A decent spot to stay on the edge of town near the lake. A bit of a walk from the centre, but relatively peaceful. Small rooms, fairly functional, shared bathrooms are alright. Kitchen area is reasonable. WiFi is a bit temperamental. As with most places in the town, it's overpriced for what you get but on par with the higher tourist rates in the area. Staff are generally welcoming and helpful, can be a little pushy with booking tours through them which can easily be arranged independently if you wish.

the owners are the best people in the world. offered many options for how to spend time, booked the necessary excursions and taxis. The room is great for two, we even had enough space with a small child
The only negative is that the hot water in the shower disappears very quickly. only takes a few minutes

The main area (where folks could chill & interact) was really beautiful and has a nice view of the lake in front.
The main area (where everyone cooks/ have their meals etc) was very noisy even after official lights out, the rooms itself felt very squeezy and there were lots of unofficial movement around the rooms/ hostel as to where or who were staying (felt like the place was overbooked).

Really great place! Amazing, calm location very close to Laguna Nímez. Super nice apartment with everything one needs, and very friendly and helpful hosts. Would warmly recommend! :)

This hostel is a true backpacker place with the host and guests coming together to grill and chat and party. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and the location directly at the lagoon is very beautiful. I highly recommend the place!

Great location with lake views from the kitchen/dining room. It's right next to the nature reserve which means it's peaceful, also not too far from the town centre to walk.
Two really light and well decorated communal spaces to sit and eat. Bathrooms are good size, showers have hot water and high pressure.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and keep things very clean - thank you so much to them.
Missing some things in the kitchen - had very few plates/bowls/mugs etc. for the number of guests.
One wall in our room had a gap at the top which meant we could hear everything in the room next door.
They allow check-in throughout the night which for us meant people checking into our room at 2:30am and staying up/making noise until 4:30am... this isn't just the fault of the hostel clearly.

The location is great, next to the lake and just 15 min walk to the center. The hostel is small and very cozy with great people. Adriana is the most lovely woman ever and helps you with everything. She knows a lot about activities you can do and she even can book tours for you.

I liked the location very much, and apart from the dorm room the kitchen, the bathroom and the whole acommodations was very nice. The staff was friendly, and they proposed me interesting things to do, offered me knowledge about the area, and created a friendly atmosphere among hosts and guests. If I make it to el Calafate again, this Hostel will be my first choice!

The location was really nice, just in front of the natural reserve. The staff was friendly and useful. The place is clear.
My room had a tiny window glue to a new building so I couldn't get any light and they were noisy in the morning. Also, the walls are really thin, we can hear everything from inside the hostel.

Kitchen was not very clean.
Our double-room looked more like a room under construction, only a bunk bed (without a ladder nor a railing on the upper bed), no closet, no table o something else.

Cool place with a beautiful view of the lake. The host Santiago is a super musician willing to answer all questions. In the eavinings when he has time he plays outside at the lake his guitar and you can get an excellent experience of Argentinian culture. If someones like the nature definitely a place to stay in Calafate.
