About this house rental
This open concept, recently renovated summer home is on a one acre woodsy property. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a queen size inflatable mattress that can be used in the living room. It has a full kitchen, with gas stove, full size refrigerator, dishwasher and stocked with all of your cooking needs (dining ware, pans, coffee maker, and utensils). Large cathedral ceilings with skylights will make for your perfect dining experience. At the end of your long beach day you can choose to enjoy the large outdoor shower or have a bath in the indoor bathroom. There is a large covered porch off of the dining room, which is great for evening entertaining and relaxing.
Amenities Include: beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, propane grill, flat screen smart-TV with cable, WIFI internet, boogie boards and beach toys, and a large private driveway for parking.

This is an adorable house nestled in a very quiet neighborhood with a short walk into town. Sitting on the porch was the perfect spot to enjoy the sounds of nature while eating our meals, meditating or doing yoga.
Kathleen quickly attended to our needs and responded to our questions we had though-out our stay.
The kitchen had quality pots and pans with cooking and eating utensils. The dishwasher, washer and drier were in great working condition. There were plenty of linens and towels,
We highly recommend renting this house.

Nice place for quiet getaway. It was just me so this was all I needed. Loved the porch. And the wild turkey families are fun to watch. Short bike ride to a small town beach good for a quick dip. Other beaches are a drive or longish bike ride. Appreciated the beach gear provided.

Fantastic Getaway!
We had a great time at this newly renovated home on MV. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Very tidy and lovely home equipped with everything you need, even AC. A comfortable bed, a small but nice bathroom and a big kitchen with all the amenities. The neighborhood is very conveniently located about 1 mile from the center of Vineyard Haven. We didn't want to leave!

Wonderful visit!
We really enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s home! It is incredibly clean and well stocked with everything you’d need. My husband and our toddler twins were very comfortable and Kathy was very communicative. There is a great, small beach down the street off Owen Little Way and I’d highly recommend the short drive to Lake Tashmoo beach, but be aware that it is a bumpy dirt road, well worth it though!

Perfect for a couple or small family!
The property was everything it was advertised to be. The home is located on a quiet street in Tisbury (Vineyard Haven) that makes it ideal for unwinding after a long day's worth of activities. We even had Turkey and other wildlife stroll through occasionally.
Kathleen does an amazing job of providing every amenity you could reasonably ask for, right down to laundry detergent! The house is perfectly sized for a couple or smaller family and feels very "homey" and inviting.
Kathleen was extremely responsive when we had questions and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time at her place.
Highly recommended and we look forward to booking with her again in the future!

Anniversary vacation
My husband and I really enjoyed Grace Haven. It is centrally located. About 1 mile to Main Street and the ferry to Woods Hole. It is a quiet neighborhood. It has alot of necessities like paper towels, tissues, trash bags, dish and dishwasher detergent, spices and coffee 😊 My husband and I loved the covered deck and the grill worked well 🥰 Thank you to Kathleen and her husband.

Perfect for Couples
My boyfriend and I stayed here for Labor Day week. It is a perfect house for couples looking to get away for some quiet time. The house is very clean and well maintained. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood far enough away from the bustle of downtown, but just a quick drive to all of the surrounding towns and beaches. We would definitely stay here again! The owners were very easy to contact if needed. Overall a great experience.

Spotless and cozy home with great outdoor space, in a convenient location
We stayed at Kathleen's house in late August - early September 2020 and had a wonderful experience. This was our first time both visiting the Vineyard and renting a house for vacation, and it well-exceeded our expectations.
The house was truly spotless upon our arrival, and more spacious than in the pictures... very comfortable for a couple. The porch and deck were great places to have meals outside and relax! The house is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac but still walkable/bikeable to Vineyard Haven. We enjoyed biking around West Chop and into town. Beaches are mostly a short drive away -- our favorite was South Beach, in Katama, -- and Kathleen has outfitted the property with great beach chairs, towels, sandcastle toys, etc.
One note of caution is that when we stayed, the house did not have A/C, so got a bit warm... there are window fan units and skylights that open which help though! I think A/C units may be available if requested in advance.
We'd recommend this property to couples looking for a quiet, convenient, and clean house to retreat to after a day exploring the island by bike or car!
As a note for traveling during COVID-19: the Vineyard is taking excellent precautions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and we were very comfortable being out and about with our masks on. Mask compliance is very high and expected when walking around in the towns or on narrow trails. Restaurants have also adapted well for outdoor dining and takeout. This is a great place to stay and have a safe, clean, and relaxing trip!

Great place for couples
My husband and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and to spend some time "away". Overall we really enjoyed our stay- the cottage is nicely stocked and has everything that you will need for a beautiful beach vacation, it was very clean, and the location is very quiet. One issue that we did run into was that this cottage DOES NOT have AC even though the listing says that it does. This was a little upsetting because AC is important to us for vacations, especially during the summer. When we called the owner to ask about it, her response was that, "nobody had ever complained about it", and we felt a little dismissed. Regardless of whether anyone had complained or not, the listing itself says AC, which is where the problem lies. I will say that the cottage stayed somewhat cool except when using the kitchen it did get pretty warm. Overall it was a great trip and you can see and feel the care that was put into the cottage.

Wonderful home
We greatly enjoyed our very comfortable vacation in September. The outside porch was a great place to read on a rainy day. The kitchen was well equipped and the open area of DR/LR left plenty of room.

We loved it and will book again. Our only suggestion would be the addition of a memory foam mattress topper for guests like ourselves who prefer a softer sleep surface as the mattress is quite firm!

Easy Stay
House is clean, no odors (important to me), modern, newly renovated, bright. Kitchen fully equipped (oil, spices, everything you need to cook), everything you need for the beach is provided. Kathleen the owner is very responsive, flexible and easy to communicate with. Location easy with car. Quiet neighborhood. Outdoor shower is different and fully enclosed (not open air). Thank you!

Wonderful place to stay
The home was very clean and up to date. Very convenient with an outdoor shower in the back to wash of sand. More than enough space in the back to park. Nice size deck to entertain and bbq. I definitely recommend staying here. They have everything there for you. You can tell this is a well thought out vacation home as it accommodates all your needs.

Spectacular home
We've rented in MV 7 times and we liked this home the best. It was perfect for us. We adore the warm community in Vineyard Haven and the home was a walking distance from the town center. The owner had all the kitchen items along with spices, trash bags - all the things we needed to prepare prepare a meal. Thanks Kathleen

Beautiful but air conditioning in whole house needed
Beautiful home. Great location. Air conditioner in more rooms than the bedroom would have made it absolutely perfect as when we cooked, the house really got warm inside.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is close close to the main strip in Vineyard Haven, so there are shops, restaurants, movie theater and other amenities close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Just wanted to take a moment to review this house. It was a perfect home for the two of us, spacious, clean as a whistle, nicely decorated and stocked with absolutely everything. The kitchen was so perfect that we did most of our dinners in the house (and used the grill). Having a washer and dryer in the house was KEY and a great benefit. I just wish I took that to heart before I packed too much clothing!
Kathy has plenty of bath and beach towels (and good ones too), bedding, pillows, and the bedroom is also quite comfortable.
We also loved the location as it was close enough to walk or bike to the downtown area/ferry. The yard and porch are also wonderful. We spent our breakfasts and dinner times on the porch and there is plenty of space on the front porch to leave our sandy items/towels/shoes/bags out when we returned from the beach, so were able to keep the floors sand-free (a huge plus!).
Thank you Kathleen for a really great home. We hope to be back next year. Anyone going soon, watch out for the skunks that like to hang out under the shrubs out back. :)

This home exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The location is great with easy access to all of MV. MV at this time of year is beautiful; the crowds are gone and the miles of beaches can be enjoyed peacefully. Most establishments are still open with little or no waiting. The kitchen in this home is ready for any cooking you may have in mind; it is fully stocked. If you are looking to rent in MV, this home is a sure thing. Thank you Kathleen.

This was our 7th year visiting Martha's Vineyard and this house is definitely a new favorite getaway spot! The house was very clean and well stocked with sheets, towels, dishes, and even beach chairs! The deck is shady and the perfect spot to relax in the afternoons. The wireless internet was a definite plus and the big back yard was great - we even saw bunnies and baby turkeys! The location is very convenient to town and several beaches. I loved the sea glass color of the bathroom walls so much I am going to try to match it at our house this weekend! The owner is very responsive to emails and very knowledgeable about the area.

We had a fantastic stay at this home in Vinyeard Haven, Martha's Vineyard. It was our first time to the Vineyard and so much to see and do. This was the perfect home base for us each day as we explored the Island. With its close proximity to town, it was an easy-enough walk (no more than 30 minutes) to great shops and restaurants. The home was so well equipped that it truly was a home away from home. The location is in a a very peaceful setting with great covered porches - and turkeys much to our surprise! Great house! Would definitely rent again if we returned to the Vineyard.

We had a great time at this fantastic island home. The house was clean, cozy, welcoming and even relatively child proof for our 11-months old to crawl and explore. We also enjoyed the fact that the kitchen is greatly equipped. It was definitely one of our favorite holiday homes we ever visited!

This home is truly an island gem! And I say 'home' because it has everything- the kitchen is fully stocked with great cook/dining ware, including pantry essentials, soft towels and bed linens, and cozy furniture. Everything is always so clean and tidy upon arrival, helping the stay be truly comfortable and relaxing! Not to mention the house has everything, so packing is super easy- even with kids!
Great location! Only a 10 minute walk to town for shopping, restaurants, the town beach, or delicious Mad Martha's ice cream! 10 minutes in the other direction brings you to the West Chop lighthouse and beautiful lookout point to watch an amazing sunset. Short drive to other island beaches!
The large side porch is definitely a favorite spot for our family- from enjoying the morning cup of coffee, to relaxing with a book, to eating our meals at the outdoor table. Even the days it rained or we had too much sun the day before, the porch was always perfect with a nice warm breeze.
The days at the beach are perfect with the cooler, beach chairs, and beach towels provided. There are even sand toys for the kids!
Every year we look forward to going back to this island oasis, but more importantly, this 'home' away from home.
