Nice newer place with great location for our annual family fishing trip. Owner was very responsive to our questions with easy check in and out. It has plenty of parking and even a spot inside the garage. The only thing lacking was access to the washer and dryer. We used a laundromat a few miles away.

Very comfortable for six adults. Close to dock to be picked up by fishing guide and nice cleaning station at dock. The BBQ was nice to prepare dinners.

Enjoyed the lovely house, especially its closeness to Fort Stevens campground where our annual family campout was hosted this year, and easy access to Astoria. We look forward to a return visit!

This is our second stay at Hammond House. The home is quiet, clean and perfect for us. The home is nicely decorated and well laid out. It is within walking distance of a couple of restaurants/bars and Fort Stevens/harbor. Check-in was as easy as it gets. Love the privacy of the back yard and surrounding wildlife. But the responsiveness from the property manager made this a 5*. Thank you. I hope we get to stay here again sometime.

This is a very nice, clean home in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Fort Stevens, harbor and local restaurants/bars. Love the private backyard and the wildlife going by in the front. The Property Manager (Scott) was very responsive when we needed, otherwise no issues. This is our second time staying here because we loved it so much the first time.

It was perfectly situated for salmon fishing in the Columbia river! Unfortunately the Columbia river closed for salmon fishing the day we got there, But it still offered an ideal location for many fisheries. I will most definitely be booking again.

Quiet, clean, comfortable home
This home was in a quiet neighborhood/street, but close to where we wanted to be. It was walking distance to the marina for a nice walk, and to a couple of local restaurant/bars. Very comfortable beds, clean home, great towels! and all the amenities we needed. Loved the private back yard and the BBQ grill. Really enjoyed our time and property manager was responsive when we had a question.
Thank you. would definitely stay here again.

Loved the proximity of the marina and Fort Stevens. Beds were comfortable. Did not like that two of the remotes were missing! Elk visited the backyard!

Nice property
We enjoyed our stay at Hammond House. Check-in, etc. was very easy & everything was ready upon our arrival. There weren't enough towels & washcloths for the complete stay, but the owner helped resolve that issue. Otherwise everything was as expected. We would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to the area.

Great coastal escape
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here as a base camp for a 21 mile coastal hike. Close proximity to several lakes we paddle boarded for miles on end. Great place to stay with kitchen full of all tools necessary to make a seafood feast. Highly recommended!

This is a great location close to Astoria, seaside and the state parks. Unfortunately our whole group wasn't able to come but also grateful it worked out that way because there would not have been enough room. This home can fit 6 adults (3couples)comfortably. PROS: comfy beds, clean home, great location. CONS: There is no air-conditioning and I did not remember reading that in the description, but maybe I missed it. 1 fan was broken. Everything could use a good dusting. You pay a hefty cleaning fee and do 60% of the work for the cleaning people. They(whoever cleans) left an envelope to tip but we didnt really feel that was right considering we did most of the work for them and they should be getting paid well enough to not have to ask.. There wasn't any extra garbage bags so we had to get through our week at the home on one garbage bag. The garbage oitside was full when we arrived so that also made it challenging for us and the garbage we accumulated.

Nice House
Nice clean newer house in a great location, maybe 10 minutes from Astoria, a couple blocks from the boat basin and river. For the money I feel the owner could provide a few more appointments like extra garbage bags (none) extra TP (none), kleenex (none) but if you know that going in its OK I guess

Awesome stay, very happy
We stayed here for four nights and fove days and hope to stay again! The location is great, just a short walk from the beach, a few minutes drive to the Peter Iredale shipwreck, 10 minutes to Astoria, 15 minutes to Seasode, half an hour to Cannon Beach, and less than an hour and a half to Tillamook where we toured the cheese factory. The house is beautiful, you can tell the owners paid a lot of attention to detail in all of the decor. Everything was clean and organized upon arrival. No access to the washer and dryer, but there was a laundry mat only a minute or two away which worked out perfectly. We saw maybe a dozen elk roaming around the neighborhood which was really neat; they seem to love it here and are very comfortable.

Brand new house
The house was beautiful and brand new. There was a brand new gas grill out back that came in handy. Would have liked more towels for guests and access to the washer and dryer. Big downfall: game cameras up in the back yard attached to trees and hidden. Couldn't tell if they were in and taking pictures of us or not, but very disturbing; and they were not part of the security system that was turned off, they were actual game cameras that have an sd card in them and take pictures of any movement. Patio out back was okay. No front yard, just sand. Location was fair, kind of a run down neighborhood but we didn't experience any problems. Venus the contact person was very accomadating.

Very nice house
I would stay again if we come back to this area. The beds were very comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms was important for us. Everything we read about the house was realized upon our arrival.

Hammond House
This is a lovely new home, clean and well suited for a family. We stayed with our three kids and found the home comfortable the kitchen was well equipped for cooking, though a larger pot for boiling pasta would have been nice, since we are vegan and cook most our meals on vacations. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, the location is great because you have easy access to seaside, Fort Steven's, Astoria and even Long Beach Washington. If I were to change anything I would allow access to the washer and dryer for rentals it's a priority with families and the beach to be able to have a washer on extended stays, I filled to make sure this was an option and assumed it came with the house rental. Overall a wonderful stay, prompt responses to any concerns and a late checkout was allowed and this made for a leisure day when we had to head home. Thank you, I would stay here again.

Great location! Lovely home!
Our family spent a week at this beautiful and well-appointed home. Although it is not on the beach, we were literally 5 minutes away. It is centrally located to quite a few attractions and we were provided a very comprehensive list of "things to see and do", by the owners, plus cable TV and Internet service. The home was full of interesting historical pictures of the area. The owners were only a phone call away when we had a question.
We tried the local restaurants and were very pleased with the food and the service. We enjoyed the Maritime Museum in Astoria and the shops and sights in Seaside. There just wasn't enough time to do it all!
We look forward to visiting this area again this year and hopefully we can rent this beautiful property a second time. We felt right at home!
