Frühstück gut, Lage sehr zentral.
Zimmer (Altbau) in die Jahre gekommen, benötigen Auffrischung, Kissen grausam.

1 told me my booking was wrong and that I must pay extra for their mistake.
The others were kind but 1 was just rude.

The afternoon front desk person was very helpful. He got us an extra bed and fans for our warm rooms and made suggestions for a trip to the Mummelsee. It was also nice we got rooms next to each other. Achern has some very nice restaurants and shopping if you have time to look around. The breakfast room on the 4th floor is bright and cheery and has an nice selection of breakfast items.
The 2 rooms I booked faced west and got afternoon sun and were very warm when we got there, but we were given floor fans by the front desk which helped cool the room once the sun went down. The sun shining in just bakes the rooms, even on cooler days, if the shades aren't lowered. I paid extra for the larger room because it was said to sleep 3 persons (for 1 adult and 2 children), but an extra bed was needed. I could have saved money by booking a smaller room and asking for and extra bed. The view of the dead tree out the window at the back of the building was an eyesore and should be cut down. And the pool is only accessable for hotel guests at certain times of the day because it is rented out to water aerobics classes in the am and pm hours. The pool patio area outside where the dead tree is needs a tidy up, also. The breakfast room carpet is stained and looks dirty near the food area. And the cable TV in our rooms no longer offered CNN News channel, but it is still listed as an offering on their TV channel list in the room.

Nice views
Some breakfast tables were needing cleared for long time

The location is in the centre of a bustling town but was very quiet. Despite central location the car park was large and secure. The buffet breakfast was good and served in a fourth floor panoramic restaurant.
It’s probably time to think about replacing the carpets in the lobby and staircase.

We truly enjoyed our stay. When we return to Fautenbach, this is definitely where we will stay. The breakfast was amazing. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so we could not enjoy the incredible view, but that just made us want to return sooner.
