Villa Mareneve is a building in typical Sicilian style, with comfortable and spacious exteriors to underline the favorable climate for a holiday spent outdoors; furthermore, the interiors, being of new construction, have been realized with the comforts of a good hotel, with private bathrooms in each bedroom, but with the advantages of living a holiday exclusively in the company of the family or with their friends.
The villa is surrounded by the lush greenery of the Sicilian countryside, with lemon trees, oranges, and Mediterranean plants of all kinds; It is equipped with all comforts included in the price, namely: wifi, dishwasher, heating and air conditioning in time (7 hours during the 24 hours).
The position of this structure is very particular because, situated halfway between the Etna Volcano and the Ionian Sea, it has a spectacular view in both directions, and this has much advantage when there are volcano eruptions, because you can admire from all the windows and the openings of the west side of the structure, while from the east side it is beautiful to witness the dawn of the sun, in the morning, but also at the dawn of the full moon reflecting on the sea making it shine of silver light. Half of the villa is used as a holiday home while the owners live in the other half. The entrances, and the gardens are completely separate and independent, so there is complete privacy, the pool (12 x 6 m and 2.20 cm deep) is open from the first of April until the end of October and is for exclusive use of guests.

The ground floor consists of a large kitchen with a dining table for 13 people, a living room, a bedroom with double bed and two single beds, en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi, toilet and bidet, and there is a separate bathroom with toilet and shower . On the first floor there are four bedrooms all with private bathroom (toilet, bidet and shower) and double beds. The terraces are located both on the first floor and on the ground floor, one is covered, the others are uncovered; They are furnished with beautiful furniture and enjoy views of the sea and Mount Etna. An ideal property also for a stay in the off season.

We had a fantastic stay at this villa. The villa had everything we needed and was perfect for six adults. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking our meals and the patio was great for al fresco dining. The pool was a fabulous way to cool off during hot, sunny afternoons.
The views of Mt Etna and the Mediterranean are amazing. Mara was an excellent host! She was responsive to all our questions and requests. There are pets (a dog and cats) on the property; Mara will restrict their visiting if you wish. We highly recommend this villa and will certainly look to stay with Mara again when we are next visiting eastern Sicily.

We had a dream week in this beautiful Sicilian villa. We were a family of 6 adults and 4 children and we were very comfortable. The gardens, swimming pool and terraces were perfect for us. The photos and descriptions are identical to reality. We were even able to observe an eruption of the Etna, visible from the villa. Thank you to our host Mara for her welcome and advice.

We stayed in this Villa for a month. Absolutely an awesome time! Mara our caretaker was extremely helpful and always willing to guide us or translate for us when we didn’t understand. The Villa is beautiful! The pictures are very accurate. Mara’s parents made us feel very welcome too! We would definitely stay again if we visit Sicily.

Exactly as advertised, beautiful property hidden away behind two electronic gates. The villa was as advertised and was an oasis.
Mara, our host, was perfect. She was quick to respond to our needs and went far above what would be expected. One of our guest got sick and Mara arranged medical treatment for her.
The living conditions were more than adequate although we would have liked a few swiffers at a couple of points of our stay!! There was a washer (which we used every day but no dryer) clothes were hung out to dry and came in with an amazing smell. The stove and oven were small but they were seldom used by us. Plenty of restaurants in the town and all throughout Sicily.
Bottom line, Mara and the Villa were a "Once in a Lifetime" experience!!! We would highly recommend Villa Mareneve to everyone!!

The property was as described, very clean spacious and well located. Ideal for small group or family group. Property manager Mara was friendly and very helpful. Recommend having a car to get about and ideally located to visit other places and towns within Sicily.

Villa Mareneve has the potential to be a really good rental property. It has lush, well maintained gardens with a splendid pool and views to both the sea and to Mount Etna. Mara, the host who lives in an adjoining part of the property, responded quickly to our questions and requirements both before and during our visit.
The interior of the villa however needs some TLC. Various things were broken or didn’t function well, for example the cooker light, a blocked washbasin and plugs that didn’t allow water to stay in basins. Additional blankets were provided on our request after a very cool night, whereas in most properties these are immediately to hand. The lighting was old fashioned and inadequate, making the whole place seem rather dark. Solar energy is used for heating the hot water so there was never enough in the evening for showers, even on sunny days. Mara had to arrange a top up via the boiler on several occasions. The shower doors upstairs were difficult to close and caused leakage. The bed mattresses were too worn and not comfortable. Likewise the pillows were too small and uncomfortable.
Better signage is required in order to find the villa. A small “151” on the wall, partially hidden by foliage, was the only indication but a prominent villa name would be of assistance. However, it is a safe location with electronically controlled entry gates, giving a feeling of security. Several reviews from previous years mentioned that the front door lock needs attention. It still does as it takes a lot of fiddling to get it to open!
The owners are quite rightly concerned with recycling and we were diligent in putting waste in the correct bins. For visitors staying more than a few days additional bags should be provided for rubbish since separate bins were needed for 4 categories of trash.
Villa Mareneve is in a quiet location and is conveniently situated for visits by car to Taormina, Mount Etna, Syracusa, local supermarkets and restaurants.

The Villa was just lovely and did not disappoint. The accommodations with each bedroom having a private bath was a big plus. We were 6 adults and 2 children and everyone was very comfortable and happy. The Villa and grounds were well cared for as was the wonderful pool.

La maison est idéalement située entre la mer et l'Etna. Proche de Catane. Facilement accessible grâce à l'autoroute. La maison est très bien conçue, spacieuse et chaleureuse. Die Villa war sehr sehr schön, total komfortabel und sauber. Der Außenbereich, vor alles der Pool hat uns allen sehr zugesagt. Der Pool war riesig. Der Ausblick hat uns jeden Tag zum Staunen gebracht. Auf der einen Seite hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer und auf der anderen Seite kann man den Etna beim qualmen zusehen, absolut cool!
Die Gastgeberin Mara war sehr nett, der Kontakt war unproblematisch und immer sofort zur Stelle. Wir haben einen Abend bei Ihr ein Abendessen gebucht. Wir haben Fisch gewählt und das Essen war absolute Spitzenklasse, jedem neuen Gast würde ich empfehlen einen sizilianischen Abend bei Mara zu buchen!

Great Place To Stay
We loved Villa Mareneve, and it was the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Sicily. The villa itself is spacious, clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. The bedrooms were all comfortable, the kitchen was fully outfitted, we had plenty of living space, and the pool and grounds were beautiful. Not only that, but we had a beautiful view of Mt. Etna from our patio and the villa is centrally located to great spots like Taormina, Siracusa, Etna, beaches, and other sites. Mara, the caretaker/owner, was terrific and was always available if we needed restaurant or touring suggestions or if we had any requests or questions. It was perfect for our group of 6 adults, and could have comfortably fit more. Our only complaints: the front door is a bit tricky to open (but fine once you learn the trick) and only 7 hours per day of air conditioning is included, though you can purchase additional hours for a reasonable fee. Highly recommended, and many thanks to Mara for helping us experience a truly wonderful vacation.

Fantastic Property/Excellent Property Manager
Mara is a fantastic property owner. You could not ask for anyone more attentive and helpful. Unfortunately we had minor medical issues/illnesses for several of the people and Mara went out of her way to make contacts for us and help locate the proper places for help/items. Mara and her mother prepared a wonderful meal for us one night. The property is exactly as described and is spacious and beautiful with a fantastic setting and view. It is right in between Taormina and Catania (about 20 minutes to each place) and near Mt. Etna....about 1 hour 15 minutes from Siracusa. Very near (5 minutes) the Autostrade. at Giarre.

Perfect Vacation Spot
We loved our time at Villa Mareneve. Our host Mara was very sweet and accommodating and it was very convenient having her on the property to assist when needed. The house is just lovely and in the perfect location for exploring the area. The views are breathtaking with the sea on one side and Etna on the other. Lovely villa which is set in lovely gardens. Villa is well equipped and was very clean. We were a family of 6 and we all felt it was very spacious both inside and outside. The pool is very big although the weather wasn’t quite good enough for us to enjoy it although the kids had a brief dip! Property is accessed via 2 security gates and set back from the road. It is very private and secluded with stunning views to the sea and to Mount Etna. The local village has supermarkets and other small local shops. It is close to the motorway making getting around very easy. Would highly recommend this villa. All interactions with the owner before arriving and once there were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming.
