The onsen was absolutely amazing! Loved it. Also, the room was a good size and the location was very close to Kitahama station (about 5 mins).
They didn't have any of the amenities ready for us in the room, had to go about 3-4 times to ask for missing stuff. I mentioned in my note we were on our honeymoon, but no thought was given. The room had amenities only for one person. One slipper, one toothbrush etc. The front desk didn't really speak English very well. We could communicate, but not super clearly.

Close to a train station. Nice onsen, sauna and cold plunge.
Tiny room, no view.

The location was very centralized and it was easy to get around where we needed to get to.
The rooms that have “double beds” should be larger rooms and larger beds. Instructions were not clear with the air conditioner.

We had a spacious room with comfy bed, everything you could possibly need in terms of amenities. The public onsen was great, everything was clean and thoughtful as one would expect.
3min walk from station with good local restaurants nearby. I’d certainly come back.
Reception staff was nonchalant. Unlike the expected politeness from Japanese staff, they ignored us and spent most of their time chatting among themselves, even when we greeted them as we walk in and out of the lobby. Disappointing.

Onsen and free ramen and ice cream. Breakfast.

Great accommodation with a central location in Osaka, close to subway lines to all the main tourist spots (all within 30 minutes commute). The onsen was amazing, with the little guide that really helped me understand how to use an onsen. The room was very basic with no decor however, spacious and comfortable, with all needed for our stay.
Big bonus, the massage chair, the complementary ice creams, yakult and ramen. Just little touches to help make our stay for 5 nights feel like home, especially we were travelling with friends, the common area allowed us to relax together after a long day out.
Would like a touch of colour/decor in the rooms, this isn't an issue, it was just very white, cream and brown. But not at all an issue.

Gave us a double room eventhough we selected a twin room. If you can book separate twin and double rooms, then make sure you can provide the correct type of room, or don't let me book it.

The hotel offered all of what you'd expect from a good stay. Things were clean, standard amenities and toiletries were available, and the room was very quiet. However, there were no bells and whistles to bring the stay up beyond an "adequate" level. The best part, for us at least, was how quickly we could get to the Shin Osaka Station and Dotonbori from the hotel. If you're visiting to experience some of Osaka's famed nightlife, this will be a nice central location for you. It isn't too far of a trek to get to a train, bus, or shinkansen from the hotel at all.
The standard room offering is quite cramped for two people. Similar offerings around the country offered quite a bit more space for the price. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider when planning your stay.

clean room, great amenities like hot springs and relaxation area; all complimentary popsicles, ramen and Yakut drinks are delightful
lack of English translation inside the room, unclear on how to turn the toilet light

in such a busy city, getting back to the room felt relaxing !
this is my fault - the location felt too much like a business district. would of chosen a different neighbourhood next time

My wife and I really like the Dormy Inn chain of hotels. For Japanese hotels, we have always gotten spacious rooms. There is consistency in the brand. The rooms and facilities are always clean. The onsens are always large enough to accommodate the guests. Usually two or three baths plus a sauna and some outdoor space or outdoor ventilation. They offer small snacks in the afternoon. The breakfast buffets offer a wide variety of dishes.
