This charming 48 m² house in Barneville-Carteret can accommodate up to 4 people. It comprises an attractive living room, a fitted kitchen, two bedrooms and a shower room. There's also a 58 m² garden! Sheets and towels included - we're waiting for you!
The accommodation includes :
Ground floor :
- 15 m² living room with sofa, decorative fireplace and dining area
- A fully-equipped kitchen with electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob, etc.
1st floor:
- Bedroom 1: double bed (140×190)
- Bathroom with shower
- Separate WC
2nd floor:
- Bedroom 2: large dormitory with two single beds (90×190), games, books, table football
For even greater comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: Weber barbecue, washing machine, ironing board and iron, tennis rackets, games.
Outside:
- A beautiful private garden of 58 m², not enclosed, facing north-west, with Weber barbecue and furniture to enjoy the fine weather.
- Free access to the basketball and tennis courts, 100 m from the house.
The house is ideally located in Barneville-Carteret, in a green, quiet and very pleasant environment. All the essential shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars and markets are close by.
Activities:
- Discover the charming town of Carteret on foot, where you can explore its bustling harbour, savour delicious cuisine in its many restaurants, enjoy a cinema screening or stroll through the weekly market on Thursdays.
- Don't miss the crossing to Jersey for an exciting getaway!
- Explore the surrounding area by visiting picturesque towns such as Barneville, La Hague, and Cherbourg with its must-see attractions such as the Cité de la Mer and the Planetarium. Continue your exploration with a visit to the island of Tatihou, the D-Day landing beaches, and the historic town of Bayeux, just an hour's drive away. And if you have time, make a diversion to Granville, also just an hour's drive away.

If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the house's private car park.

The Lighthouse "Lovely retreat for a penny
🙂 First let us admit this is really not expensive. This is a house in some sort of holiday compound. It is very clean and very, very quiet. I guess you will need to get used to how quiet it is :) You can walk to the restaurants in Carteret but you face a stiff walk back up! There is a small nice garden to eat or drink a glass. The neighbours do not make noise either. My double bed was very good. The kitchen is complete. And of course there is Carteret nearby and Restaurant Le Cap :)
🙁 It is a small house and the stairs are narrow and steep - it IS in the description and maybe at 66 years of age it was a bit of a stretch for me. So maybe for younger people. Some things are flimsy and fall when you touch them. And it is noisy inside: how to say it in these woke days…if you do something in bed other than just sleeping all other people in the house will hear :)"
