This is a wonderful home, comfy beds, great kitchen, wonderful view. We will stay again!

We were so amazed with house and view! The beach was gorgeous & not crowded. Loved going to sleep to the roar of the ocean & waking up to the stunning scenery. Comfy beds & furniture. Kitchen had everything you might need. Bathroom spacious & modern. Even had a diffuser for us curly girls!!
4.8
Cute house that was very well equipped for our stay. The stairs to the beach would be a bit treacherous for people with mobility issues, but it was fine for our group. The beach you can access from the property is small and sparsely populated, so it was great for our kids and pups to run around.

The pictures do not do this property and area justice... it's so much better! We had an incredible time. The house is older but well kept and clean with the most gorgeous views... but honestly, we were hardly in it. The rooms are all upstairs, which we loved since we had kids with us. Fully stocked kitchen and a good-sized dining and living area. Doug sends an amazing list of things to do around the area and we hit up as much as we could. Our kids loved clamming for gapers literally right in front of the house, crabbing for Dungeness crabs at the boat ramp about a minute away, and finding all kinds of little sea life- bright purple and red starfishes, little spider crabs, cockles and little sand fishes. Sunset is more than gorgeous. Would 100% recommend and would definately come back.

Nice rental with amazing view

It's definitely well worn. Chairs with rips in them, floor tiles peeling up, screens missing in windows, electrical issues, and a mildew smell in the very tiny shower.
It is right on the beach though and very quiet, so that is nice. The town is small, so you'll need to drive into Tillamook for most things.

This place was better than described. We loved the location. The view was great and proximity to beach was excellent.
The cabin was clean, had everything we needed and was much bigger than expected. We will come again.

Our family’s stay was exceptional! The house is wonderful and you can’t beat the view. The host was super responsive, easy to deal with and the house was well stocked, and very comfortable. We found everything we needed to cook family meals, and have a more than comfortable stay.
Parking can be tricky with others street parking but I got to practice multi-point turns to get out of the driveway. It was more a nuisance than an issue.
The shower is on the small side but the water pressure was amazing and we never ran out of hot water, and the size of the bathroom was large and lots of room to live around. The washer and dryer a bonus for a beach stay. No sand brought home. :)
All in all, it was exactly what we needed and we’ll be back! Made a vacation with extended family memorable, comfortable, and feel like home in a beautiful location! And we did see the seals in the bay from the amazing deck.
Book this! You won’t be sorry!

Very cozy. Everything you could think of was there. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time in Netarts, the beach house is very welcoming and comfortable, the view is superb and we enjoyed stunning sunsets. Thank you for having us!

We've stayed at quite a few properties along the coast over the years. We always choose one with a view and beach access. But this is the first one that we can definitively say that we'll be renting again. It's a gem. No property is ever perfect but the total package is just the best. Everything simply worked. A highlight was that the TV had Netflix and HBO all ready for you to go without having to tinker with anything. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked. And if you don't want to bring food with you - Tillamook Safeway is just 7 scenic miles away. And the views from the deck will make your soul sing.

The house was very neat, pretty, clean and relaxing. Finding baby gates was a big plus with our 1 yr. old grandson. The 3 very comfy bedrooms were upstairs, with a stackable washer and dryer readily available. However there was only one bathroom for a house that sleeps up to 8, and it was downstairs. Not convenient for us older folks. Other than that and the many (on property)stairs leading down to the beach, we all had a wonderful experience and one that will be remembered always. Our grandsons first experience with the ocean via the calm, clear waters of the bay and lovely beach while still getting the ocean effect across the spit was precious. Netarts is only 13 minutes from Tillamook so besides the local restaurant and convenience shops, we also loved the Blue Heron in Tillamook.

We loved this place! The location was beautiful, the house was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The stairs down to the beach were easy to navigate and well maintained. We spent our days crabbing in the bay, exploring the area and walking on the beach. The boat launch was very close to the house and the restaurant, The Schooner, that shares its parking lot is really excellent. We will be back to this spot!
4.8
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was welcoming and clean, with everything we needed. The view was gorgeous and access to the beach was great! We counted 85 steps. We’re looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful home with amazing views.

Can’t beat the view. Great windows. Super nice accommodations. 3 bedrooms with double beds. All with great views.
Only bathroom is downstairs by entry. Challenging to use the bathroom without disturbing sleepers on the sofa bed in the living room.
4.8
The house is lovely. The experience is unique. The neighborhood is very quiet. The bay is nice.
4.8
Our stay was absolutely perfect! Doug was very helpful in securing parking for us, we are traveling by RV. The private stairway for beach access.. so incredible! We enjoyed the walk to and from the beach almost as much as the beach itself. Gorgeous views. Comfortable accommodation. The only thing lacking was time.. our next booking will be a much lengthier stay! Thank you.

Great location! We loved the beach access! House worked great for our entire family!

Good place to stay
Great view. Very clean. Only one bathroom however. Also there is beach access. Would stay there again.

If this place only had one fork, I would stay here again
The view the view the view. And calm water (bay) for kids to play. Bring a kayak or stand up board. It's not for everyone. Know your limits. We are a family that MOVES, we LOVED the stairs and access to the beach. We love walking up and down. It's our thing. But some people might struggle with it. Note that there is only one bathroom (could be a problem for a large party). The deck is FANTASTIC. has brand new lawn furniture and you get so much sun on the deck. The sunsets left us speechless. The house has no carpet but wood floor and rugs (we love it, hate carpeting, it keeps it fresh). Great grill. We had full tank of gas (thank you, Doug). Older house, granted, but you can't beat location and the views. TVs work smart TVs. The house has a piano (which is in awesome shape and tuned, and there were 4 musicians among us. Nice surprise). Just grateful to experience Netarts for the first time. We are usually in Pacific city, but this was just a soul loving retreat.

Great view and location
The view and location of this property was spectacular, along with being pretty private and having easy access to the beach.
The property was well set up, but I don't believe this house has seen any updates or fixes since the images were posted as there were a number of little issues.
The front door was rotting out and could be pushed inward and flexed, which I would think would make it easy to break into.
The dishwasher in the kitchen wasn't properly installed or bolted into place, so when loading, it became very tippy and would lean forward, which was a concern as the dishes might break or the dishwasher could fall forward and potentially hurt someone.
The property only has one toilet. (the upstairs toilet is locked off and I never did find an outdoor shower). Not ideal for a group of 6. The property says it sleeps 11, but I think only 6 comfortably, and maybe one or two on the sofa, but not ideal.
The toilet had an issue with flushing and there was a laminated note to hold the lever down for 3 seconds. There were six of us sharing the bathroom and on the third day, the lever stopped working, so we had to remove the lid from the toilet tank and manually flush the toilet with the lever inside. After a day of that, the lever broke from the chain and we had to fish around for the chain inside the toilet tank. Less savvy travelers might not know to do this and it would make the toilet unusable.
The light switch in the third bedroom was broken and did not work, another laminated note explaining this.
Overall the place was clean, but there was stain on one bedsheet and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky on bare feet. Things seemed superficially cleaned and I was a bit disappointed since there is an extra cleaning fee and the listing posted specific cleaning protocols. The hoover onsite didn't really suck anything up so we had to use the wand and sweep.
If these items were fixed and there was some upkeep with the place, I would book again for a small group, but definitely no more than 6 and property would be better if the upstairs bathroom was opened up.
Unlike other reviews, I found Doug to be quite responsive when I emailed with questions and concerns.

My family and I did a Seaside to Florence vacation with two nights scheduled in several places. After our checkout with Doug we went to our second location. We checked out after one night there and asked Doug if we could come back and he said yes!! Next time we hope to spend our entire vacation at his property!!

Great house, with all the bay to watch.
A couple of observations: the info sent by the owner needs updating, e. g., the whereabouts of the WiFi password (it's on the fridge door; there is no 3-ring binder) and how to get into the house (lots of old info?); there was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper--nothing on the bathroom shelf marked supplies (we had to buy more); there are spilled potato chips in a lower cabinet in the kitchen.
Nonetheless, we'll likely book again. Maybe these small things will be addressed by then.

The communication with the owner was subpar to say the least. I had several questions and each time I reached out after a delayed response The owner was short with me and acted as if my questions were unnecessary and his tone was that of a person speaking to a small child.
I first reached out because the checkin information was not available on the app and I had not received an email.
The response from the owner was that I should look in my junk email. He did resend the information and it did go to my junk email.
Part of the information he sent in a 16 page pdf file included key entry information that was incorrect, wifi information that was incorrect and referenced finding a binder on the property that did not exist.
After emailing about that I received a response the next day to look on the refrigerator (we had figured it out on our own by then).
Two of the beds were also extremely uncomfortable with very old mattresses.
The view was amazing and it was very clean.
I would not stay there again however given the attitude I received from the owner. It was not an inexpensive rental either.

I chose this property for the view, which was amazing. I never received any check in or check out instructions. I called the owner upon arrival to get in. The deck is nice but very little yard area for the dog & no fence if you are bringing a pet. The stairs to the beach are very steep & once you get there, you must climb over a lot of rocks. If you are older it might not be ideal. You need to watch the tide as there is very little beach when the tide is in. 3 bedrooms upstairs & 1 bathroom down was a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. Beds are not very comfortable & advise you bring your own pillow. Comforters are down if you have allergies. I was happy to find fans in 2 of the bedrooms. Area rugs would be nice near the doors downstairs..
We stayed 4 nights & ran out of toilet paper & garbage bags. Besides that the Kitchen was well stocked yet a bit awkward away from the living area. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunset. Again the view is the biggest asset for this property.

Overall great beach cottage. Location is on the north end of bay so you get to enjoy the bay and ocean beaches easily. Views from living, dining and two bedrooms were great. Feels very private but is less than two blocks from store. Great info and directions from owner. Because we booked last minute, some issues with cleaning service, but owner was super responsive and took care of it immediately. We were thrilled with this last minute find and would definitely stay here again!
