Barbara’s house is always lovely. We appreciate how clean it is and the lovely fresh flowers she puts throughout. Our little one loves the games and toys. A great place for a family getaway.

The entire experience was exactly what we were looking for. The owners were lovely and helpful. The cottage was well stocked with all sorts of things to do. Sleeping in the master bedroom felt like sleeping in a treehouse. We decided to book for next year the first night. Perfect!

The cottage was immaculate and the view of Townsend Gut and the variety of boats passing through was amazing and fun to watch. We also saw seals, ospreys, Kingfishers, eider ducks and a bald eagle. No matter whether you were in the cottage, on the screened in porch or sitting in the nice Adirondack chairs outside, you had a birds eye view of everything that happened on the gut. We spent many hours sitting down on the beautiful dock. Thank you for sharing this great vacation spot.

The house is a great fit for my family. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking whatever meal you plan, there are plenty of towels, and games and a great view from the screened in porch.

We loved staying in this delightful cottage on the bay. It was everything we had expected and more, with wonderful large windows open to the breezes and water views. The host had thought of everything to make guests comfortable, informed, and entertained with well- appointed kitchen, library, and bedrooms. We so enjoyed our stay.

This cottage was the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts in a beautiful setting. It was well appointed with a wonderfully curated book selection for all ages to enjoy on the dock or lounging on the screened porch. Enjoyed the fireplace on the one cool evening we had. Wonderful cottage for an Maine vacation.

Beautiful watefront
The house was close enough to town, but far away enough to enjoy the tranquility. Loved watching the boats go by. The house was exactly what we expected and the view from the living room was amazing. Loved watching the sun set from the dock, and the occasional seal sightings. The hosts were responsive and very welcoming. We would definitely rent this house again!

Lovely, cozy cottage on the water
We loved staying at this cottage with a dock. The location on Townsend Gut is perfect for seeing boat traffic and seals, or if you have your own boat you can go up river or out to the ocean! It is a short drive from Boothbay Harbor and many great restaurants, as well as convenient to a large grocery store. The cottage is fully supplied with anything you might need, including a heater for those cool Maine nights. We look forward to going back next year!

A fanstastic week
We absolutely loved this cottage. It is quintessential Maine. It is incredibly well located, both in terms of being quiet and on-the-water yet also close to all the tourist attractions Boothbay has to offer. My kids enjoyed all the books, toys and games that come with the property. Overall, a great stay for our family.

Nostalgia and paddles
Great location in beautiful Boothbay Harbor. Charming cottage. Loved we could use the 4 kayaks. enjoyed the wildlife scenery - bald eagle, ospreys, seals and seagulls cracking the crabs on the dock. Paddles up Townsend Gut to rocky islands and little bays. Biked the charming winding roads with our dog in tow in a bike trailer. Loved the morning and evening walks around Juniper Point to the little beach. Total relaxation and bliss. The cottage has all you need. We cooked most dinners there. Love the porch. Hope to be back.

Cabin in the woods
This was our first visit to Maine and Boothbay Harbor. The location of the home was great: minutes away from Boothbay Harbor with boat tours, shops, and restaurants; and Coastal Botanical Gardens. This would be a great place to stay if you’re looking for a wooded setting but near things to do. Because it is so wooded (but right on the water!) not much sun came through and we were a bit chilly much of the time. The only place to get sun is down on the dock.
The furniture in living room could use an upgrade - it is outdated and uncomfortable.

Charming and Classic Maine cottage on the Bay
Very welcoming and comfortable - well appointed with all that a family could need to reconnect, relax or be active in a scenic location. Gorgeous views from all living spaces, including Master Bedroom . Beds were clean and comfy, A huge bonus was that property was dog-friendly - with extra items available if needed. Community location was fun to explore, both with and without our pup. Would love a return visit!

Perfection
This is our 2nd year. It was just as wonderful. I loved all the personal touches (games, books, location information, dishes etc.) The location and the community are all so friendly, even the dogs after the meet and greet were great. Next year I may try my hand at tennis. But then again the screened-in porch was amazing so much I could stay all day. My husband brings the small Whaler and puts it tied up to the deck, the launch is minutes from the house. So easy. Thank you Barb for sharing your family home. Cathy

Great Cabin Stay
Nostalgia! This home will take you back to a easier time and lit your mind at ease. My parents, 2 golden retrievers and my husband and I stayed here and it kept us wanting the outdoors. It was a great location to keep you off the beaten bath, but close to everything you needed.

Perfect Cottage for a small family vacation
Location, Location, Location!! Loved looking out the windows watching all the boat traffic especially the lobstermen that were literally grabbing their pots at the end of the private dock. The house is Pet Friendly which is a plus. We took our 135lb rottweiler and he had plenty of room and loved laying on the dock. Boothbay has so much to offer. Can't wait to return in the future. I would recommend this to any family of 4 or smaller.

Maine Cottage
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is well equipped and the bookcases were filled with a wonderful selection of vacation reading to suit any age or interest. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the smell of aged pine and salt air brought back childhood memories! The location is secluded and private on a channel; so no open ocean views, but still excellent for any number of activities and day trips in the Boothbay area. The Owners were great to work with, and the neighbors were friendly and shared great advice on local restaurants and activities.

Perfect Maine Cottage Experience!
We spent 3 weeks at this wonderful Juniper Point cottage and cannot wait to come back! This is the perfect Maine getaway for families and is fully stocked with games, fishing gear, and anything else you need for a great vacation. The location is right on Townsend Gut and couldn't have been a better location for our boat and has great proximity to Boothbay and Southport. Ironically, our extended family rented another home in East Boothbay but everyone congregated at Juniper Point for the "fun" activities. There is an awesome fire pit that is perfect for making s'mores, large screened patio, and a very nice private dock. WiFi enabled us to keep up with the corporate world during our stay and we can't say enough great things about the owners hospitality and the wonderful neighbors. Definitely recommend this property for families and anyone who truly wants a great Maine cottage experience!

Perfect vacation cottage
We just returned from a week at this cottage and loved it. We've been coming to the area for ten years now, but this was our visit time at this cottage. It was perfect. Our kids (7 and 11) loved all the books and games. Our son participated in the tennis clinic. We walked to the beach and the aquarium. Our kids made friends and loved swimming from the association dock to float. Beautiful view and lots of boat traffic. We had coffee each morning on the porch or dock. The cottage has everything you need, is very clean and inviting. We already plan to return.

So much to do, even when it rains.
This is a really cute cabin chock full of fun. If the weather is bad there are tons of books, toys and games to occupy your time. The aquarium down the road is also a blast. The view from the living room is the best. What a good time! I would definately go back!

Rest and Relaxation
We just recently spent our second summer at this cottage. Our stay was even better than it was last year due to the fact that we rented it for two weeks, rather than one. The location, constant thrill of the boat traffic, and the charm of the cottage are incomparable.

Truly an old fashioned Maine summer cottage
Positive aspects include very nice owners who left nice touches for us, beautiful views, cottage has some modern renovations (lovely porch & modern bathroom)....however, consider drawbacks which include: lack of privacy (there's a very close cottage right next door), lack of microwave (vacation should mean easier cooking!), lack of comfy seating (furniture is very old), and lack of internet. For the high price we paid (compared to other rates over the past twenty five years in Boothbay Harbor), we expected a bit more.
