House is a bit dated, but clean. The host is very accommodating and was easy to reach with the one question we had during our stay. Kitchen is well equipped and in a rarity for a rental, the knives were good quality and nicely sharpened! Parking is a challenge right by the house if you have more than two mid-sized cars. Neighbors are quiet.

Had a great time staying at this property, would definitely book it again.

Terrific patios, lots of room for little ones (3 & 6) to play. Two living rooms gave options for all of us. Good location for zoo, beach, children’s museum, and not a bad drive to Legoland. You can see what our focus was!

Has more space than I imagined! Clean property, exactly as listed. It is a very busy street, like posted on the listing. Host was responsive with any questions we had.

Celebrated my 50th birthday weekend with my family. There were 8 of us total and there was plenty of room to hang out and not feel like we were all up in each others space! The back patio is so big and yet cozy/inviting, loved enjoying my morning coffee in the peaceful space! The host Kevin was super attentive and easy to get ahold of. Would definitely recommend staying!!

Perfect place to gather the family with plenty of space to hangout inside or outside. Convenient location to great beaches and restaurants. Thank you!

Close to everything! On a very busy street. Large vehicles overhang the sidewalk. Tons of beach toys. House itself could use some TLC. Plenty of room for our party of 8 adults.

My family and I stayed here with my cousins and their families and we had an amazing time. The layout of the property is interesting, but accommodated the three families well enough.
Strong points:
1. Location. The location is amazing, just a few blocks east and you're at crown point beach, and a few blocks west you're at Mission bay. There was also a walkable cafe serving very affordable burritos and smoothie bowls.
2. Patio. The patio/backyard was where we hung out the most. The couches were comfortable and the outdoor dining table was convenient just next to the grill and couches. The string lights were also a nice touch for ambiance.
3. Bicycles + beach gear. They had several beach cruiser type bikes, but many had flat tires. A few were usable and fun to cruise along the boardwalk on mission bay. They had so much beach gear including sand toys for the kids, wagon, boogie boards, surf boards, beach chairs, umbrellas.
4. Property manager Kevin. He responded to nearly every text, email, and let me know as soon as I was able to check in. I left an item of clothing and he even mailed it back to me which was very hospitable.
Improvements:
1. No AC. When I arrived it was extremely stuffy, however, once opening the windows and using the fan it was OK. In July.
2. Kitchen. It is very tight with very old pans that are difficult to clean.
3. Jack/Jill bathroom: not all the doors lock so it's easy to get walked in on.
All in all, we had an excellent stay.

Pros:
-Central location
-Great layout, lots of space and separation so family can spread out.
-Nice outdoor space.
-Host was available and responsive. When I let him know about maintenance issues, he did offer to come right out to fix the issues.
-clean.
-comfy beds.
Cons:
-busy street, street noise was loud each night, and screaming revealers could be heard late into the night on weekends.
-Poor maintenance. Overall the house was fine, but there are a lot of minor maintenance issues (towel bar, vacuum cleaner, beach umbrellas) that are inconvenient. One that felt less minor was that at least three of the windows were broken such that they could not be opened, fully closed, or locked. This was a security issue, especially since one of the windows is in the kids (bunk bed) room.
-kitchen equipment left something to be desired. For example there were two baking sheets, but neither fit in the oven. There was salt, but no pepper. There was nothing supplied to store food; no containers, plastic wrap or foil. *A water filter would be a great addition, with San Diego’s notoriously bad tasting tap water.
Would I say again? Sure.
Would I go out of my way to make sure to get this house next time I visit? Probably not.

Mothers location for this place was perfect for what we needed. Not far from the airport and walking distance to a nice park and beach. It had enough beds and rooms for our group. Some of the furniture avexar-te-ás were a little dated and we could not get the tvs to work right but the owner was very attentive and when we had a question he would answer right away. Check in and check out were very easy.

Every morning we woke up with ants in two bedrooms and one bathroom. Kevin called pest control to fumigate. Everyday we would come back after our excursions to find more ants. We zippered our luggage closed. It may have been due to heavy rainfall but the house should not have been rented. The kids may remember LEGOLAND. The adults will remember ants. Yes, the location is fine; busy street but that was okay.

Good backyard to sit and enjoy. Close to attractions. But the ants were everywhere, rainwater was leaking into the middle of the rear sitting area, the street was very busy and noisy and the house is older than the photos Indicate.

This home is a lovely place to stay in San Diego. It is very close to the beach and the bay - and great for walking and other outdoor activities.

This property was a disappointment, especially for the cost. The door code was incorrect, the property was not cleaned (as in the beds were clearly slept in), host advised us where we could find linens to make the beds ourselves, and he promised a credit for this, which never occurred. The instructions say "sometimes there is traffic on the road". This is deceiving as the road is a main route through Mission Bay so traffic is continual. While some upgrades have been made, this house needs work, especially in the bathrooms. Yard is ok but not well maintained. Don't be fooled by the photos or positive reviews. This house was less than average.

Thank you, Kevin, for providing such a wonderful home away from home!
Spacious- perfect for 5 adults and 2 young children(6&3.)
Comfortable- relaxed setting and Beach decor added to the appeal. We also took advantage of all the beach equipment you provided, even the boogie boards!
Inside and out were very clean and well maintained.
Some of the reviews had mention ants, but we never encountered a problem at all.
All the beds were very comfortable. The bunkbed (double size) were great for the kids and the large railing that went around whole perimeter of top bunk was a relief.
Also, the separate casitas was perfect for our oldest son because it allowed him to sleep in the morning undisturbed.
The patio was the HIGHLIGHT..great for B-B-ques, meals and Conversation. Wonderful ambience especially during the evening with the soft lighting and fire pit.
Thanks again ,even, for all your attention to detail.
We LOVED it and we definitely recommend it.

We loved the outside table and fireplace with comfortable seating around it. We loved plenty of gathering spaces. There were multiple places to hang out together and also to be independently relax.
It was well stocked, with quality shampoo, laundry detergent, plenty of towels, including beach towels. All essential supplies were there in abundance. Including hand soap, which most places don't offer. It was liquid and not a yucky bar soap.
There were plenty of games available and books. We especially enjoyed the boogie boards, well functioning beach umbrellas, beach toys, foldable wagon, and beach chairs. They made such a difference at the beach!
The layout of the house was nice and open with skylights. We liked the detail of the stained glass windows. The whole house had personality without being run down. The sheets were cute. The art on the walls were nice. The decorations were uplifting. And the house was very clean and non cluttered.
The house was very warm on arrival but cooled quickly after opening the windows. We didn't know that the air conditioning plan was just opening windows but the owner clarified after arrival, verbally on the phone.
The doors and windows had screens on them to prevent bugs coming and going. However we didn't notice any bugs for the time we were there. Except for some ants but they were not a problem.
We felt secure with the locked gates on the fence. We loved that we could park our car in the garage. We loved the keypad lock so the 6 of us could all exit and enter independently.
We liked how responsive the owner was. And the list of instructions was simple and not too long.
We requested that he provide six bikes as was listed and he brought 2 more over.
Only 4 stars because the bikes were not in rideable condition but mostly because the propane tanks were both empty upon arrival, but it was listed as being provided. We requested them to be filled but he didn't do it. We ended up with the owner offering to refund us for us going and exchanging 1 tank ourselves. So we were only able to enjoy the fire pit one of the three nights we were there. He did refund money and he refunded $75 of the booking price.

Great rental for families
This property met all our needs. From size to amenities. As a group of grown adults and 2 kids under 2, we needed a place to be able to hang out and come and go. We loved the close walk to the bay and ALL the offerings in the garage for biking, transporting kids to and from etc. The home was clean, however needs a bit better ant pest control. WARNING!...Do not leave any food out - inside and out - the ants will attack. The courtyard out back was great - patio table/umbrella and the fire area with plenty of seating. However, it got quite warm there during the day when at the house. To solve that problem, we discovered the upper area behind the house - huge shade tree with a breeze, small patio area (we needed to severely clean the table, but that was fine) and we moved the patio chairs up. About 10 degrees cooler. We'd suggest to owner to develop this upper area a bit as it's left as an afterthought and add its own chairs. So lovely - capitalize on it. One last comment, Ingraham is a VERY busy street and narrow as Kevin mentions, BACK into the driveway - so much easier to get out. Thank you to Kevin for being a fabulous host - we WILL rent again and WILL highly recommend.

Great property for groups
We had a great experience, the house fit all of us perfectly! There was so much space, the house was clean when we arrived, and Kevin was great about being in touch if we needed him. There were plenty of items for the beach, and the outdoor space was awesome! Would definitely recommend to others.

Great place for family
Our stay was amazing! Little things that Kevin is taking care of, but overall was great. We had our two daughters and spouses and two baby in the house.
Kevin had two high chairs and cribs brought to the house.
We totally enjoyed the outside patio and my husband and I sleeps in the casita.
We were there for my son’s Wedding in Balboa Park.
Would highly recommend, Kevin was very accommodating.

Crown Point Family Retreat
This trip was a mini family reunion of sorts. I wanted a comfortable, kid and pet friendly home walking distance to the beach and we could not have been happier. this property is not so fancy that I worried about a little sand on the floor or the 4 children we had all under the age of 8 doing damage.
The outdoor living space si where we spent the majority of our time. It was comfortable, spacious and had room for all.
Thank you to this host for all that you did for us!

Proximity to Mission Bay walking path can't be beat!
The best part about the house was the outside, private seating area and the proximity to the walking path around Mission Bay! As was clearly stated in the description, it was hard to get out of the driveway being on such a busy street, but not a big deal. There were bikes but no helmets which I would have liked to have known as I would have brought my own but instead I had to rent a bike and helmet. Overall, it is a nice place to stay in a great vacation.

Long Weekend Stay
The main thing that concerned us was the fact that the checkout instructions specifically ask to “not strip the bed sheets” because it is easier for the cleaning staff. However some of our sheets had hairs and in general didn’t look like they were changed or cleaned from the last guest. Overall the house did the job spent most of the time by the fire pit when we were at the house which was nice. There were a lot of ants.

Great outdoor feature
My family loved spending time out on the patio. It had enough room for everybody to sit and eat as well as to sit around the fire at night. The location of this house is within walking distance to the bay.

Family stay In San Diego
Overall we had a great stay! House was nice for a great group and very comfortable! Furniture was all very nice and outdoor patio was great and relaxing! Note that the 4th bedroom is separate from the house, which I missed when booking this property! The owner was very responsive to all of our issues and concerns! There was a leak in the hall bathroom ceiling due to rain, we also experienced a lot of ants. I had read this on a prior review just hoped it was resolved. Property manager came out and sprayed immediately just didn’t resolve the issue. The bikes are not as pictured in the listing so I wouldn’t count on using them!

Family gathering
We very much enjoyed our stay. We were in San Diego for a hockey tournament and this was the perfect property for the entire family to get together. Great areas to gather together and enough space to get away from each other if needed!

Clean and great location
Overall, our stay was great! The house was clean and had plenty of amenities. Kevin was great to communicate with as he responded quickly when a coffee pot was found to be broken on arrival and when the top container of the blender was missing on our 3rd day; he personally came to drop one off within the hour. The house had plenty of room for the 8 us. The jack and jill bathroom was great since the toilet and shower were separate. It allowed others to shower while someone was in the bathroom since it has separate doors. Kitchen had plenty of space for all the items we had brought and there were spices that we used that came in handy. Some of the pots and pans need to be replaced but was not a problem for us since we like to bring some of our own. The location was great because we were close to many things. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely come back!!

Awesome backyard!
We had such a nice stay on Crown Point. The weather was a bit cooler than anticipated (early Feb stay) but we had tons fun. The house was very spacious for our 4 adults and 2 small kids. We enjoyed hanging out in the back TV area and the backyard. Grilling out and sunning around the fire pit was exactly what we wanted! The front room was a bit noisy due to road traffic but overall didn’t bother us. Kevin’s notes on parking we’re very helpful - backing the minivan in at an angle worked great. The house heaters were a bit tricky but we figured it out. Overall we had a wonderful trip and would fully recommend a stay at this house!

Wonderful in every way!
Loved the home and the decor. Great place to have a family reunion. Cozy places to gather to watch TV, eat meals and the outside area to BBQ or sit around the fire pit were the best. But also plenty of room to go off by yourself to read or catch up with family. And the location was the greatest. Just a short walk to the bay and bike paths. Can’t wait to go back!
