Really well-thought out design and furnishings. In need of just a few minor maintenance points though; septic needs pumping and one bed had a broken slat making it difficult to sleep on.
Great communication from the manager. We knew exactly what was to be provided and what we needed to bring. Directions to find the house were great. Clean property. Overall, 4.5 Stars!

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin, celebrating my 50th birthday with friends and family. The traditional log cabin look and feel was what I envisioned and it delivered just that. The secluded location was perfect because we didn’t worry about neighbors complaining of any noise. We played games, went snow tubing, fired up tne fire pit, made smores, etc. The game room was a hit, especially the pool table.
When we arrived the propane tank was empty, however we called the number for maintenance and they came within a couple of hours after arrival with a new tank. Parking was tight, considering I had a large group. I would recommend carpooling as much as possible.
The area gets extremely dark and the road to get to property is a little tricky, so be careful.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this property. My friends are ready to book this cabin again.

Pros:
Secluded and Cozy: We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded location of the cabin. It provided a cozy and intimate environment, perfect for our Christmas vacation.
Unique Bathroom Features: The primary suite's bathroom, with its stone wall and shower head above the jacuzzi tub, was a highlight.
New Hot Tub: comfortably fits five people.
Responsive Maintenance: Issues we encountered were swiftly addressed, often within four hours, which was impressive.
Cons:
Bathroom Privacy: The primary suite's bathroom needs blinds or a curtain for the shower/tub window for added privacy.
Shower Protection Recommendation: Installing a shower curtain around the tub would help in protecting the surrounding woodwork.
Dusting Needed: Certain areas, like the top of the ceiling fan and under the triangle window, were noticeably dusty and need more regular cleaning.
Washing Machine Instructions: Clear instructions for the washing machine would be helpful, as we struggled with getting clothes sufficiently rung out.
Hot Tub Warning: The hot tub, although a new and enjoyable feature, caused skin irritation and damaged clothing. Avoid using clothes you wish to keep when using the hot tub. We also experienced illness after using it, which dampened our Christmas spirit.
Overall Recommendation:
Despite the issues mentioned, our stay was largely enjoyable. With a few improvements, this cabin could offer a perfect holiday retreat. Would recommend with the above caveats.

We have a pleasant stay at the property. Couple of small things to be rectified. Bathroom locks, door lock towards deck to be fixed. Lenis to be cleaned thoroughly

We had an amazing time staying in the cabin. The house was the perfect size for our group and everyone slept comfortably! The owners were super communicative the entire time and answered any and all questions we had. The oven doesn’t work super well but other than that everything was perfect!

while the property itself was large and spacious with a unique and great "cabin feel" getaway, it was one of the dirtiest places we have ever stayed. the kitchen counters were "black" when wiped, the coffee machine was covered in coffee grounds and also stuck to the counter with a black film all around the counter underneath it when moved (brought our own thank god so we didnt have to use that grimy machine) the bar countertop (1st level) had thick sticky residue and had not been wiped down prior to our arrival, the floors were filthy and left our feet/socks black, leather sofa had holes and needed replacement along with the rugs being covered in stains. The hot tub did not get hot at all (80 degrees top temperature) and the jets were not functioning correctly, so we couldn't use it at all which caused our entire party great disappointment since that was one of the best amenities were were looking forward to utilizing. The downstairs fireplace would not shut off and got extremely hot in that area, the deck was covered in so many large piles of leaves and scattered among the entire deck that obviously hadn't been cleared off in quite a ling time, the slot machine was inoperable (maybe it was meant just for show) but we were disappointed it couldnt be used. The master bedroom had NO DRESSERS so we had to keep our clothes in our suitcase the entire stay. The master bathroom had the oddest "shower" as it was a garden tub with only a shower head above to be used as a shower. It is right in front of the window which had no blinds or covering for privacy. Owner should lake a little more pride in its overall upkeep. We paid over $10,000 for a 4 night stay - while we enjoyed the stay overall, (mainly because we were there with a large family group and enjoyed each others company) we were very disappointed in all the things listed above and felt it was overpriced as such

the house and property were solid. it was basically what we expected and overall im pretty happy, but for the sake of transparency ill mention some things that could be improved and some stuff that was nice.
The mgmt company were kind enough to let us check in early and they got the poker table all set for us which was nice and appreciated.
I would mention the wifi and ac were pretty meh. the house had a bunch of individual AC units, but they couldnt quite keep up. it wasnt a big deal as the weather was not too hot other than 1 day. the wifi "worked" but it was very slow for everyone and sometimes wouldnt load at all. the firewood guys that were posted on the house never showed up or called back after saying they would deliver on our first night. the propane that was attached to the grill was completely empty. there was a second tank but it only gave us an hour or 2 of grill time before we needed to go get a replacement. like i said overall none of this was really a big a deal, just some mild stuff that could be improved.

There was plenty of room for all of our guests. We spent a lot of time down at the river which was a short scramble from the backyard.
Being able to have hiking trails so close was also such great plus. The basement was a great hangout spot at nighttime. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future stays!
4.8
This was exactly what we expected. A great cabin in a great location! Everything was very clean and the basement/game area was a blast! The only improvement that could be made was that the AC in one of the top bedrooms wasn’t working too well. Great experience otherwise!

Bachelor Party
This was a great house for a bachelor party. Plenty of comfortable sleeping. Secluded from other people. Nice hot tub and deck. Awesome game room. The kitchen was barebones, so don't expect to be doing any 5 star meals. There was a brand new nice grill, though and full grilling amenities.
4.8
Everything was exactly like the pictures! I would 100% recommend. We had a great time!

We paid quite a bit of money for the stay, the photos did not look like what we saw online. The accommodations were not as stated online. The bathrooms and the kitchen was filthy. The oven on the stove didn’t work imagine trying to serve 15 people dinner without the oven
One of the TVs did not work we got accused of losing the remote, one of the fireplaces and the grill did not work
Bathrooms dirty
We will never go back to river rd

Fall Family Getaway
We were four families with young kids who needed a quick three night trip during Fall break. The house was great for group - the large kitchen and downstairs game room gave us a lot of space to spread out and enjoy ourselves.
The firepit was great for smores and the kids loved playing in the woods and building fairy houses. The Leigh Gorge trail is a accessible through the woods in the back of the house and was a beautiful walk along the river.
One thing to note is the Wi-Fi is pretty rough, so difficult to stream Netflix or work remotely, but no big deal if you bring DVDs or are ready to really unplug.
The water situation was a little rough, the sink kept backing up even though we were scraping plates (no disposal) and the showers went back and forth from freezing to burning. Nothing that would stop us from coming back again though. We had a wonderful time at this house!
4.8
Good for bachelor parties
Had about 15 guys for a bachelor party, house was a good size and as advertised. Secluded and spacious.
4.8
Not completely what we expected
House was dirtier than we would have expected. House is advertised as "Air conditioned" but the main game room has no air conditioning- the window screens have holes it so when the windows were opened bugs would come in too. Good space for a group of guys to spend out in the woods but those few things made us feel like it was a bummer with the amount of money we spent.
4.8
Great location, great space, clean and respectful management.

Great stay
Everything was great.
4.8
Pros: Close proximity to trails/hiking, boating, convenience stores. House had plenty of space for 6 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs. Secluded/quiet location. Hot tub. Propane grill. Two fridge/freezer combos. Decent space for meal prep.
Cons: Lack of central A/C. No cooling unit (window or otherwise) in basement. Basement shower did not work, despite informing the owner/management on multiple occasions. Trash was left in and around the fire pit. One of the sliding doors leading to the deck on the second floor did not have a functioning lock.
Overall, a decent experience with the home and great experience in the area. The pool amount of open space, sleeping accommodations, and location made it worth it.

We showed up to check in at our normal day/time and never received any check info, got to the property door was open and the house was a complete wreck! They had "forgot" about our reservation and it looked like a bachelorette party must have just left. The house was a complete disaster and the property manager was very nonchalant about it! They had us sitting there waiting for over an hour with no answers until we finally decided to find another property and they gave us a refund! It was a horrible start to our vacation.

Great stay
We had a great time at the house. Thank you!

Excellent stay
Amazing stay! Super easy check-in, easy communication, clean home and there were plenty of beds for our trip. Not too many houses near by which was great for privacy. The host was very helpful.

Perfect Place!
It was great! Our group loved it and everyone agreed that the house was a perfect fit. Secluded, great amount of space outside in the front for games and the porch out back was perfect for grilling and hanging out. The house was in great condition and the pictures and descriptions accurately reflected the property. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future!

Great Stay for a Fun Weekend
The basement with the pool table and shuffleboard is great fun. Hot tub worked well, just took a bit of time to heat up (needs turning up on arrival). Great place to escape with friends

We had a blast but the house was pretty dirty. The hot tub was a plus!
