Pee drips all along the baseboard facing the toilet were very off-putting.

Location was great, basic kitchen stuff were provided, staff were nice, room was clean. :)
Just expected a better garden for stargazing, especially that our room was behind the lodging with a small window facing the parking lot. It was still a great stay though.

Great location, easy to walk to the pub in the village. Room was great with easy to access for checkin / checkout.
The combination on the room lock was a little simple. Obvious patterns like "1234" ahould be avoided for security.

Clean but very basic accommodation, tiny bathroom. It’s not clear where to check in. You need to go down the hill to the “Wild Renfrew” guest services.

Super clean room. Kudos to the cleaning lady doing her job above a beyond expectations. Reception staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you!
Next time I will book a room/chalet that has an ocean view. The bay is beautiful. West Coast Trail Lodge is an in-land property. Our room overlooked a parking lot and a faced the mountain.

The property is in a great location for sightseeing (Avatar Grove, Fairy Lake, Sombrio Beach). The pub is a good basic choice for food. The room was comfortable.
Even though this is a non-smoking place, people are allowed to smoke and it comes wafting into the room since you need to keep the windows open since there’s no air conditioning. They need to have a designated smoking area away from the rooms.

the partying next door. After we had been told that the quiet hours were from 10pm to 7pm I was awoken by the unit next to me. Turned out the the individual partying works for the pub across the road who also run the hotel. I was pissed. The place is clean but it is not good value, $250 a night for a 2 star hotel is not good value.

The beds were good and the room was clean. The bathroom was also newly renovated so that was also nice.

Staff did not seem to be particularly helpful when we checked in. Some of the information was incorrect.

A well equipped kitchenette, clean facilities and a comfortable bed. Easy to check in and out. More information regarding sights, hikes and activities could be made available in the room.

I liked the huge rock face directly outside the rooms window.
No chairs in the room, two rickety wooden side tables to sit on or the beds.

We were very comfortable in our room - we just wished we had reserved the front where we had a nice view not of the rock and the back parking lot
