The House Under the Olive Trees is in a good location. The Crai supermarket and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The beaches near Chia are 20-25 min away by car. The patio is shaded and is a perfect place for relaxing after an afternoon at the beach and barbequing. The WiFi is good and reliable. The kitchen is well equipped.

Very kind and helpful host, Grazie mille Marina.
All, accommodation, facilities, location quiet but near to city and supermarket, couldn’t be better.

Really nice place to spend a vacation!
Lovingly decorated and providing everything needed. Loved the garden(s) and the fireplace(s). A small drawback was the nearby street which provided for some background noises now and then... Pula and above all the surrounding south-western part of Sardegnia are beautiful. Wild and almost empty of humans, one can enjoy hours of hikings.
Mille grazie, Marina.

The perfect home from home under the olive trees
We spent the first two weeks in September at this wonderful place. Everything was perfect, from the quaint romantic main bedroom to the small but well equipped kitchen. Marina has decorated the spotless little house with care and excellent taste so it feels more like a well-loved home than a rental property.
Marina was so kind and welcoming – when she realised we were interested in seeing more of the area she brought further information of things to do and provided her own recommendations as well. She also lent us a beach umbrella so we didn’t have to buy our own.
One of the best aspects of the house was the outside space – the colourful gardens, patio area, Boules court and BBQ. It gave us flexibility so we didn’t need to go out to eat every night and some of our favourite evenings were spent relaxing outside, cooking , listening to music and playing cards – the delicious Sardinian wine also helped! There were some midges about so do pack an insect repellent spray.
There is a large Crai supermarket a 5 minute walk back towards the town – with fresh bread, fish and meat counters, deli , fresh vegetables and frozen food, wines, beers etc. which was really convenient and it stayed open every day until late.
Pula town centre is a 15 minute walk along pavements and has a lively pedestrianised main square with lots of shops, restaurants and café-bars – so a good amount of meal options and great for pre-dinner Aperol Spritz and people watching.
We would recommend having a rental car – we can’t comment on the local transport system but for us being able to travel further afield and see more of the south coast was a real bonus. Cagliari is well worth a day trip and in the opposite direction a couple of hours drive away the island of Sant Antioco was lovely too.
The most famous beaches of Chia were nearby - beautiful however busy - Italian school children don’t go back until the third week in September - the beaches were less crowded in the second week. Nora beach may not be quite as spectacular but was very local and a little more chilled out plus you have the archaeological site at Nora as well, and definitely worth a visit.
This was our third visit to Sardinia but our first in the south of the island and Homeaway rental. We had a fantastic time and would love to go back to the house under the olive trees – Marina was the perfect host and we highly recommend this property.

Super vacanza

Amazing second stay in Marinas house
As 2 years ago, we spent 2 wonderful weeks in Marinas house in Pula. The house is super cosy, very clean and super equiped. The big garden, full of olive trees, trees and plants, invites to stay outside. Marina - mille grazie once again! We will surely come again.

Welcoming, private and relaxing
We had such a lovely week in Marina's house. It was so comfortable with lots of personal touches that made it feel like your own holiday home. We loved the garden and terrace in particular with its barbecue, and had lots of meals out there. The house was spotlessly clean and Marina was incredibly helpful and kind, with lots of recommendations of where to go when we arrived. The location was also perfect, a 15 min walk (or v quick drive) gets you to central Pula and all is restaurants and bars but the house still feels like it's out of town - peaceful and quiet. All the beautiful beaches of Chia are also only a 20 min drive away. Thank you Marina, we will be coming back! :)

Beautiful little house/garden
This is our first time to Sardinia and won't be our last for sure!!! Marina's beautiful house was perfect for us (family of three) = the house//host/location etc... everything you would wish for a great holiday.
Marina was very responsive/helpful/friendly for all my enquiries from the very beginning of booking till the time of departure. Once you are warmly welcomed by her and step into her beautiful house, you will instantly know that you have definitely made a right decision!!
The house has everything you need for a beach holiday.
We were also very lucky as a brand new supermarket (Crai) has opened just around the corner 2 days before we arrived!! It was very handy indeed. They are open til late even on Sundays!
We enjoyed BBQ with Sardinian wine and beer almost every dinner!!! Marina kindly booked a restaurant called Su Furriadroxu for us one evening and we had a great meal there too. Friday evening in Pula town was very lively!! The town only wakes up after 8pm!
Our favourite beach was Su Giudeu (less than 25mins drive) .
Amazing crystal clear water/white sand. You can see lots of small fish swimming around! It was simply stunning! It was a true paradise.
I will highly recommend to stay Marina's beautiful house if you are looking for a quiet/relaxing/beautiful yet very convenient place to stay. We wish we had booked one more week.. We will definitely be back very near future...
Thank you Marina for the lovely week...

Highly Recommend - Especially for Families
Marina’s house was all that we expected and then some. Great for our family of 5 (3 children under 8). Close proximity to all the great beaches and Pula town center, yet far enough to be secluded and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a true Sardinian experience.

Bequemes Sofa, gutes Licht, Geschirr in vielen Variationen.

A house as delightful as the pictured arbour suggests, secluded, tasteful and everything you need.
Although in the vicinity of busy roads, and (advantageously) only a short walk from Pula town centre, the property, with its adjacent olive grove and surrounded by varied and colourful shrubs and flowers, and with fine mountain views, provides relaxation and seclusion. The interior is embellished with Marina’s rich collection of pottery, copper etc, and is more fully provisioned in the practical sense than one usually finds. I cannot speak too highly of Marina’s generosity and helpfulness; she attended to our every need — before we arrived (eg beach towels), and when necessary during our stay. There are lots of useful booklets, pamphlets and maps with information about the surrounding area — scenic spots, shops, restaurants, beaches. The best beaches in our opinion are about 25 minutes’ drive away in Chia, but Nora is much closer, and that also has a wonderful archeological site. The restaurant we liked most is Zia Leunora in Via Trieste — superb fish dishes. We had only three reservations: there aren’t any obvious pathways for rural walking in the immediate vicinity; the second bedroom has only bunk beds for children, though I found it perfectly usable; and mosquitoes were quite prevalent (probably due mainly to its being a September stay, with a lot of rain at night, more than usual someone told us, and nets are set up on all the beds). None of these factors significantly marred a lovely week’s holiday, and we would certainly return for another one.

I booked this for a weeks holiday in March with my husband and 20 month old daughter. Marina was super helpful with answering questions before we arrived at the property and provided a lovely cot with bedding, highchair and pushchair for the baby. She kindly met me at the bus stop too and showed me around the house. There was plenty of firewood to use in the open fire, which we needed in the evenings as it was cool at this time of year. The air conditioning was also great for warming the bedrooms. The house is in the grounds of her mothers house and is very spacious and well stocked with kitchen utensils and furniture etc. It had a very homely feel. The garden is beautiful too, and the olive grove was full of flowers. My daughter loved the outdoor space and was well occupied with the trees, bird bath and meadow! But it was a bit too cold to take advantage of the patio area for the evenings! The location was also good, close enough to Pula to walk to the shopping or restaurants. Also easy to find from the main road from Cagliari and the airport. We were able to drive to the beach at Chia in just 15 minutes too.If we come back to Sardinia we would definitely stay here again.

Clean, quiet, convenient, and comfortable
Located an easy drive just less than 30 Km from the Elmas Airport, and pleasantly situated behind white plastered walls and an electric gate, this charming little house is as just as described. The location is convenient to Cagliari, Pula, Nora, great local beaches, and within an hours drive of Sulcis National Forest, and the enchanting Grotte Is Zuddas.
Marina is a wonderful host who will greet you and help you settle in nicely.
A nicely sized master bedroom, a second bedroom with bunk beds, a kitchen adequate to prepare good meals, and a comfortable living space await. The vine covered pergola and patio with outdoor oven (olive wood provided for fuel) was very pleasant in the evening. Information in the form of pamphlets, maps, and cards from local recommended businesses are available at the house. There is a nice local market in Pula, just down the road.
A lovely quiet rural setting, white washed walls and terracotta tiled roofs, cactus and olive trees, close to everything, and pleasant people. It is my pleasure to unreservedly recommend this "Dream house under the olive trees."
Ciao!

Fabulous little house
We stayed here for 5 nights, a lovely house in tranquil surroundings but only a 15minute walk into town. It was really well equipped and the BBQ was fantastic. Marina was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend. Oh and thank you for the delicious cakes!!!!
