Our family of 10 spanning three generations have just returned from a fabulous stay at this property. In a lovely location the property has everything we needed including a great family pool. Terry was great accommodating our wishes and Bruno keeps the pool and grounds in excellent condition.
Basaline, a chef introduced to us by Terry provided two wonderful dinners. Many thanks again to everyone for a memorable family holiday.

Terry's house is stunning and the pictures really don't do it justice. We were a big extended family and it's perfect as everyone has their own space, their own bathrooms etc. The outside al fresco areas are perfect for dinners every evening - we bbq'ed every night for a week! Days were spent by the pool which is kept clean by Bruno and we really loved the space for the week. it's close enough to supermarkets or St Emillion if you fancy venturing out of the house. would really recommend. One small point is that we were there when it was 39 degrees and there is no aircon, the fans don't work that well so the bedrooms were extremely hot - the lower floor of the house stays cooler, but as I say we were there in extreme heat

From our first contact with the owner ( Terry ) through to the stay itself we were not disappointed . The chateau is exactly as shown and described and worked well for an extended family gathering ( ages from 2 to 72) . Lots to do in the area and Terry was extremely helpful in terms of offering advice and information about local services and places to visit like the wine tasting at Chateau Mangot and the wonderful chef Laurie who cooked for us one evening . Would highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed .

We enjoyed a wonderful week in the best of accommodations , provided by a thoughtful owner, in a beautiful, lovingly cared for, very spacious, wine country home!

Once again our stay was wonderful. Our group of 6 was comfortable in the spacious areas both inside and out.
The nights were cool which was great for fresh air sleeping with the windows open.
Very good weather helped complete our week with only one rainy day and some partial rain another. There was still plenty to do to relax indoors and enjoy.
Thank you Terry for another lovely week.

La Mouleyre is a wonderful place for a holiday. We were a large, multi-generational family group, and all of us had fun. The setting is stunning and the house is large, beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable. Days were spent by the pool and visiting local attractions. We had a special meal cooked by two young chefs recommended by the owner, which was delicious. Thoroughly recommended.

A lovely happy and relaxed holiday with extended family. The house easily accommodated our large group, the gardens are delightful and the views from the terrace just wonderful! The property is extremely well located, Ste Emilion is very close and we did wine tastings, kayaking, markets, walking, cycling, and fell in love with Bordeaux. We couldn't have asked for more.

Warning: once you settle into this utterly enchanting 400 year old chateau, you may not want to leave. Our group of nine family and friends from Canada and the U.S.,spent a very special week here on a wine focused trip and the property exceeded everyone's expectations. The pictures are perfectly accurate. But the embrace you feel staying in this magical place in these gorgeous surroundings is something else. For example, we all marvelled at how alive the property is with the sounds of nature all around, and how the meticulously-restored maison not only oozes charm but complements the stunning landscape. Terry was the perfect host. He provided detailed information on all aspects of our stay in the Saint Emilion region, while patiently answering many questions. He also helped us arrange a memorable chef's dinner and provided key contacts that proved very useful. Enjoy!

We are a group of four couples who are very clise friends and travel once a year to a new interesting location. This was pur 16th trip. We have been to many nice places, but La Mouleyre was the best for several reasons. It was exactly as described. Bruno and Maria could not have been more helpful. The young chef Terry revommended

We are a group of three retired couples from Canada travelling through France. We were delighted to learn that the host is a fellow Canadian…making it even more special. The Chateau is absolutely magnificent with enough room to have accommodated another two or three couples. It was a little too chilly to take advantage of the pool but the grounds are spectacular with numerous little vignettes from which to appreciate the vineyards as far as the eye can see. The Chateau was immaculate with clear pride of ownership and very well equipped for all your possible needs. Bruno, the property manager, and his little Jack Russell dog were often on the property caring for the grounds and conveniently available for any concerns.
Saint-Émilion was the closest town for meals, or groceries as the case might be, and although only about 8 Km away it can be a challenge to navigate the little country roads after dark.
We would highly recommend the Chateau for a luxurious, quiet country retreat to enjoy the views and wines of the Saint-Émilion Appellation.

La Mouleyre is a beautiful place nestled ideally in the vineyards just outside the Medieval village of St. Emilion. Our host was, from the very first interactions with him, graciously responsive to questions and guidance about the area and about specific requests we had for everything from wine to food and places to visit and see. Amenities at La Mouleyre are impressive and replete (the kitchen is among the finest of its kind we have experienced). The grounds are compellingly beautiful and, it is clear from every interaction with our host that his aim is to provide a compelling and gracious experience during a visit to La Mouleyre. Thank you to all at La Mouleyre. We do hope to return one day soon.

We had an amazing time at Terry’s house. It is in a spectacular setting and the house has everything you could want. The photos don’t do it justice. Terry was very helpful and recommended activities and a chef that came to the house. I’d highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing wine country break.

Terry, the owner was informative, responsive to any inquiry, and simply a delight during our interactions. The property wonderful, beautiful and well equipped. It was obvious that was not a rental property but a home that was being shared. There was not a single missed thought for our visit. So much time saved by the little things that make a big deal. Even better than advertised, the amenities, the location, were all perfect. The house was close enough to everything you could want in the heart of wine country. We were 7 friends/family that had enough space and areas to catch up together or do something separately. We found the Chateau a wonderful meeting place at the end of a busy day or the perfect location for a peaceful and quiet day in countryside.
We were planning our return trip before we left.
Thank you Terry, for the taking all the needed things in modern life and still retaining the charm of the 17th century Chateau for those of us to visit and enjoy.

You can hardly find a better location and a more beautiful place in the St Emilion area. Our family is originally from the region and we know if very well so you can trust our judgment! The welcoming team is very friendly and efficient, the house and the grounds are spotless, the amenities are perfect, the view is fabulous. In short, a rare find! April 2022

This is an amazing property in a stunning location. Terry was a pleasure to deal with. Everything is even better than the pictures show. There is absolutely everything you need at the chateau, we loved it and will be back!

Property even better than description and photos. The smallest things had been thought of. It was a pleasure to stay. If you are interested in wine, it’s a fantastic location.

WOW! What can I say, other than this place is just incredible. The chateau, the views, the location - everything completely exceeds the description and photographs. We came for a weeks get away with my in-laws in August, there were 9 adults (21-86) and 3 children (3,5 and 7) and we couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect. Upon booking and during the lead up to our trip, Terry couldn’t be more helpful, he was always on hand should we have a question and was always happy to talk through recommendations etc, a wonderful host who you can tell takes great pride in his beautiful chateau. On arrival Elisabet was so friendly, welcoming and helpful (in fact, she was throughout our entire stay in helping with recommendations etc), the gentleman (whose name escapes me) and his lovely little dog were taking care of the pool and grounds daily and kept it looking pristine. We hired cars to get around which I would definitely recommend and we visited the local and very beautiful Saint-Emillion regularly for lunch and dinner, some places a little pricey but delicious food and a great variety of restaurants. If you are looking to do a wine tasting tour, we would recommend Chateau Mangot which is a very short distance from La Mouleyre, very informative and interesting - even the children enjoyed themselves. The people there were also very nice!
For us, we wanted a week chilling by the pool and that’s exactly what La Mouleyre had to offer (and some!!) we feel very lucky to have found La Mouleyre and have been able to experience such a fantastic holiday with family young and old. We can’t thank Terry and his team enough for such a beautiful and wonderful stay.

This chateau is every bit as beautiful as it looks online. The house was well stocked with everything you could want. The rooms are spacious clean and elegant. Bruno is on the grounds every day maintaining the lovely gardens. Just when you think the place is perfect, it exceeds expectations. Can't tell you how much fun we had in the "game room" playing pingpong and darts after dinner. It is really set out there among the vineyards but perfect as a quiet retreat. We cannot wait to go back.

We spent a lovely week at the house with the whole family. Following a warm welcome and tour from Bruno, it was very easy to setlle info and felt just like home! The house is tastefully decorated, the pictures really do not do it justice. It is situated in peaceful and beautiful surroundings and walking distance to a few vineyards yet just under 10 mins drive to the supermarkets and Saint Emillion.

This was a fantastic place to stay while enjoying St. Emilion, Bordeaux, the Medoc, and the Dorgorgne. The property is beautiful, house is tastefully furnished, with well-equipped kitchen. Overall, would highly recommend and hope to come back again someday.
