The staff was great especially Naurine at the front desk. They had healthy food options. Room service was quick. Property is clean. Pool and lazy river is good. Beach is lovely
Food was ok only one buffet was open and one Resturant so not much options, everyday it’s the same food. Slides were closed I think this is due to ongoing construction/renovation. Toilet flushes extremely loud in the room

The ambiance, the courteous staff who were very accommodative and friendly. Namely Mona Lisa (Reception) and Ricardo my butler.
1. When I arrived the reception was great. However on arriving to the room, I did not get what I booked, had a single king bed as opposed to a double, the fridge was empty. I called reception and someone was sent to restock the fridge but the room couldn't be changed.
2. While playing the piano in the lobby which is there, not just as decoration I'm sure... there was one member of staff who approached me in a condescending way, unaware who I was or that it was my birthday. He very angrily asked if I was authorized to play the piano. I am a very accomplished musician, Physician and many other things so I asked him what was the criteria to be authorized to play the piano; providing no answer, he demanded that I stop playing. So I did... Others listening came by to console me during this embarrassing moment, stating that they enjoyed the brief moment of my music and that this particular employee is always miserable. It crossed my mind that if I were of a different race he won't have came across that way but I'll leave that alone. This was a big turn off for me on my birthday.

room service took approximately 3 hours , the promised to restock the mini bar everyday that wasn’t done . The food was very basic and low quality.

the layout of the property was beautiful
1.As a Jamaican- the food could have been better. The only restaurant I enjoyed was the steakhouse.
2 The porridge was salty
3. The fire alarms were blasting at random times throughout our stay ,which was very loud and very dangerous. The staff told us to not worry about it, but what if it was a true emergency, that’s not safe at all .

I like the concept of the hotel and layout but there are not several restaurants there were only one main restaurant and the other two were hot or miss on when they were open. the property is not huge and the other hotel it’s connected to is not open
I did not like that the suite was said to be larger and it wasn’t the wet bar was very very dirty and had rusted at the bottom in the room; there no alcohol available in the room for the wet bar. the room service was slim pickings and horrible selections; they don’t offer enough food for all inclusive

Location
I ordered the luxury suite. Site advertising show jacuzzi,. 2 vanities,. Sleeps 4. My room had none of that. Restaurant closed at 925 even though front desk said 10. Front desk tried to take all my bank info to process a refund for our beach dinner. Requested that I give the address, routing numbers, everything. Ridiculous

i booked multiple additional accommodations like my room being decorated for my birthday and also to have a couple dinner and spa accommodations. the person i was speaking with with helpful up until 2 weeks before my trip and she stopped answering. i also followed up to the general email and received no response. the day of check in i requested these services and received no assistance which was surprising considering i paid so much for my visit. overall i will no longer be using Royalton this really made my birthday a disappointment

The rooms are spacious
The service needs some work, especially at the front desk. Checking in I miss understood Nicola who was serving us, I asked for another drink for my partner and she rolled her eyes at me. I was pretty upset at this stage, I don’t expect staff to roll their eyes at me….
After checking in, we discover our tv doesn’t work properly and the tub plug didn’t work either. Someone came to look at the tv and said we will get a new tv tonight or tomorrow. No one did anything about the tub plug. Tomorrow came and front desk had no idea about the plug or Tv. I then asked to change rooms as no one could tell us when these problems would be solved. We were told to go wait in our room and the house keeper would check the new room and let us know when we could change rooms…. After waiting and not being able to do anything, I went down to the front desk twice, only to be told it’s happening “right now”. 2 hours later…. And multiple attempts to ask what was happening. I was told to ask the house keeping to let us into the next room. I asked the house keeping who had no idea what was going on and nothing with communicated to her. If I hadn’t approached the housekeeping myself and organised it, we would have been waiting all day. The toilet did not flush properly in the next room and the tub barely drained but we just suffered through it as we didn’t want to lose hours of our holiday trying to get them to do the basics of their job. We went down later that evening to get the room key changed and was served by Nicola again, I told her our tv didn’t work because it said no one was checked into that room. Nicole dismissively replied “yea yea, it will update soon” 5 hours later, still didn’t work…. When I rang the front desk again, someone checked and changed us to that room within seconds. Not sure why Nicola wouldn’t check and change us when I had asked 5 hours earlier.

The beach was nice to be.
I didn't like the delay in checking in or the fact that I had to get the access key cards reset to enter the rooms. I didn't like the flies in the buffet restaurant. The pastry wasn't edible at all, they tasted like bulla. The jerk chicken surely didn't taste like Jamaica jerk chicken...
