The food was so delicious (3 courses with plenty of tea) the room was so comfortable, the bed was the best one we had in Peru, very nice shower with hot water, good WiFi and the garden and animals are beautiful.

Nice looking property. More of a luxurious feel to it.

Room was amazing and beautiful views across the valley. The bed was huge and super comfortable. Shower was great after a long day walking as well. We could pay on card with no charge (check current exchange rate) and as we wanted to leave around 5:30 to beat the sun we had sandwiches made for us which were delicious.
Prices for water, beer, lunch and dinner was more expensive than we were expecting.

Absolutely amazing place, incredibly beautiful and modern rooms with cozy beds, balcony with nice views. Dinner is really delicious and the included breakfast too. They prepare picnic for lunch as well. Definitely one of the best places we stayed during our travels in South America.

Friendly people, good food in good quantity, amazing beds, hot shower

The owner gave us a free upgrade and the room was amazing. Huge bed which was so comfy as well as a newly renovated bathroom and unreal views from the bed. The meals were also very tasty!
It was a little difficult to find coming from the Cabanaconde side
4.8
Location and staff are excellent, beds are perfect. A well deserved treat after a long hike!
The warm shower was low on pressure, but this is a minor comment given the rest of the lodge and its good quality

Very friendly, informative host.
Spacious stylish new upstairs bedroom with huge bed, balcony paved with local basalt, lovely view across the canyon and so peaceful.

The food is great! Very big comfortable bed.
Our room was a bit dirty, the shower wasnt very strong, no toilet paper.

It was such a lovely stay here. We couldn’t find it for a short time but then dogs showed us the way, that was cute. 😊
We probably had 1 of the best meals in Peru here. The dinner was huge with an amazing starter and everything was made of homemade fruits and vegetables, everything was full of flavors! Don’t forget to order a mango juice! It is a must here. 😍
The owner was really nice, we had a quite long chat about their situation (covid and then demonstrations).
And of course at last but not at least, we took the upgraded room upstairs and it was a pleasure to stay there (much nicer than at the pictures). We had a small balcony for the relaxation and view at the mountain and canyon, in the room there was a huge window which was facing the mountain. Just a paradise!! The room seemed just refurbished, furniture and decorstions were completely unexpected for Peru, very elegant and maybe close to scandinavian style. The bathroom was super nice.
I hope the situation is much better now than in Dec22/Jan23 and tourists are coming over. Really wish it to this family. 😊🤞
Not a single thing.

Very nice room, very clean. An enormous bed. Nice dinner. Breakfast package offered as we left very early

the massive and extremely comfortable bed and bed linen
delicious dinner and my Gluten Free diet was understood and easily catered for ( a rarity in South America so far)
great location and views

Perfect location. Nice beds
My Girlfriend got bit by the neighbours dog when we entered the location. Nobody really took care and we were really puzzled.

Exceptional! This Lodge was exceptional! In the midst of a grueling Colca Canyon hike we got to Ribelino's place. In such a remote location we found exceptional luxury: king size bed, linen like a cloud, a wonderful bathroom, huge picture window looking across to the daunting mountain we'd descended the day before AND a balcony. The dinner we had started with appie and soup AND it's 40 minutes to the nearest road...by donkey. Bravo Ribelino! You have created an amazing refuge for travellers and it was exceptional! Thank you!

We would give 20/10 if it was possible.
A dream of a lodge combining the sounds of nature and an astonishing view on the valley with luxurious rooms.
Huge Beds and a private, well equipped bathroom let us rest perfectly.
The owner is very friendly and got some stories to tell about growing up in the town and how he built the lodge.
Dinner and breakfast are more than delicious with mostly local ingredients.

Amazing experience at the Colibri Lodge. We were there only 1 night but regret not spending more time. We started the Colca Canyon in Cabanaconde and ended in San Juan de Chucho to this amazing location. Everyone here made sure to make us feel welcome, providing amazing tips to us. Lunch and dinner were great (amazing guacamole btw) and the special teas they made us to help us recover from the trekking were really good. The appartment was super modern and clean, with a nice terrace. Do not miss the chance to visit Colibri, its a must visit!

The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly! We got a free room upgrade, with a private bathroom. It was very clean and the bed was enormous and very, very comfortable. Dinner was served family style at 7pm and the food was very good. We left early in the morning before breakfast was served, but the owner made sure some sandwiches were prepared for us to take in the morning, along with some fruit and coca tea. Highly recommend!

Everything! 😁 Bed was super comfortable, the room clean, breakfast (included with the price) was very good, dinner was even better! Host will assist you with different routes and give advice on what you can do in the canyon!

The best lodge/hostel we slept in during our trek in Peru. The rooms have a great view, huge comfy beds, and spotless clean private bathrooms (solar powered hot shower, so take your bath before dark :). The food is simply outstanding. Simple, but delicious and almost entirely locally grown, with fresh avocados, local herbs and sancayo cactus juice. The host and his family are very friendly and are doing a fantastic job running the place. Overall -- 100% recommend.

Rivelino and family are wonderful, warm hosts, and share stories and local knowledge. Food is excellent, rooms are new and great.
Hot water runs out fast.

The room with an amazing view. How the family made us feel at home.

This place was great--beautiful setting, very clean room with comfortable beds, extremely clean bathroom, and delicious dinner. Great place to stay during a multiday canyon hike.
Our only complaint would be that the showers were cold because they depend on solar and it was cloudy the day that we arrived.

Oasis in a green remote location. Modern rooms, exceptional considering remoteness. Beds comfortable
Owner very helpful to arrange transport for us. Excellent wifi.

The rooms at Colibri Lodge are incredible. They are big, with huge and comfortable beds, and one giant window and balcony overlooking the canyon. It's a family-run business and they can provide you with meals as well, which unfortunately we didn't manage to enjoy as we were too tired after our hike and went straight to bed. Bathrooms are clean with a great hot shower. Wifi and card payments are fully functioning, and it's surprising considering the remote location!
I would suggest they add a bit more furniture/amenities in the room, like coat hangers, as there is plenty of space which could be made better use of. Be aware that from the Colca river bridge that you reach as the end of the downhill trek, it takes another 30 minutes to reach Colibri. If you can't find it, ask the locals working in the fields around, they will escort you there!

the staff is very kind/ the food is very delicious / good value for money

We enjoyed the quality of our stay, the warm welcoming of our host, and the authenticity of the place. Meals were delicious and it was a pleasure to have a break before reaching Sangalle Oasis rather than doing the full hike in one day. The quality of the room is above one can expect from such isolated place.

Amazing location in the jungle next to the Colca river. Beautifull rooms with amazing bathrooms & view from the bed on the canyon. Super friendly staff that cooks a superb 3 course dinner for like 15 eur for 2 persons. Wonderfull stay.

Amazing lodge, especially in such a remote location! The rooms are wonderful with amazing bedding (we had the best night of sleep after a full day of hiking!), lovely views and a great bathroom with hot shower. The staff was so so kind and helpful and dinner and breakfast were amazing and very copious, perfect when trekking in the canyon! This place is a true gem, we were so impressed!!
Nothing! Everything exceeded our expectations!

We had a great time at Colibri Lodge, we even stayed one night more than planned. Perfect location to explore the canyon and have some quiet time.
The owners are really friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and the view from the balcony breathtaking. We ate dinner twice and it was really good, i highly recommend this place.

Amazing rooms with really big comfortable beds. The breakfast is nice (pancakes) and can even be provided really early if you want to hike before it gets warm. They also serve a nice dinner for a good price!
4.8
No wonder they have such great reviews! Huge comfy bed with an amazing view of the canyon, big modern bathroom with a great shower. This place is deep in a canyon, middle of nowhere with much better amenities than most South American cities. Staff were incredible and spoke amazing English. Great tips and Information given. Really nice breakfast & dinner (Multiple courses). Do yourself a favour a spend one of your Colca Canyon nights here! They also serve you fruit and vegetables grown on the property. Avocados are unreal!
Nothing, exceeded expectations!

The fabulous host, the amazing decor and the delicious food. Easily the nicest hotel on the Colca Canyon trek!
Couldn’t stay there longer.
