A freat spot for a few days

Beautiful and peaceful location
The property is well located in a beautiful part of Victoria with easy access to ski resorts. But it looked like the property had been untenanted for a while as there were lots of spider webs - including on the kitchen shelves - and hair and dust under the cushion on the window seat. We noticed the dust and hair when we chased a spider under the cushion and lifted it, and found all the hair and dust there.

Loved this cottage and loved the greenery
Beautiful greenery, lots of trees, Lovely cottage, freshwater creeks/rivers, nice little country town and next door to a great Hotel called Snowline and not far from Mount Hotham.

Good for a short stay
Clean and tidy cottage with all we needed for a short trip to the snow. Well positioned close to ski hire and bus pick-up point and right at the foot of mountain. Living room/kitchen and main bedroom all good size. Second bedroom was much smaller than expected - room for bunk beds and not much more. Would stay there again for convenience to Hotham and pick-up food supplies in Bright on the way through.

Great spot!
We used Autumn Leaf cottages as a base for a 3 day ski trip to Mt Hotham, we found the cottage warm, comfortable and relaxing after a long day. close to the pub which is handy for meals and the cottage has a great little kitchenette for breakfasts. Would stay there again.

Great Short Stay
I had a great stay. Easy to book and organise check. Cosy little place at a reasonable price and a fantastic location close to town centre. Dont expect a modern fitout as this has a rustic appeal.

Excellent for a tranquil getaway
It was a great place just right for a family of 4. Loved the comfortable clean and tidy cottage with all of the basic needs supplied. The host is very kind and hospitable.
A bigger TV and a bath would have improved the experience.

Beautiful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Autumn Leaf Cottages. It was so quiet and peaceful and exactly what we needed. It felt secluded however was close to the hub of the village. The cottage was very comfortable and the hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Great property
The location was great, walking distance to all town amenities. Beautiful gardens with lots of resident birds, lorikeets, King parrots, Galahs, amongst others. Lovely, helpful hosts. Cottage impeccably clean, on the small side, great for couples rather than families. Good cooking facilities even though there is no stove. We had some great BBQ's! Would definitely stay again. :)

Have just returned from the most beautiful stay in Cottage 1 at Autumn Leaf. The photos certainly do not do this place justice. A beautiful, immaculate, cosy little cottage perfect for a young family to relax in over a long weekend or even longer. The two cottages are in 'duplex' style (with one common wall, and a shared deck (with half wall to separate); yet we never heard a single noise from the family in the other cottage. The most important thing to me when going away is a hot shower with good pressure, and a comfortable bed - and Autumn Leaf delivered on both fronts. The cottage is well presented and although the kitchen facilities are limited (bar fridge, webber bbq, microwave, toaster and fry pan are the only cooking facilities - no oven or stove), this was not an issue for us with the lovely restaurants, cafes and pubs available during the Melbourne Cup long weekend. The second bedroom is quite small (the bunks are basically all that fit in the room), but more than enough for a family such as ours (one toddler, who would climb into bed and go straight to sleep all night! Another reason we loved it!).I also want to make special mention of the beautiful garden out the front of Autumn Leaf. It was perfect for our toddler to play in during the day, and was a lovely rest stop for his Dad and I to sit and relax in with a cider and something to nibble on in the late afternoon sun. Coming back to that garden every day was a special treat.Autumn Leaf is very well located - next door to the pub (which we never heard a peep from, despite having live music and a large group of people always around for dinner) and within walking distance to both major walking tracks (Feathertop and Bon Accord) as well as the river, parks and tourist spots of Harrietville (trout farm, lavender farm, ice creamery, etc).Harrietville is a place of quiet and relaxation. We had beautiful walks by the river and down to the park as well as pleasant drives up to Mount Hotham, Dinner Plain, Falls Creek and Omeo. This weekend was a bright spot in our year, and we will definitely be back each year to take some time out to relax in Harrietville.Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

This was our first trip to the snow and the experience was certainly topped off with our stay at Autumn Cottages. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with ensuring we had everything we need for a memorable ski holiday. The cottages were ammaculate and the chocolates, wine and small bunch of fresh flowers were certainly appreciated!! The bunk room was a little cosy though.
