Also another way to get accurate directions to the cabin is the put the address in maps app on your phone before you start your trip. WIFI
Due to the rural location of our community Hughesnet satellite Internet is the only carrier available. We feel grateful that we can extend this service to you, as most cabins in our area do not have a line of sight for the satellite. Keep in mind that satellite Internet is good for surfing the Internet, emails and light social media. Streaming is not supported.
We do have a landline available at the cabin to utilize for local calls.
In the winter months, we have provided two shovels at the property. If you are at the property during a snowstorm you would utilize the shovel the driveway and deck for access. We will ensure that the cabin is accessible for you upon arrival. But maintaining the property is a guest responsibility.
Parking
We have a long paved driveway that you could park three average sized vehicles on. In the winter months if it is snowing you will be required to park on the driveway and not the road. This is to ensure that the snowplow vehicles are able to plow the road daily around 3 PM. This might require shoveling snow on driveway to access a parking spot. We want to make sure you don't receive a hefty ticket from city. We suggest during snowfall to park up towards the top of the driveway, this will help with getting out of the driveway during the winter/snow season.
The outdoor patio furniture is put away for the winter months. December- April the outdoor cushions, umbrella and fire pit chairs are available upon request as long as the guests return them to the basement for the winter months.
Please note WE DO NOT provide the following: laundry detergent, extra trash bags, firewood, propane for BBQ. There is a propane tank, however we do not monitor the propane usage.

Stayed with our family, enjoyed the bbq, fire pit, and close proximity to pinecrest lake! Cabin was well stocked and very clean/comfortable.

Cozy getaway off the beaten path. Very convenient to Pinecrest lake. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, sunny deck beneath a canopy of trees.

We enjoyed our stay at Woodsy Retreat! Cabin was clean and well supplied. Appreciated being able to bring our furry friends. Host was responsive.
Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to Pinecrest Lake.
*a small amount of laundry detergent would be a nice addition. We bought some local overpriced pods.

This was a great getaway. Quiet and comfortable, just a small drive to the lake and the convenience store (I highly recommend you stop by there, amazing owners!).
Highly communicative hosts, I could not be happier with our visit!

The property was great, we enjoyed the neighborhood. There was a window AC unit which was nice since we stayed in the summer. We loved how the house was decorated and the family friendly movie collection. We would stay here again.

We've camped for years at Pinecrest. While the rest of our extended family now has motorhomes and we do not , woodsy retreat is perfect alternative . The cabin is comfortable, convenient to the lake and accepts doggos. It is well appointed. Comfortable beds and nice linens. Kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Very Clean with a great location. Minutes from many great destinations. I would highly recommend this cabin.

host is very accommodative given the severe weather forced us to delay our trip by a day and one family wasnt able to make it. Cabin is cute and mostly clean. The bed sheet wasnt washed as we still see hair, but was able to use the washer to clean it (hope host could provide detergent though as without it we washed with wayer only). Communication is great as host diligently worked through issues with me given the server weather and powet outage. Overall a lovely stay and will stay here again in the future.

We had such an amazing time at the Woodsy Retreat, we will definitely be returning. The cabin itself was super clean and had such a warm and cozy feeling, perfect sleding area just by the fire pit outside our kids had a blast, coming back inside to the warm wood stove was perfect. Really nice neighborhood we enjoyed several walks and enjoyed the big selection of movies at night, highly recommend the Woodsy Retreat for your next vacation.

We could not have been happier with the Woodsy Retreat! Starting with our reservation and great communication with our hosts, our trip was absolutely perfect. Gina and Keith have created a perfect retreat. It’s just as cute and well-appointed as it looks in the photos, and has everything in terms of kitchen supplies and other household amenities that you could hope for. (We were so glad to be able to do laundry!) The beds are incredibly luxurious and comfortable—perfect for afternoon naps! The cabin is perfectly located for nice walks around the Cold Springs area without getting in your car—and then local attractions like Mia’s and Pinecrest Lake are just a short drive away. Also, during a winter of record snow, it was so wonderful to have the parking area plowed out in advance. We just had to show up! Absolutely wonderful trip—we will definitely be staying her again!

Nice little cabin that was close to the ski hill.

This was our second time staying here we enjoy it so much. Our family of four (kids ages 10 and 7) stayed here for three nights, but it was so comfortable and wonderfully located that we could have stayed way longer. The location and neighborhood of the home is perfect. It's quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and very close to Dodge Ridge for skiing in the day, Pinecrest Lake for exploring, and even Twain Harte for groceries and even mini golf and shaved ice (in the summer). Kids made the longest and most epic sled run in the backyard while we could BBQ and read on the deck watching them. There is a perfect table to play games and eat meals together, a nice selection of movies for family movie night, and the most comfortable beds. We would surely come back again.

Clean and cozy cabin close to dodge ridge.

We were very cozy and comfortable in this cabin for the weekend. Our boys loved sledding outside and sleeping on the trundle beds. We got into a car accident on the icy roads and Keith went above and beyond to make sure we got home safely.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the snow. It was well described how to get there, get into the property and everything was in order and clean. We were two adults and two young kids (3 and 8 years). Reached the skiing in Dodge Ridge within 15 mins. Parking can be a bit tricky at Dodge Ridge on the weekend when you arrive late. Just keep that in mind.
We had dinner once at the pizza place in town - get there early on a weekend - and cooked at the cabin the other night.
It was a nice weekend away and we'd come again.
4.9
Cabin had all we needed to hunker down while it poured outside. Yahtzee and a great wood burning stove we’re great but top notch pizza within a 5 minute drive was a real bonus. Would stay here again.
4.9
It was a great cabin, and we had a fantastic view. It was great and everything went smoothly :)

This cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was by far the best property we’ve stayed at in pinecrest. Gina and Keith were responsive and proactive on making sure we were comfortable. We loved our stay!
4.9
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely rent again.
4.9
As we were packing to go home, we had a chance to talk about the rental and we decided as senior citizens that this rental was geared more for younger adults and children. and guests who were more interested in the snow season and those outdoor type sports.
4.9
We had a comfortable stay. Only complaint is that there were ants in the kitchen and bathroom due to the dry weather however didn’t really bother us. We had a fun quiet weekend trip with the family.
4.9
So quiet but close to everything we wanted to do. We hiked to Bear Lake and kayaked at Pinecrest.
Super clean and thoughtful cabin decor, with terrific bedding and beds. Such attention to details, and Gina quickly helped us when we had some questions.
Highly recommend,
Vivian and David

This was a lovely peaceful cabin in a little development in Cold Springs. We love Pinecrest Lake, and it was only ten minutes down the road (although on summer weekends, get there before the day use lot closes). This was a perfect peaceful place for the four of us (two adults and two kids).

Second stay; this time in summer to visit Pinecrest Lake. Place is always in great shape and relaxing. Pluses - bottle of wine, great deck, easy access to Pinecrest, internet. Minuses- can be a bit warm in summer but there are fans. Overall nice place.
4.9
This place was an amazing place to stay in, very clean and the host was very clear about instructions. It was very close to pinecrest lake and restaurants. I would stay again!

Great location not far from the lake. Cabin stays pretty hot but was expected as its mid summer. Host was extremely helpful with quick communication. Overall good stay with few hiccups

What can we say about this cabin other than it was perfect!! The attention to detail was impeccable. We loved being disconnected from the world, enjoyed meals out on the beautiful deck and had very restful sleep on the comfortable bed. Communication with our host was great and we received prompt responses. The cabin is very close to Pinecrest Lake and trails. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the cabin and would love to return again in the future.

Gateway to the sierras
This little woodsy retreat was just perfect for a cycling getaway that gave us access to sonora pass, and then a great day of hiking to Chloe's Bath above Pinecrest Lake. Having enough internet to manage the basics and an open kitchen for meal prep made this well appointed cabin both inviting and functional. Even learned a bit about John Muir : )

Quiet retreat
We had a wonderful stay in Woodsy Retreat. Quiet and had all the amenities for cooking and a relaxing experience.
