We loved the house but had a bad week of heat, rain, icy ocean water, and one week wasn't enough. We have a annual family gathering to celebrate a "Universal Birthday" and we have rented in Orleans for years. Our previous house was much smaller so this year I decided to splurge and this house was just what we all wanted. We had a great family gathering and the house just fitted us all.

Wonderful, tranquil location within easy walk of excellent local store, ice cream stand and restaurants. The house has a lovely back yard overlooking the small harbor, with immediate water access for swimming and kayaks. Kitchen is well organized and complete, great for anyone that appreciates such things. Host is communicative, supporting and helpful. She mailed us a forgotten item immediately after we vacated, thanks again Lisa! Would stay again.

Great family time !
The house was in a very convenient location for walking into town & driving to other towns . The view & outdoor atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking at any time of day or night . Ideal for cookouts . The out door furniture was ample for a family to enjoy outdoor dinning . The kitchen was fully loaded with every utensil to have casual or gourmet meals & fancy cocktails . Being an older home it didn’t have a master bathroom . Overall our experience with a family of 6 adults & two children ages 8 &12 was lots of fun . The boys especially enjoyed the kayaking & water access . It was a lovely expience .

Beautiful setting
Beautiful setting with expansive views of Meetinghouse Pond, with all the moored boats, from master bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen.
Thoroughly enjoyed the owner's two kayaks which are in good condition for daily paddles right off the back dock.
Nauset Beach is just 1.8 miles away - I jogged there a couple times. Sunday School ice cream is a 3 minute walk at the end of the cul-de-sac. Center of Orleans and Cape Cod Bike Trail are about 2 miles away - easy to get to.
House has all the necessities including a very good propane BBQ grill and a great coffee maker!

Beautiful waterfront home!
My 2 teenage daughters and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this East Orleans property in July, 2018 . We are very familiar with Cape Cod but had never stayed in Orleans. This home is comfortable, nicely decorated, and well maintained. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The central air conditioning ensured comfortable sleeping at night. Literally almost every room in the house (even the outdoor shower!) has a view of the water! We ate breakfast every morning on the terrace and watched seals, osprey, hawks, and cormorants hunt for their breakfast. We cooked several dinners in the well equipped kitchen and grilled outside on the easy to use Weber grill. The water view is just lovely. The home is located on a very quiet street that ends in a cul-de-sac.
We went to gorgeous Nauset Beach almost every day. It is only a short 3 minute drive down the road. Of all the beaches on the Cape, Nauset is our favorite.
We also enjoyed the kayaks provided by the owners. The property is on a salt water pond that connects to Pleasant Bay. We paddled around and enjoyed the spectacular scenery and even had some up close encounters with curious seals!!
This property is located on the waterside of Route 28 for those familiar with the Cape.. There is a market, ice cream shop, several gift shops, a pizza parlor and 2 other restaurants within walking distance or very short drives. The convenience can't be beat.
We would highly, highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Getaway
My family and I just spent a wonderful 5 days at this property. We were so comfortable watching the boats, drinking coffee and sunning ourselves as we planned our daily activities. The house is well equipped. We all had ample privacy. We made delicious dinners in the spacious kitchen. We will certainly be back.

Best rental in our fifty-five summers on Cape Cod
Beautiful, roomy, comfortable. Kitchen, laundry room and everything else very well supplied. Right on the water, superior views, water temp high 70's, swimming and boating dock, six minute walk to grocery store, pizza parlor, ice cream store. We are very picky: this is THE best summer rental we have ever had, and we have been renting Cape houses since the Sixties. Gracious and accommodating landlord.

Great Waterfront Vacation Home
We loved our vacation in this salt-water front home and cannot wait to return again this summer. This quintessential Cape Cod house with tasteful decor and fabulous views is well laid out for a family vacation. The gorgeous water views from every room made everyone in the family happy. Our kids were mesmerized watching the boats go by. This location was perfect for them. They could fish off the dock and take a short walk to the Village of East Orleans to get ice cream, pizza or sandwiches. We all walked to three different restaurants. The nearby Nauset Farms Market is a special place. With the well equipped kitchen and gas grill, we had wonderful alfresco dinners watching the light fade over the water from the flagstone patio right off the spacious dining room.

We loved this East Orleans House & Location!
We had a great vacation in this lovely East Orleans house last summer. We enjoyed everything about it, especially the water views, from just about every room and especially its great open floor plan. We found the kitchen conveniently laid out, easy to navigate and very family friendly. The kitchen is eat-in with a large adjacent dining area. Both have views of the water. The patio is right off the dining area where we spent many afternoons or evenings grilling our favorite foods.
My children certainly had fun swimming off the dock. And my family used the boat provided by the owner to go to the outer beach, which was great! One of the perks of this house is its proximity to East Orleans. We often walked there for ice cream, pizza and loved shopping in the quaint stores.
To sum it up we loved this house, the location and the wonderful relaxing vibe.

FANATASTIC RELAXING VACATION!!
A beautiful private setting with incredible panoramic water views which were enjoyed both indoors and outdoors. The back of the home had a spacious patio for barbeques, sun bathing and taking in the beautiful scenery from sunrise to sunset. The interior of the house was very comfortable and bright. The open floor plan on the main level provided a great entertaining experience and the large TV room downstairs was perfect for family gatherings. All in all, a wonderful relaxing environment and a great place to spend our vacation. We look forward to coming back again.

Superb vacation in Orleans!
Our vacation experience was superb! The house was bright, inviting and the water view was fabulous. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio to watch the boats and bird life. The house is private situated but a sort walk to East Orleans so we often walked to get ice cream in the evening and coffee in the morning. Plus there was a small fitness studio with some great classes. Our host, Lisa, was accessible and helpful.

Panoramic views? YES. Waterfront paradise? NO
Vacation home is spacious, and located right on Meeting House pond. It sits atop a hill and the view of marina is spectacular. The house itself is very dark and rooms are spread out such that my niece didn't want to stay with us because the house felt "spooky". She didn't want to be downstairs or in small room off kitchen. One of my sons slept at his cousin's place because his allergies were bothering him (mold?).
The 1940s or 1950s home is tastefully decorated with antiques, and original bathroom floor and fixtures, but the mildew smell that greets you at the front door stays with you all week. The kitchen was hard to use - way too many dishes piled into a cupboard, and nothing in pantry but salt, pepper, and someone's old can of icing. I have rented many homes in this area, and was surprised that there were no spices or basics like olive oil. I usually do a lot of cooking, but didn't feel at home in this kitchen. Many of the dishes needed to be washed before we could use them - it was like someone had rinsed them, but not scrubbed them clean. The appliances were clean and functional though.
The house is within a short walk to a market, a pizza place, and Sundae School ice-cream. The house is about two miles from Nausset beach and traffic is very heavy (not safe for kids to bike).
Overall, we have stayed at newer, nicer places for a lot less. I understand that being on the water is a big plus, but in my opinion this home is overpriced and I am sorry to say we would not opt to stay here again.

Lovely waterfront family get away!
It's our 4th visit to this lovely home overlooking Nauset Harbor. Once again our favorite spot is the patio looking out over the boats ... cooking out, eating lobsters or just reading a book. This year, we celebrated 3 birthdays out there and even spotted a seal in the harbor! We took full advantage of the dock as well!
The 4 bedrooms are spread throughout the house which affords a lot of privacy if you have more than one family in the house. Our small children loved the private driveway which allowed them to ride bikes and roller-skates and scooters without supervision. The kitchen has all the basics and the homeowner has an amazing collection of pottery and dishware which made our entertaining more festive.

Great Place and Location
Spent a week with our adult children, spouses and young grandchild. The location is wonderful. Great views and breze from the relaxing patio. Easy walk to the village and short rides to the ocean and bay beaches.
The house is spacious and gives everyone room to be together or alone. Outside shower is great. Views of the water from the living room are wonderful.
Everything works and Lisa was great to deal with. There was also local support. When we ran out of propane and called the local support person, he arrived in 10 minutes with a replacement tank.
The house isn't modern but it is well kept up and the beds and seating areas are comfortable. Being close to the water, the bugs come out in the evening - but it is the Cape.
We had a great family vacation.

Mindstopping views and Comfortable Living
The home sits on a broad terrace overlooking Meeting House Pond with a stairs leading down to a dock and swimming. Easy access to downtown Orleans and Nauset Beach. Abundant room for walking, private back yard with barbecuing amenities. Many doors to the outside, many views of pond and surrounding area, boats running out to sea, plenty of cooking and gathering space. Many bedrooms, TV and game room, nooks to get lost in, comfortable with the quiet sounds of water at night. We loved this house. It's a great place for a family to spend a week or two -- or even a summer on the Cape. This welcoming home and setting made our stay delightful, hard to leave and eager to return.

loved the place, perfect for a family vacation
Like staying in a 4 star hotel, every need was anticipated and we were incredibly comfortable during our stay. The location is great, near everything we wanted, but extremely private and peaceful. A lovely spot indeed.
We highly recommend this property for any family vacation or get-together. So glad we found it!

Blissful Vacation
We are return visitors to this utterly comfortable house in East Orleans. Our family gets a chance to bond on the terrace in the morning before we set out for a day of fun in the sun. In the evening, after an outdoor shower, we commune for dinner. On rainy days, the spacious house allows for fun indoor activities and enough space for quiet reading. The location is ideal- close to beach and town. We return like swallows to Capistrano every year.
