About this apartment rental
Our apartment is set within the mature and well maintained private gardens of the Tala Gardens development. The apartment’s large terrace has a stunning view of the coastline around Paphos and its suburbs. The terrace is uncovered and is generally bathed in direct sunlight from midday. The terrace overlooks the gardens and communal pool on the Tala Gardens development.
Our apartment features 2 bedrooms (one twin, one double), one bathroom and a spacious and light feeling open plan kitchen, living, dining area, which opens on to a private terrace - the perfect spot for al-fresco dining and watching Cyprus's most beautiful sunsets. Bedrooms are spacious and have good storage.
You will have use of the pool area, which is surrounded by flowering shrubs and enjoys stunning sea views. The pool is for residence use only, which makes your stay here feel even more like a home from home. There are plenty of sun loungers, chairs and large umbrellas around the pool.
To make your luggage a little lighter and to make our apartment feel more like home it has a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, a Cypriot barbeque, washing machine, free WiFi, air conditioning, ceiling fans, 32 inch television with English channels, cool bag and CD player/radio, a WiFi speaker, towels.
The kitchen is very well equipped for all your holiday needs including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, hob, oven and microwave.
The development is a short walk from the traditional villages of Tala and Stephanie. Tala Square and Stephanie village offer an array of different restaurants which serve traditional and more modern European cuisine. There are also cafes, bars, and an area where you can unwind with a game of boule/petanque. If you are looking for a wider choice of places to eat and drink Paphos Harbour and Coral bay are only 10 minutes drive away.
Tala Amphitheatre is just a short drive away. Enjoy a lovely meal or coffee at the Amphitheatre Cafe Bar during the day or have a great night out under the stars listening to some of the wonderful tribute acts. Check dates for availability. Tickets can be purchased on line or at the village kiosk.
Stephanie village also has a very well stocked convenience store, chemist and delicatessen.
A large supermarket can be found 10 minutes drive away at Phillipos in Coral Bay. There is also a large Papantoniou supermarket in Chloraka just a few minutes drive.
Activities :
There are a wide range of activities available at Paphos Harbour and Coral Bay which are both approx. 10 minutes drive away. There are many water sports including paragliding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, snorkelling, diving etc. Jet skis and motor boats can also be rented. Numerous boat trips are available from Paphos harbour or travel to Latchi and hire one of the many boats from Latchi Watersports Centre to visit the beautiful Blue Lagoon.
For those with children, there are many activities to enjoy. A visit to the Waterpark in Paphos or the Bird and Animal park near Coral Bay are worth a day out. A visit to ‘Foot Golf’ in Chloraka and Island Cove Adventure Golf in Yeroskipou also good fun.
For the more active, there are numerous walking trails in the Troodos mountains, or in the Akamas peninsula. Visit the Akamas National Park and the renowned Lara Bay Turtle Conservation. There is also a lovely coastal path from Paphos Harbour.
Jeep or quad bike safaris are available for those who want more excitement.
History:
For those interested in history, the Paphos area boasts many archeological sites and museums with several UNESCO world heritage sites. Look at the stunning mosaics in the house of Dionysos, house of Theseus and House of Aion in Kato Pahos, the Tombs of the Kings, the crusader forts in Paphos harbour and Limassol, the amazing and extensive ruins at Kourion etc.
There are also numerous monasteries worthy of a visit including Agios Neofytos which is just a very short drive (you can also walk it) away sitting just above Tala Village. Enjoy a lovely Cyprus coffee or cool drink outside in their cafe.
Visit the many golf courses across the island to play or have lunch. Sunday lunch at Minthis Hills is very good. Gorgeous views from the terrace.
A trip to the many wineries is also a lovely day out. Tsangarides winery in Lemona is set in a beautiful location and is a lovely drive through stunning countryside. Anglos and his staff make you feel very welcome. Complimentary tastings and snacks are provided. Visit the Vouni Panayi winery for a meze set lunch and a complimentary wine tasting. These are just one of the many wineries available (the local tourist board have published various wine routes across the island).
Details of these and other activities can be found in the apartment.
We recommend that anyone staying in our apartment have access to a car for the duration of their stay, as taxis are expensive and the public transport system servicing Tala is limited.
Please note children must be supervised at all times particularly around the pool & on the balcony.

Love Cyprus, as stayed in other areas over the years!! This was first time in Tala village but hopefully won't be our last. Loved the area and fact that there were lots of local amenities within walking distance too! Would definitely recommend if you like local culture of countries!! Thank you!!

This is a fantastic property in a lovely complex. Wonderful views, very handy to all the sights of Paphos (you will need a car though).

Tala Gardens is an exceptionally well kept group of apartments, with great gardens and large pool.
The apartment had great 180 degree views of the coast taking in lower Tala, the coast down to Paphos and over to Coral Bay plus we were lucky to see the sunsets just in front of us, in November. The balcony was large enough for a table and chairs and sunbeds. Inside, the lounge was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and we enjoyed the open plan aspect.

We enjoyed staying at this property, the views were stunning with beautiful sunsets, and the local village had great restaurants and not too far to walk, albeit a very steep climb, so not for the elderly or disabled, you can drive to the village square.

Just come back from Tala Cyprus had an absolutely fantastic time, the apartment was stunning in a great location beautiful views , the apartment had everything that we needed, would definitely recommend it, thank you for a lovely family holiday

This is a spacious, clean apartment with all the basics you will need. The view from the balcony is stunning and the pool area is beautifully maintained with lots of sun loungers and tables. Sometimes we had the pool to ourselves. In Tala there are plenty of restaurants but it's very hilly if you're walking up to the square from the apartment. Would definitely recommend renting a car for easy access to Paphos and further away. We would recommend this apartment.

Lovely apartment with great views. Had everything you need
Lovely apartment in a good setting and views
Had everything you needed very clean. The only drawback was not being told in the advertisement was that there was no lift we arrived in the dark late at night looking for a lift luckily a resident told us there was no lilt. My husband who has a disability had to carry out very heavy luggage up 2 flights of stairs twice it. It was not good I would have given it 5 stars if not for this. Please put no lift in you advertisement to warn people. Otherwise had a great 3 weeks.

Lovely Apartment
Lovely stay in a lovely apartment. Well located for getting out and about. Short walk uphill to local village with bars and restaurants but a car is required if you want to travel to Pathos and the beach. Lovely little pool area and gardens, all well maintained . Can highly recommend .

Amazing views
The apartment was amazing we loved it everything was supplied that you needed for a self catering holiday. The only problem we had was the air conditioning in the lounge, we chose the coldest week of the spring to go here so when it got down to 5c at night we needed heating but the room air con unit would not provide it. We ended up buying a blowing heater for 11 euros .
Thankyou Patrik for letting us stay in your apartment we loved it.

At first we had a bit of trouble finding the apartment, after we had picked up the car from the airport but once we arrived and parked the car everything was so wonderfully easy and uncomplicated.
The apartment: It was very clean and everything is exactly as the pictures had depicted it and even more (some modernization upgrades). From watching the sunset on the terrace to waking up in the sunbathed apartment in the morning, everything was just great. I can only recommend Tala Gardens, for everything you need around you (including so many beautiful beaches) is just so easily reachable (by car) and even longer trips to Limassol for example, were hardly over an hour.
If you are looking to have a real experience far away from hotels and to see and overlook Cyprus from the hills over Paphos, I say go for it. We definitely had a wonderful time.

Tala Gardens
The apartment has superb views of Pafos and the sea from its veranda. We had all the necessary stuff in our possession as kitchen equipment, washing machine, TV and etc. The location of the complex, neighbors, and gardens are wonderful. The supermarkets and different tourist places are not far away. We had a great experience staying here. Highly recommend this apartment if you are keen on the beautiful views, quiet and peaceful places like Tala Gardens.

Firstly I want to thank Patrick for his attention to detail contained in his communication regarding the apartment and his speedy response to any queries, it was most appreciated. The apartment has just about everything you need for a stay, washing machine, dish washer, beach towels, sun beds, outside patio furniture, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds and of course wine glasses. The balcony catches the sun from around 10am and finishes the day with fabulous sunset views. Your view is a sea view only interrupted by the apartments beautifully maintained gardens. Tala Square is an uphill, very uphill in some places, walk of around 8 mins. We found Melitzia Tavern to be friendly with great food and good prices and of course, thankfully, a downhill walk back. It's a pretty quiet area but we also realise that we were staying during unusual times with a pandameic present. The pool was unusable during our stay due to Covid but it didn't ruin anything for us as we would head to the coast for a dip in the sea. I would recommend car hire, there is shaded private parking.I'm definitely going to recommend to friends and family. A great stay from the chaos going on the world right now.

Great location and views
We had such a lovely 10 days. I had to give it a bit of a clean when arrived as it was very dusty (not sure if it was left for a little while/old soaps) but apart from that it was fantastic. Great location. Views from the outside terrace are stunning. We only really used it as a base but we would definitely come back. Perfect that you have a shaded parking space too! Would highly recommend Melitizia, absolutely stunning food!

We’ve stayed in this area before but throughly enjoyed this apartment..The garden and pool area are of high standard The property itself as more or less all home comforts .. the only thing I can suggest is the Double bed was a little small for us but had other solutions for that and done Champagne glasses would be an added bonus , other than that everything else was perfect really, and hopefully we will be allowed to stay again in the near future...

Lovely apartment. Great location. Able to walk up to village square and various restaurants around
Tala is our favourite area in Cyprus. You can travel to beaches, traditional villages, trodoes mountains, limasoul and various other areas easily within a day with no stress. You do need a car to stay here. Patrik and Rosie apartment is lovely and the people who stay in the other apartments are very friendly. The pool is great for kids as it does not get really deep. The gardens are kept to a very standard and very pleasant to sit it. The traditional bbq was used on various occasions which is what we really enjoy. The one downside is that you have two flights of stairs to climb with heavy suitcases on arrival. The views are lovely especially the sunset. It is also very quiet. Sometimes the only noise you heard was the clock in the kitchen. Church bells on Sunday morning was also great to hear. The square has completely changed since we were last there. I am undecided whether I like it or not. I liked the traditional cypriot square but when you see children playing in the fountain of water that is nice too. We would definitely come back again and stay in this lovely apartment.

Tala Gardens
A bright and comfortable apartment with a large sun terrace. Plainly decorated with everything included that the holidaymaker needs.
A bit of a problem with one of the A/C units but in October this was not a real issue.
Lovely communal gardens and pool. The local residents were all very helpful and accommodating.

Comfortable stay, great location.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It has everything inside you would need to enjoy your stay. The private outside space is pretty large with 2 sun loungers and a table and chairs. The view from here is the communal pool and also the sea.
The pool is large with plenty of sun loungers and parasols around it.
The location is very pretty and about a 2 min drive from Tala village where we found some very good restaurants which are very reasonably priced.
A car is essential.
I would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous!!
Would definitely recommend to anyone. Spotlessly clean everything you need and great access to the area. Lovely restaurants within (steep) walking distance. The terrace has full sun in the afternoon and loungers umbrella table etc. Couldn't fault it. This is the first time we have used Owners Direct and we are already planning our next holiday. Hope the next owners are as lovely as Patrik and Rosie. Can't wait xx

Great apartment - quiet area in well-maitained complex
The apartment was in a quiet area outside Paphos and was well-equipped.
The balcony was large and had the sun for most of the day and evening.
The pool, although shallow, was suitable, clean with plenty of sunbeds.
Restaurants and supermarkets within 15min walk but ideally you need a car to get around and to explore.
The owner's response to contact was excellent, responding quickly

Excellent apartment - excellent location
This is a very good apartment that is well maintained, well equipped and was well cleaned before our arrival. The location is good - although any suggestions of "walking to the village for a meal" should be taken with a pinch of salt unless you enjoy climbing! - there is easy access to both the south coast and up over the hill to the north coast. A car is a necessity. Grounds very well maintained and pool looked very good - although we did not use it as we were in the sea every day. Weather at this time of year, mid October, is perfect with temperatures of 27 - 30 often with a gentle breeze.
Suggest some more detailed instructions on using the TV and its catch up facilities would be beneficial to the not too technically minded like us. All in all a very good holiday and we would not hesitate to recommend the apartment.

Quiet and Peaceful
We spent 10 days in this apartment from the 6th-16th July 2016. It is a lovely apartment and very well equipped. Beds are really comfortable. The balcony overlooks the swimming pool and gardens with stunning views overlooking Paphos and the sea. We spent many evenings at night on the balcony. We chose this apartment because of its location, quiet and just outside the main resorts of Paphos and Coral Bay. Car is advisable if you want to do some touring. The apartment has its own car space which is under cover. Pool area is clean with plenty of sunbeds. Sometimes, we found ourselves the only people at the pool. Most welcoming one afternoon, was the visit of an ice cream van! People we met during our stay were very friendly. WIFI is good which was an important factor for our teenage daughter!
We visited relatives in Larnaca, found some nice restaurants in and around Tala, went to the zoo, cat rescue shelter in Tala, open top bus from Paphos and glass bottom boat. Very busy 10 days but still found time to relax.
We would certainly recommend Tala Gardens.

Christmas in Tala Gardens

Trip to Tala
Thank you Patrik and Rosie for sharing your Tala retreat with us for 10 days. The apartment is very well appointed and the location is ideal with wonderful views especially the fantastic Cyprus sunsets. Eating out in Cyprus is lovely but for future guests, Stamna in Tala or just off Tala Square is excellent. The owner Savvas offers a great menu and welcome (try his pork chops), in fact we went twice. We thought the apartment was really good value and we would recommend.
