The absolute highlight is the breath-taking view from the balcony over lake Como and the surrounding mountains, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Amazing.
The appartment is big and roomy, for 5 adults and a kid it was spacious. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a living room with a kitchen. It is equiped with a washing machine, a combi-microwave and a dishwasher.
Location is good - 8 mins only to the center & lake - but going back is a climb up the mountain, in a 45º slope. Consider that when coming in the summer.
Also consider the lack of air conditioner! The air is standing... the humidity is unbearable. There are ventilators that help a bit, but an airconditioner would have been nice.
Downsides:
The second floor is an attic, it gets very warm and stuffily. The roof-windows could get in fresh air - but they don't open...! Sleeping upstairs was a nightmare, and the managing company couldn't solve the problem.
The maintenace level is quite low. The cutting board in the kitchen was dirty and scratched. The pool had a moldy frame on its walls. The ventilators were so dirty, they didn't let air through. The mattresses are old & uncomfortable.
And last but not least - don't count on internet! Wifi signal is so weak that even WhatsApp cannot connect. We spent a small fortune on data packages.
Bottom line - so so. We probably won't get back there, next time we'll book somewhere else.

Disappointed-location extremely difficult to get to, getting into the unit was equally difficult, water did not drain in upstairs shower, floors in the bathrooms were dirty, could not get WI-FI info on Internet, building itself needs a good clean and the beds upstairs were extremely uncomfortable -you would think for the price someone would have paid attention to these issues. The only redeeming factor was the view. Sorry to be so harsh but wanted to be honest.

Wonderful Lake Holiday Apartment
Our flat in Residence Eden was simply lovely. The view was tremendous and we enjoyed our outstanding view of the lake. Having two full bathrooms was a treat. Check-in was simple and the lovely touches of a working iron, coffee and breakfast pastry was very nice. We particularly appreciated the pool and fans in every room as the weather was very warm during our stay. Argengno is a LOVELY town, just large enough to merit its own ferry stop but not so large as to be overwhelming. There is parking so driving is easy, but we often preferred to walk to town down the (steep) street directly adjacent to our house that put us right in the main square! I would absolutely recommmend this flat to anyone interested in staying on Lake Como.

The house was excellent. It is situated 4 minutes of walk from the lake, in a quiet neighborhood. I strongly recommend and will definitely come back.

Great location, but needs a few things fixed
Beautiful views, larger apartment than most. We realized going in that there was no Air Conditioning but that during night time hours temperatures dip somewhat at the Lake, and we could open the windows, creating some cross ventillation. In the upstairs part of the apartment, which is more like an attic space, the sky lights would not remain open. They opened by Remote control and 7 to 10 minutes later, would automatically shut. No air at all upstairs and one cannot wake up ever 10 minutes to open the windows (while sleeping). We communicated with the management office, who sent a technician, he disabled the windows so that we could manually open and close them, mentioning that the devices needed to be replaced, things were ok for that night as we kept them open. The next day, upon returning from our day excursion, someone had come back in to re-connect the Sky Lights and we were back to our initial situation of not being able to cool the upstairs bedrooms again. Very disappointing as this never did get resolved. We would not recommend this place because of these issues, temperatures were 33C to 35C during the day and even warmer in that second story space.

Residence Eden Magnolia 17
Fantastic location, apartment had plenty of space. View from balcony was superb (and exactly as shown on website) and there was so much space that we practically lived on our balcony!
Flexible changeover day.
Plenty of crockery in the kitchen.
Swimming pool was fabulous.
Argegno is a lovely village - the ferry boat stops but it is not too busy. We loved the walk down from the apartment so have attached a photo.
It was easy to find the apartment as instructions were very clear - without these we might still be looking for it now!
As we self-catered quite a bit it would have been good to have information about buying food e.g. supermarket in Lenno, fish shop in Argegno. We did find these things eventually but would have been good on day one especially as there are so few shops in Argegno itself.
Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our week on Lake Como and would definitely recommend our holiday to friends.
