfect location and it’s so lovely, and most staff was wonderful. I don’t let things like that bother me. My daughter, however, said she felt uncomfortable, so won’t return.

Although the staff was excellent, the rooms themselves were very outdated and small. There was a corded phone that didn’t even work, a beat up wooden chair, and (2) twin beds pushed together😩😩😩😩
