About this house rental

Sea la Vie is a beach front with unobstructed views of the Gulf. The large patio has an outdoor eating area and tall lounge chairs to ensure a relaxing view of the ocean. The large, open living room, kitchen, dining area is a wonderful gathering place; and, the vaulted ceiling adds to the open feel. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and has a large dining bar to allowing everyone to join in the cooking/baking/eating experience.
Sea la Vie sleeps 10 in beds. The master bedroom features a king bed and an on suite with double sink and large shower. The second bedroom comes with a queen bed. And, the third bedroom accommodates 6 with full under twin bunk beds. Both the second and third bedrooms share a second bathroom with tub/shower combo.
Downstairs features covered parking, an outdoor shower, and a built-in picnic table.

Cathy was wonderful! She communicated with us after the storm and helped us feel at ease. The house was perfect and right on the beach. There are very few houses in the area. Felt like a private beach most of the time. There was some debris after the hurricane that can be expected, but there were some amazing shell finds! The house was perfect for our family of 6 and there was room to sleep 2-3 more comfortably! This was our first time being right on the beach and it was such a great experience- we could go up and down to the beach at our leisure. We brought most of our groceries and hit the Big Store (10 min drive) for necessities. We cooked every meal at the house and spent all week at the beach. Drove 20 minutes one afternoon to take the ferry to Galveston and visited the Strand for a little shopping. Definitely recommend the ferry. Pro-tip:bring some nice clothes that coordinate and take some family pics at the beach!

We were so excited to bring our kids to stay on the ocean! The beach house was great with no complaints and owners were amazing with communication if you had any questions! Would def recommend!

This property is right on the beach and the beach is easy to access. There is a shower downstairs to rinse off sand. There were plenty kitchen tools/towels etc available. We all had a great time.

The house was amazing! Its right on the beach with beautiful views. It had everything we needed for our stay. Everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable. They even had bath toys that my son loved. We didnt get much beach time due to tropical storm alberto, but we still had a lot of fun. The propery owners messaged to check on us during the storm so that was nice.

We enjoyed our stay at Sea La Vie for a family vacation. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished. The property was just as described with all the kitchen and bathroom supplies. The balcony was spacious, holding all 8 of us for meals and relaxing. The house is very close to the beach which was quiet and family friendly during our stay. The beds were comfy and the A/C blew cold. It was a bonus to have some local and streaming channels on the TV. The wifi was sufficient. The outside shower was convenient to wash off the sand. We appreciated that we could bring our little dog, too. We had good communication with the owners. Overall, we would highly recommend this property!

We really enjoyed our stay here it was so nice to be right on the beach. We spent time sitting on the deck enjoying the views, walking on the beach, and visiting some of the local sites. This was my first trip to the ocean and I have to say we picked the best place for this experience. Was nice we could bring our dog Buddy with us too. We would definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a quiet, not busy beach front house for Mother’s Day/Anniversary week and we could not of found the more perfect place. Not only was it on the beach, it was very beautiful and clean! And most of all PET FRIENDLY!!! We did have to contact the owners when the internet went out during a storm, but they contacted us fairly quickly and got it fixed as soon as they could. And then contacted us to make sure all was fine! It’s definitely family friendly and well worth it to check it out!!! R&KFalk

We had an absolute lovely time staying in this beach house! It was clean and very well stocked, especially with dishes (which I very much appreciated). We had many beach walks finding eclectic seashells, surf fishing, reading, and just watching the waves hit the shore. My son caught a giant red bull fish off the surf with Miss Nancy’s bait. We caught enough whiting from the beach to have an awesome fish fry. We also found the shrimp guy, whose prices were very reasonable for delicious fresh shrimp. The Big Store is everything everyone said and served our needs. Thank you for sharing your home!

My husband, 2 dogs and I all had a lovely stay. Cathy & Eric were great hosts and very responsive (we could find nothing on internet passwords). The house was spotless, fantastic location and that fabulous balcony!

This house was terrific. Location right on the beach with great access. The house was beautiful. Enough beds for large parties we had 8 + 2 dogs. Aside from the upand down stairs it was great. Water got hot quick and stayed hot long enough for multiple people to take showers. The only thing negative to say was that it was very windy and we grilled on the grill one night. There is not really any cover/wind wall to put the grill behind and that made it a little difficult. Orherwise it was perfect and would definently cobsider renting again as it is so nice to not be surrounded by tons of people.

Sea la Vie was the perfect house to stay in for my family and friends. The location could not have been more perfect! We were steps away from the beach and had a beautiful view from the balcony. The hosts were very responsive and provided all the comforts of home. We will definitely rent here again when we head back to Bolivar Peninsula!

Beautiful kept home on the water. Through the yard, take the path through the dunes right down to the beach. I travel with my special needs adult son and my mother. The home was perfect for us and could have easily held more of my family. Easy to walk through the yard and be in the sand. My special needs son could see me from the deck and I could see him from the beach. We will stay here again

Right on the beach. Quiet but the house is very close to the road so you do hear cars passing at night. It was not a problem for us. The house does sway quite a bit but we were OK with it. There is a purple Martin house in the back and they were very active and fun to watch. Nice seating area in the living room and all the amenities in the kitchen you would need. Very clean.

Beautiful view right on the ocean. Great house. Could not find the forks. My son told me that there were items in the dishwasher, did not think to look there, either one of us. I imagine they were in there along with whatever else.. Had a problem with getting the lock box open, though my son did not. Second house to our left there was a larger drunken, fairly rowdy party, complete with doing doughnuts with their vehicles on the beach into the night. The outdoor furniture was plentiful and nice, we liked that the chairs sat high above the railings so that you could take in the great view of the Gulf. Screens would have been nice so that we could open the windows. I guess the icemaker was not working but there was a bag of ice provided, which was nice. Great time bird watching at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. Overall a very nice house to stay at on the Bolivar Peninsula

We really enjoyed our stay at this beach house. Loved that it was right on the beach. I loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the water every morning. Beds were really comfortable. Loved that we could have our pups with us and that we could walk them along the beach. Was very quiet with not a lot of people nearby. Would definitely stay here again!
