Прекрасные хозяева прекрасного отеля!

Впервые жили в гостевом доме, словно в родной семье. Хозяева всегда рядом, при этом совершенно не напрягают. Роскошная отдельно стоящая кухня, на которой проходят чудесные завтраки (также разрешалось пользоваться кухней и в другое время), чудесный кот, очень уютный номер. А какие Дмитрий готовит завтраки! Каждый день что-то новое. Всё безумно вкусно! Расположение супер! У отеля своя калитка прямо в парк, где очень здорово погулять, а вечерами пасутся ослики. Через парк до пляжа минут 5-7 пешком. В город также через парк минут 15.

Great guesthouse directly by Issyk Kul

Guesthouse backs right onto the park and our room had a balcony so the location was great for the lake. The breakfast was very delicious and large.

It's around a 10-15 minute walk to the main road where the majority of shops and restaurants are, which was very dark at night.

Good quiet place to stay on walking distance to the main street

The guesthouse is very quiet, on the very edge of Cholpon-Ata. Parking was possible near the guesthouse. Next to Zaton is the entrance to a beautiful park near the lake. The main street with shops/restaurants is about a 15 minute walk away. We had a room (nr. 4) with a balcony (with bench). Neat clean room, twin beds, airco, with separate bathroom. Good Wi-Fi. Some English was spoken by a younger person. The breakfast, which was well taken care of - very tasty was a large filled wrap - took place in a nice separate building in the garden.

In the area and at the guesthouse itself (it was mid-June and still early season) quite a lot was being built and renovated, which made it noisy during the day. But, it was quiet at night and we slept well.

A charming retreat

Loved Zaton Guesthouse! Ideal spot, just next to a beautiful local park. Rooms had everything we needed and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. A real gem in Cholpon-Ata.

Warm welcome and great stay

Nice clean rooms with comfy beds. A lot of renovation has clearly taken plans and continues to, as they expand. But nothing disturbed us. The lake and beach are just a short 5 minute walk from the Guesthouse. The breakfast was a nice experience, too. We really felt like guests rather than customers. By the way, the pics don't make it clear, but we had the room with one king bed and two twins, and the twins are actually located in a separate bedroom, so the place feels more like an apartment than a hotel room. Highly recommend!

An ideal guesthouse. I got great value for my room, which had a table with bar stools, couch, and best of all a balcony with a mountain view (I believe there is only one such unit). The owner Dmitry was extremely helpful, checking if everything was okay and fixing an issue with my showerhead and arranging an excursion to nearby gorges. Breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared, different each day, and even available earlier than the stated time of 9am based on my daily plans. Be aware that if you speak Russian, Dmitry is very chatty and you might have a very long (and interesting) breakfast!

Fitted sheets over the mattresses would be nice, but that's a small issue.

Top location, large, modern room with good bads Host is very kind, he woke last day early and prepared breakfast at 5:30 as we had to go very early He gave us all information we asked, advices, recommendations…. What to see, where to eat, how to spend time

Only thing i am sorry is i did not have time to spend more time there

I've stayed in Zaton guesthouse for 2 nights and guess it was great choice :)

Dmitriy and Irina are very friendly and nice hosts, helping with different requests. Breakfasts are sooo big, tasty and huge that you won't be hungry till the middle of the day :) A room was clean, spacious and warm (heating by air condition) and has all what you need: kettle, mini fridge, hairdryer , good wifi and sofa. Guesthouse is located in 8 min from bus station and in approx 15 min from the city center

Great host, nice place to stay!

The host made our stay superb! He was very welcoming, greeted us, advised on visiting hot springs nearby (which was a great idea after a long day!). The breakfast was amazing, homemade omelette and cottage cheese, better than at most buffet breakfasts. It was a family-like experience. They also have a sweet cat which always is a bonus.

Better than we expected.

Excellent location, close to the beach and not far from the city center, extremely friendly host, clean and perfectly equipped rooms with refrigerator and water heater. The breakfast was simply delicious.

Great place

The location and facilities were all good. The breakfast was great. The wifi worked well. Previous reviews said there was no bedside table (there is now), and no socket by the bed (there is one. And extension cable was also provided).

The windows didn't open, only the balcony door. There was no way to pin it open, so when it was windy it banged and at other times it creaked. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great.

Pleasant family guesthouse

The room itself was modern comfortable, clean and warm. The property is close to the beach, which was great off-season as we had it completely to ourselves. The owners are very generous and flexible, in terms of dietary requirements / timing for breakfast, etc. They are a very friendly couple that are very hospitable and helpful. For example, finding cheaper and cheaper and cheaper travel options!

Excellent and will recommend to others.

Scrumptious and hefty, prepared by the owners themselves, even made accommodations for my husband who is a vegan. The location was perfect, comfortable distance to walk to town center and to the beach. A bonus was its proximity to the little Zaton Lake, just behind the property. We loved it!

Garbage dumped by holiday visitors along the way made for a very sad sight. Something ought to be done about this, whether it is the peak season like the summer, or not.
