The worst and most horrible guest house ever

I feel compelled to share my horrendous experience at Selamod Guest House, Chaneng, Rustenburg, which left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the owner had little to no regard for the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. First and foremost, the complete absence of parking facilities was a nightmare. As paying guests, we expected the basic convenience of having a designated parking area. Instead, we were left to fend for ourselves, wasting precious time and energy searching for parking spaces nearby. This lack of consideration for guests' needs is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, the noise levels at Selamod Guest House, Chaneng, Rustenburg was unbearable. I feel like if there is an event, the owner was supposed to book out their place. Adding insult to injury, the rate we paid for our stay was an absolute rip-off. The condition and quality of the guest house were far from what was advertised or expected. The rooms were unkempt, outdated, and lacked basic amenities. It was a shock to realize that we had prepaid for such a subpar experience. The value for money was non-existent, leaving us feeling cheated and deceived. The most frustrating part of this ordeal was that we had already prepaid for our stay. However, the dire conditions and lack of care from the owner forced us to abandon our reservation and search for alternative accommodations. This unexpected inconvenience and additional expenses were an unnecessary burden that we should not have had to endure. I strongly advise against staying at Selamod Guest House, Chaneng, Rustenburg. The owner's negligence, absence of parking, incessant noise, and unjustifiably high rates make it clear that guest satisfaction is not a priority. Save yourself the trouble and disappointment by seeking alternative accommodations that prioritize their guests' comfort and well-being.

The wedding guests

How the staff welcomed us upon our arrival.we didn't even have to explain ourselves about checking in.it's like they already knew specifically the type of people they were expecting. The staff is respectful and have loving-kindness. The place was clean.However the bed was not the quality i expected.

Good overnight stay

Nice people/staff

There were two of us, and we could only get one big towel and one hand towel - the lady said it is policy. The DsTv wasn't working, just the adverts channel.

Next to the guest rooms is a family house, and some members of the family were very rude, especially the guy driving the construction bakkie. The property has no security gates, and guests are expected to park their cars far from their room. There's no reception, We were welcomed by a little girl aged around 13-14 years who was not even aware that we have booked accommodation at their property.

It's clean

No breakfast. Only in the morning were we informed of how we had to book breakfast. Noone greeted us upon arrival, basically non communication. Not courteous at all. I don't recommend.

The stay was overall good, we were happy. The garden is beautiful and some of the rooms

The owners are super friendly and they went the extra mile to make us feel at home.

One of the rooms by the corner that were given to us was super old and the shower was horrible. The beds are super small as well

Horrible. Never again.

The room was clean.

Location was bad. It was noisy. The guests were noisy and management did nothing. I couldnt sleep. People arrived at 05:30 from a party and sat right outside my room chatting. Worst experience ever. Also the guest house doesnt have a gate. so security is very bad.

My stay was horrible!!!

The property is clean and modern.

The reception is not clear. Welcome was cold from the other family members of the establishment. They gave me a room that is smaller than what I had paid for, there is no coordination for bookings. TV, aircon and the lights were not working. Their family was making noise in the morning and I had to wake up early due to their noise. There was no water in the morning. My vehicle was bumped in the parking lot and I was told that their cameras were not working. I suggest that they should remove the bath tub in room 8 because it takes up space in the toilet.

The Facility is cosy & warm don’t mind to revisit the place again

The establishment is close to Sun City and Ledig, my grandparents home town

The water pressure was extremely low @ night, we couldn’t take a proper bath. Showers were worse, there was no water at all

The property has lots of potential, the service rendered does not justify the rate charged.

I was attending a funeral in Robega, a village nearby and this property was closest to it. It is very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Staff attitude. The young lady who received me was very unprofessional, clearly inexperienced and not trained on customer service. I found her to be rude, kept me waiting whilst she was on a long personal call and failed to even acknowledge me. The room had no towels and she took too long to bring them. I asked her for an hour's grace before checking out, she agreed but did not inform the cleaning staff. My room was therefore invaded when I got back within the agreed time slot.

it’s very close to Sun-city. The room was nice and comfortable.They we’re flexible and able to reschedule our booking, at no extra charge 🙂. They have generators to make up for load shedding🙂

There was an issue with water. when u open the tap, and nothing comes out, then 5 minutes later the water is running in the bathroom. if we had gone out, that would have been a huge problem. The water was sometimes hot, other times just like warm and there was a big cockroach in the bathroom. 🙁

Disappointed my last night.

No breakfast included Location was notwhat I expected no network wi fi bad. The fact that I changed the rooms on my last day because of the shower that was used while I was out was a no go area.the room I spend my last night was uncomfortable as I could hear wailing sounds from opposite house almost all night.

To be treated with respect all the way ,keep the room that i paid for my whole stay.The owner could not even take responsibility of what happened but send a son to do damage control. One would wonder..
