The apartment is a 300m (about four minutes) walk from the centre of Maria Alm. Information on map saying 3.3 km from centre is wrong!!
This is a roof apartment with high ceiling in the lounge/dining area. Cable TV, DVD and WI-FI internet access are provided. There is a large patio door leading onto a south-facing balcony, with delightful views of the Aberg mountain area.
There are two bedrooms, one with a 'super king sized bed' and the other with full sized bunk beds. Both rooms have drawer and wardrobe space. Sheets and towels are provided in the price.
There is a separate, well equipped kitchen and a shower room which also contains the washing /drying machine.
The price for the apartment includes heating, hot water, electricity, stay tax and final cleaning.
In the basement of the apartment block are two storage rooms for boots and skis/bicycles.
A private parking space is also available next to the Haus.

'This was our best flat rental in a ski resort yet - it had everything that we needed close at hand. The flat felt more homely and loved than other flats - it has character and a personal feel about it that other flats have lacked. The beds, sofa and general living space and amenities were all extremely comfortable. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with everything that a self-catering holiday needs (for a change I didn't have to use a fork for mashed potato - a potato masher was in a drawer just like at home and there were pots and pans a plenty - I could even have baked a cake if I had wanted). The village with its bars/hotels/cafes and shops are all a short, pleasant walk away and if you are skiing the lifts and slopes are also close at hand. David and Jill added to the break by their friendly approach and were great at providing all the information that anybody could possibly need but not in an overly fussy way - they wanted us to enjoy our stay, which we did. Many thanks and when we return to Maria Alm we will certainly rebook.'

We needn't have been concerned about the decision to go again, we have just returned feeling a lot fitter from all the walking and cycling we have done in the area and relaxed from the quiet and well equipped apartment. We particularly appreciated the balcony and its views, the well equipped kitchen, the wireless access and comfortable sofa. We kept discovering new walks and places of interest.'

The flat is great, everything there. Good location, everything necessary can be reached by foot. Also quiet and the balcony is very big with a nice view to the mountains.
The only thing we didn't know exactly before was that the two bedrooms have no door. There is a curtain and therefore, depending how good your children sleep, you have to be quiet in the living room. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Proper an well equipped apartment with large balcony, kitchen ( no dishwasser) 2 small bedrooms bathroom with washing machine, no drayer. The shower is very small and the hot and cold water knop are difficult to adjust to get a nice watertemperature. Advice install a thermostatic shower tap!

Enjoyed having a home (not hotel) for our stay after exploring each day. The view from the 4th floor was amazing! and 3 flights of stairs burned off some calories. A great location for Salzburg, Vienna (by train), Innsbruck, FC Pinzgau women's soccer, GrossGlockner, Maria Alm, hiking, bakeries (yum) and so much more. Washer/dryer - would be nice to wash and dry separately & more instructions for this. Apartment was clean, comfy, and stocked with pots/pans, dishes, maps/brochures, games and more. Empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung
Uns (2 Erwachsene mit 2 Kindern) hat die Ferienwohnung sehr gut gefallen. Sie ist gemütlich eingerichtet und ruhig gelegen. Man hat einen schönen Blick vom Balkon und kann in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum gehen, wo man alles Notwendige findet (Bäcker, Supermarkt, Restaurants, Sportgeschäft).
Auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite der Vorderseite des Hauses befindet sich eine Baustelle. Dort wird ein Hotel gebaut. Die Vermieter haben uns im Vorfeld darauf hingewiesen. Die Baustelle ist kein Problem, da die Fenster der Wohnung auf der anderen Seite liegen, so dass man die Baustelle nicht sieht. Es gab auch keine Lärmbelästigung durch die Baustelle (auch nicht bei geöffneten Fenstern).
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es von uns aus folgenden Gründen. Der Schlüssel für die Ferienwohnung sollte in einem Safe, der sich direkt am Hauseingang befindet, hinterlegt sein. Der Safe ließ sich nach Eingabe der Geheimnummer problemlos öffnen, allerdings lag kein Schlüssel darin. Wir haben dann umgehend den Vermieter und die Haushälterin (Kontaktdaten wurden uns im Vorfeld mitgeteilt) kontaktiert, konnten jedoch zunächst niemanden erreichen. Die Haushälterin hat sich zum Glück dann doch nach 20 - 30 min gemeldet und uns mitgeteilt, dass sie im Augenblick auf der Rückreise aus dem Ausland ist, aber schnellstmöglich organisiert, dass wir in die Wohnung können. Es kam dann recht schnell jemand vorbei, der uns dann aber mitgeteilt hatte, dass die Wohnung noch gar nicht vorbereitet und saubergemacht war. Die Wohnung wurde dann gereinigt. Ungefähr zwei Stunden nach unserer Ankunft konnten wir dann endlich in die Wohnung. Diese war dann auch ordentlich saubergemacht (und nicht nur oberflächlich). Zwischenzeitlich hatte sich auch der Vermieter bei uns gemeldet und sich entschuldigt. Am nächsten Morgen kam dann auch die Haushälterin mit einer Flasche Wein vorbei und hat sich auch noch einmal entschuldigt. Ich denke, dass hier einfach ein blöder Fehler passiert ist, der uns einen gehörigen Schrecken versetzt hat. Wichtig ist aber, dass man sich umgehend um die Lösung des Problems gekümmert hat.
Ein weiterer kleiner negativer Punkt ist die Dusche. Die Duschtür ist defekt und lässt sich daher nur mit Fingerspitzengefühl richtig schließen und auch nur, wenn man in der Dusche steht. Wir Erwachsenenen haben das hinbekommen, unsere Kinder (4 und 7) aber nicht. Die Kinder abduschen, wenn man selbst außerhalb steht, ging nicht, da die Duschtür nicht komplett aufgeht.

Die FeWo ist super gelegen und bietet Erholung pur. Der Blick auf die Berge, während man auf dem Balkon frühstückt, ist herrlich. Wir kommen wieder. ☺️

I spent 5 days here with my two children in August.
Positive
The apartment location is ok, around 5 min. walk to the shops, restaurants and Skilift.
The owners made an effort to ensure the tourist cards arrived in time in spite of last minute booking.
The village was nice and the local mountain was fun with children (Alm with playground, lake, slides in forest).
The tourist card includes free lift access in the summer, as well as a ride in the nearby summer Rodelbahn.
Negative
The apartment furnishings are quite old and some things didn't work (shower door, blinds).
Only one half of the double bed was made up with bedding, and when an additional sheet was requested, the owner was not helpful.
Pillows were quite dirty.

Schöner Wanderurlaub
Wir haben zu viert eine sehr schöne Woche in der Wohnung genossen, die der Beschreibung voll entsprach. Morgens und abends konnten wir auf dem Balkon die schöne Ausicht geniessen, tagsüber haben wir uns in der wunschschönen Umgebung ordentlich ausgetobt. Das Doppelstockbett war auch für mich als Erwachsener noch ok. Die Küche ist klein, aber bestens ausgestattet, nur eine kleine "Überraschung": Kaffeemaschine war ein Kaspelgerät, keine Filtermaschine.
Da es noch viel zu erkunden gibt, werden wir sicherlich noch (mindestens) einmal wiederkommen.

Beautiful location
It’s worth staying here for the views alone. Maria Alm is a beautiful place and we found so much to do and see in the area. Dave and Jill were really quick to reply when we contacted them and sorted out a problem (caused by Royal Mail) really quickly. The only negative was a new hotel being built across the paddock in front of the building which led to very early hammering, not quite as relaxing as it could have been but I guess that will be over soon.

Nice and comfortable place to stay for skiing holidays.
We enjoyed staying at this apartment. The owners did a great job to make one feel at home right from the beginning. It is not very big, but nevertheless it worked well for two parents and two kids. The huge living room window provides a perfect view towards the east and the Aberg.
It is perfectly located close to the ski-lifts as well to the center of Maria Alm.

Super apartment in a lovely area
Fabulous apartment, very comfortable, well appointed with lovely views from the balcony and from the moment we booked, Dave and Jill ensured we had all the information we needed to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
We discovered this region many years ago and the apartment is ideally placed to take advantage of the whole ski area, which can start at the with a t-bar at the top of the road or the ski bus stop close by.
Can't recommend it enough and we are booking it again for next year!

This was our fourth or fifth visit to Maria Alm and Dave and Jills apartment. As always they arranged the booking very well and provided us with lots of info about the apartment and Maria Alm. This year we received Hochkoning cards for free which were fantastic, free lifts, free buses, free swimming pool in the village etc. The apartment is perfect with everything you need, parking, wifi, english language TV, nice kitchen and bathroom etc and exceptional value. Maria Alm is a beautiful place to stay and has improved over the years. It is a good base to explore the area and we'll definitely return.

Great apartment
The apartment is great with everything you need and the view is just lovely. It is only a 2 minute walk into town and there are plenty of little bars and restaurants to choose from. We always holiday in the off season usually in France and this is the first time that we have been somewhere that didn't feel closed. There were plenty of things open like go karting, quad biking, kayaking. The Maria Alm ski lift was also open from the middle of May and free with the visitors card that was very kindly organised for us by the owners Dave and Jill who were very helpful. My husband is a bike mechanic and they sent us information on local bike trails without us even asking which was very thoughtful. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this apartment.
