Great location. House was perfect

Our family of four enjoyed this house very much for a ski weekend at Pleasant Mountain. The house was very clean. It was just enough space for our family. The kids liked the pullout bed. It was a quick beautiful drive to ski - about 15 minutes.

This house was located so we could be a couple of hours away from all the sites we wanted to visit. It is located close to many beautiful lakes and scenic drives. Towns are close for good food and local atmosphere and we got there in time to catch some of the shops before they closed for the winter season.

needs furniture to be dusted - bedroom end tables & tops of dressers. Carpet in mbr needs a better vacuuming, a good cleaning or to be replaced - looks not vacuumed at all. Light bulb out in kitchen Island pendant. Wood Edging of kitchen island off & laying on kitchen floor beneath the island stools. NO tea kettle. Only two full sets of towels (for a location that sleeps four people) & two large striped bath towels???? BUT tons of xtra sheets/pillows & blankets?? Just doesn’t make sense. No hand towel in 1/2 bath. Either take down or put a battery into clock in full bath. Disappointed compared to 2 years ago

Up in Maine for my sons graduation from Bridgton Academy. Five minutes up the road - perfect location. Drove the area and we were close to Hawk Mountain and town amenities. Clean house and we loved the small screen porch. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved the overall ambience & layout. Very convenient for our visit to attend my niece’s wedding. The reason for a 4 & not a 5 was there were no Kleenex boxes that we could find in either bathroom or elsewhere & we couldn’t get the ceiling fan & light in the living room to work. But otherwise it was a great place to stay for our trip!!

The house was spotless when we arrived. The property manager did an excellent job of providing information for getting into the property - codes, etc. The rooms were very cozy. The house is within easy driving distance of the downtown and hiking at Lake Sebago. It was a perfect Fall getaway for our family.

Our stay at Brown Moose Acres was just what we were looking for. The property was very clean which is a top priority for me. The 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath set up was ideal for my husband , myself, and our grown son. There are a few things I will mention that may prove helpful to future guests. From the description of the house being on 100 acres I was expecting the house to be surrounded by lots of land. The driveway is directly off a main road and therefore there is traffic, although not a lot. The speed limit on that road is maybe 50 mph? (Can't remember for sure) That being said the front bedroom which is not the master, faces the front of the house so there is road noise. Maybe that is why that bedroom has a table top fan in it? Both bedrooms have very soft beds. Both bedrooms have windows and only blinds, no curtains. Since we were there in June the sun was up early and lots of daylight came into both bedrooms by about 5:00 AM. We also had 2 types of weather while we were there. We needed both the heat and the AC and the operating controls were a challenge. An explanation of how to operate the controls would be helpful. The TV service is YouTube TV which was fine for us because that's what we use at our home. However, guests not familiar with how YouTubeTV works may struggle. Some information on how to use it would be helpful. We did not use the firepit but there is one in the backyard. Again, having been there in June it is not surprising that my son got a tick on him as we were walking around the yard to see the back of the house. We didn't venture out there again. I hope our experience is helpful to other guests considering this property. The points I mentioned are minor and are just for informational purposes. I would absolutely stay at Brown Moose Acres again.

Just as advertised and allowed us the rest and retreat we had hoped for.

Clean and comfortable!
We really enjoyed our stay at this rental home. The property was private, clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The only downside was the WiFi connection, or lack there of, and absolutely no cell phone service (we use AT&T) at the house. We attempted to reach out to the property manager on day 2 of our stay to ask about the WiFi but did not receive a response. Regardless, the WiFi appeared to work slightly better on the second night and it wasn’t a huge deal overall.

Thanksgiving in Maine
We rented this to be with our daughter that lives in Otisfield. It was about a 15-20 minute ride. Unless GPS takes you to China. It was about a 45 minute ride in complete darkness.
Sunday we went for the train ride in North Conway NH. Nice family outing.
Sorry we had to leave.
We followed the snow storm till we got to Nj then it rained.
Was so glad to get hone out if the mess

Great Stay
We were attending a wedding in Otisfield Maine and this location was a great base for the weekend. The house is spotless and well-equipped with almost everything you could want. We appreciated the great internet and modern ocnveniences. We would have rated it five stars if if it weren't for the extremely soft mattress on the master bed; we kept rolling to the center. We also could not locate a "house notebook" with helpful information about the area, check out procedures, and important phone numbers. All in all, a good value!

Peep During Peak
My friend and I stayed Oct 11-18, 2019. We had a FABULOUS vacation. Our goal was to be able to visit Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont so the location of this rental was ideal. Being a new construction we knew the house would be in great condition. It’s nicely furnished with lots of space for our stuff. We are seniors so it was nice to have the bunk beds separated at my request before we arrived. We didn’t do any complicated cooking, but the supply of cooking utensils seemed ample. We liked the size of the house, the layout, and furniture. Bridgton is a nice little village. We especially loved browsing through the varied and unique items at the bookstore and lunch at Beths Kitchen Café (bakery). The weather was kind at Bridgton even though Portland, Maine was without electricity for a while. We lucked out with both Maine and New Hampshire being in peak foliage season; however, Vermont seemed to be post peak.

Can’t wait to go back!
We could not have stayed at a more beautiful location for our first experience using a private home during our recent vacation.
The house was extremely comfortable located in a rural area surrounded by woods.
The interior was beautifully furnished and decorated to match the Brown Moose theme, meticulously clean, well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed along with high end appliances that came in handy.
Outside was a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and fire wood ready to go as well as a screened in porch facing the sunrise where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning.
We will absolutely return next year!
