We had a wonderful girls weekend, just me and my bestie! The condo was perfect...clean, equipped as promised, private, with a lake and pool view. Great communication, smooth check in and out! Walked to the ice cream place, yum! The pool, hot tub, and fire pit areas were great. People very welcoming and friendly. Great sunset views! Private beach. Would highly recommend this property and condo and would definitely stay there again!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The view from this condo is amazing! It was the perfect place to relax!

Simple, clean and cozy. I was a bit surprised that it was on the third floor, but the view was worth climbing the steps. For being in busy Port Clinton, the pool and beach area was so quiet and private. I loved being able to be at the pool, but still hear the waves and watch the sunset. This is really a gem! The grounds are stunning and the staff were constantly cleaning, gardening and smiling. Lots of good food and activities near by.

It's ok for the price and proximity to the ferry. Spacious kitchen and living room. Feel safe that there's like a guard house. Place is quiet. Ample parking space. Nice balcony. Near the beach. Had an issue with the heater and somebody came in less than 10 min. Housekeeping needs to do better. Dirty dishes in the cabinet. Somebody put it there without checking. Linen closet needs tidying and hardly any linen, just comforters. Didn't bother to ask as we were staying only for 1 night. Good thing we brought extra bedsheets for the futon. No elevator and there are 3 floors. TV Remote & cable not working. Overall a 4 star. Disappointed with Put-in-bay though.

The construction on the condo next to us was awful! Dust everywhere, we could not enjoy the balcony. Very very noisy. The condo itself was fine, I had to clean it before unpacking or cooking.

The condo was just as listed! The community was very nice and close to everything!

The condo is ideal for a quick getaway. It had everything we needed and did not have to do much else but relax. The owners were very proactive with their communication and everything was easy to do. The AC unit is noisy at night but that is primarily due to its location in the bedroom. The traffic was a bit noisy while sitting on the patio but we just tuned it out. There is a nice view of the lake, and pool area. The complex itself is nice and well maintained. We liked watching the sunsets from the deck and sitting by the fire pit.

Great facility! Sensational outdoor space!
Condo was clean and well-maintained. Steps were a bit of a chore for older folks, but nothing we couldn't manage. The pool and lakeside area were the best we've ever experienced. Overall a beautiful place to stay!

As Described
Condo is located up a couple flights of stairs from the carport. Staircase lighting did not come on until well after dusk, making trips up the stairs (after watching the beautiful sunsets) dicey. Unit lacks central air conditioning but is adequately cooled by a wall unit in the bedroom and several available fans in the unit. Kitchen was well equipped and functional, but kitchen and bathroom were not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. Dryer was handy for drying beach gear after using the pool. There is very minimal beach on-site but the pool area and deck are very nice. The mattress in the bedroom is very soft (I believe this was noted in other reviews) and would be uncomfortable for those preferring a firm or very firm mattress. Bathroom supplies were limited to towels and linens, extra toilet paper and a bottle of body wash. Overall experience was very good, but not exceptional.

Was not right for us
While this property might be good for younger people, as people in our seventies with mobility issues, the three flights of stairs to the condo were very challenging. Also, in large print, the description said it was air conditioned, but as we found out after arrival and reading the small print in the body of the email, there was only a window air conditioner in the bedroom. If you want any kind of air in the rest of the condo, you have to put a fan in the doorway of the bedroom to blow air out into the living area. It was in the 90's while we were there and the air hadn't been turned on prior to our arrival, so it was extremely hot. Also, the fan needed cleaned very badly.
The bathroom was probably our worst issue. The commode was very difficult to flush. We had to take the lid off and lift up on the handle because it was very hard to flush and we were afraid we were going to break it. There were brown spots on the throw rug in the bathroom. It was either mud or feces. I don't know which, but it should have been cleaned before our arrival.
The tvs are very small by today's standards. They're flat screens, but very small. We didn't watch them because of how small they were. We left after one night and to the owner's credit, we were offered a replacement night in the Fall as compensation, but we just couldn't navigate all those stairs again so we declined. VRBO did refund one night's payment back to us, which they didn't have to do, so we are grateful.
In short, this place would be okay for young couples who have no mobility issues and if traveling in any season except summer.

Nice complex
Great views of the sunset from the shared common areas near pool. This particular unit is on the second floor, with a couple sets of steps to climb. Condo is nice, well stocked. Owner very on top of making sure the stay is a good one. Our only downside was I did not realize the AC was a wall unit in the bedroom. It is quite loud. Also there are railroad tracks close and whistle blows during the night often. We ended up using pull out couch (not as comfortable as the bed), and fans to sleep at night. The condo is located in a good area and close to lots of great places to eat. If we hadn't needed AC, (90 degrees during our stay) the place would have been wonderful.

Great Location, Nice property, Noisy Airconditioner
The location was great. The property was clean and the view from the balcony was awesome. However, we had trouble sleeping in the bedroom due to the unbearably noisy airconditioner. I had to rate this property at a 3 due to the noisy airconditioner that ruined our vacation. I won't book this property again.

Great Getaway
The property was advertised accurately. We enjoyed our stay. Coffee on the balcony with the view of Lake Erie was a delight. The bed could use an updated mattress and the bedroom needs blinds or something to block out the light.

Annual Get away
Perfect location! The resort is so well kept and very nice. Our condo had great views of Lake Erie. Our condo was nice and clean . The pull out mattress needs replaced . It did get a little warm in the kitchen/ living room with the air conditioner in the bed room . This was our second year staying here, would definitely rent again.

Good View of the lake!
Nice condo as advertised. Very nice pool area and small beach. Very nice except for the 32 stairs- wish had an elevator for old knees, but we worked it out. Owner very responsive. Very nice view of the lake.

Me and my husband wanted to go somewhere to escape and celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was the perfect little cozy place right on the lake. Can’t wait to come back in the summer when it’s warm out!

What a fantastic property. We felt like we were at a resort And, the Lake View!!!!
I don’t even know where to begin. Our unit was so comfortable and clean and was very welcoming. The host was amazing to deal with and all of the amenities you could need in the unit were available. The furniture choices made you feel like you were home and the bed was very comfortable. We sat on the balcony the majority of the time appreciating the view of Lake Erie and the wonderful amenities the Shores offers. We didn’t participate in them, but there were many evening fires to be had in the courtyard area in the evening. The pool and the grounds staff were awesome and everything was very clean and it felt like you were staying in a resort. Our parking area was clean and private and it was nice that you could move your car over by the pool and get ice and take your trash out. The complex is very well thought out. We were able to do all of our laundry the day we last, having an in suite laundry was an added plus. We have already booked our next stay at the end of November

Nice getaway.
The unit was nice with a very nice view of the lake. The stairs were a bit problematic. 32 steps up to the unit was difficult with luggage etc. the bathroom is a work of art with hand painted seashore scene.

Perfect Getaway
We came to town for a fishing charter, so I was looking for a place to stay that had a refrigerator for our catch. Beyond having the refrigerator that we needed, we felt like we were home for the weekend. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the place was cleaned thoroughly before we came. Our first evening here we used the community charcoal grills to cook burgers, and the second night had a fish fry using the condos kitchen. My favorite part of all is the balcony. Its the perfect spot to sit and have your morning coffee overlooking the lake. We're already planning our next visit!

Would stay here again
Be careful where you park. I had someone back into my brand new truck and didn’t leave a note. Took me 12 hrs to figure out who it was and now police and insurance are dealing with it.

Thumbs up
It is exactly as advertised. We were there in the winter, so there wasn't much to do, which is exactly what we wanted!
We'll be back.

We went here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. It was a wonderful escape and place to recharge. The balcony, pool, hot tub, and scenic deck all had great views. Everyone in sight was friendly and we would definitely go back!

Family getaway
I have stayed at The Shores countless times and this was one of the nicest units I have ever stayed in. The unit is very clean and updated and truly feels like someone’s home, not just a rental unit. Jeff was so easy to communicate with and made our stay easy and stress free. Cannot wait to come back!

Relaxing Easy Getaway
The condo was spacious, clean, and well kept. The venue was beautiful and the view from the room was spectacular! We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub that sit directly beside the lake. Communication with the owner was top notch and he truly cared about us having a great time. I am a triathlete and was able to get in a couple open water swims, a bike ride (beautiful 25 mile loop around the island) and run starting right at the condo. It was a great week and my family (3 of us including a 5yo.) would stay again in a heartbeat.
