Newly decorated in modern style within a historic building, right on the town square. Quiet room. Friendly staff
Nothing was wrong, but in house breakfast would’ve been nice

Fantastic room, with fridge all stocked up, silent airco, great bathroom, view on the town square.
Staff helpful and friendly. The parking functions as a valet parking, but all good.
Right at he zocalo, great location.
Popo was a little active when we visited Atlixco, so there was ash outside. Hence the rooftop was closed (which was a correct decision by the way).

It is a lovely hotel, and the staff are kind and helpful, to a point. The place is quiet, the shower is spacious, the AC functional, and it is extremely well situated, walking distance to most everything. The hand soap was marvelous! The terrace is marvelous, unfortunately, we were the only room without an umbrella so we could not enjoy it as much as we may have liked.
The soaps, shampoo, conditioner and cream in the shower and bathroom are terrible and not up to standard.
The queen size bed is humped, low on each side, with a high point in the middle...my partner slept on the floor the last night, fortunately, the duvet is comfortable.
I particularly did not enjoy the administrative chaos caused when I extended for an additional night via Booking.com. Apparently there was an error in the way it was accepted by the hotel and I was again charged over 4600 pesos, then another 1600 pesos, and then over 356,000 pesos! I had to cancel my credit card to stop the fraudulent charges. All this despite my offer to pay directly at the hotel via credit card or bank transfer. It is an unforgiveable error, especially when after been charged over 16550 pesos, they called at 22h00 to ask me to come down to pay an additional charge!! i stated i would be down at 09h00, and prior to my arrival, they had already authorised the exhorbitant charges to my card. As I understand it, Booking.com cannot effect a charge without the validation from the hotel ... end result is the bank denied all charges that did not reflect my 3 night stay, and cancelled my card to issue me another platinum preferential client card.
They fortunately have an elevator as I am partially handicapped due to an accident. It is, nevertheless, sensitive as it is more of a construction lift than an elevator as one would imagine in a highrise, so be prepared to learn how to better use it, or use the stairs.

Wish they had a small pool and to use the hot tub there shouldn't be a charge . They should have a mini restaurant somewhere inside the hotel just in case the guest don't want to go out

It's hard to strike the right balance between ancient and modern, but Casa de la Audiencia accomplishes it with style. It's in the oldest civic building (i.e. non-church) in Atlixco, 16th-century, and incorporates much of the core structure while keeping the flavour very contemporary. Decor and cleanliness are immaculate; our suite was spacious and well-appointed. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the price, though a bit of a splurge, was entirely reasonable. Wi-fi is lightning-fast and stable. The location couldn't be more central: you're right on the edge of the Zocalo (central plaza) with all its action and street life. Atlixco is a delightful town, very colourful and culturally rich, with the Popocatepetl volcano looming above. For breakfast, I recommend the Azteca cafe/restaurant, out the front door and to your right, which does very elegant and economical combos.
Being at the centre of the action means that there's a fair amount of plaza hum and bustle, some of which will penetrate the walls, especially on weekends. Our air-conditioning was efficient but rattly-sounding; this was a quirk of the particular room, I think, and maybe fixed by the time you arrive; in general the facilities and amenities are excellent.

This hotel is at a perfect location in Atlixco, Puebla for tourists. The restaurants, the daily market and the night spectacular are right around the corner. The customer service was promptly and i truly felicitated the doormen gentlemen , especially the two night shift gentlemen. They were always ready to facilitate a parking spot, they helped us carrying our baggages to our door especially we had our two kids . The two night shift gentlemen educated us about the facility. For instance , we didn't know the facily had a roof top , and we were able to enjoy the beautiful view at night. My wife requested the iron and the ironing board, and in quick seconds , one of the door gentlemen was on our door with them. They were always promptly with the elevator. In addition , the two night shift gentlemen were bilingual , which was a huge help. They spoke our language, American English and they were able to translate to the front desk for us. It was very hard to find English speakers in Atlixco, Puebla in most places. The daily cleaning ladies were the best , they went above and beyond on making sure our room was always cleaned and our fridge was stocked with water , juices, snaks for the kids.
The facility was very clean, the room was modern,
spacious and sound proof. The two beds were super comfortable , the shower was spacious and excellent water shower pressure, my wife and kids enjoyed the hot water very much. This hotel is rated a 5 star.
No complaints to the service. The doormen , especially the two night shift gentlemen. The room cleaning ladies and the front desk transformed this hotel to a 5 star facility.
