Vilcabamba get away

The hosts were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. There are 4 rental units, all different. We were originally booked into one that was very nice but with no view and asked if we could change. They switched us to an upper unit with incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. The property is an easy walk from town but is up a hill so it feels rural and the views!! We also appreciated the use of the washing machine.

It wasn’t clear to me on booking.com that the units were so different. It would be worth your while to confirm with the hosts which unit you have booked.

Beautiful, design, kitchen and gardens. Happy place to stay.

A beautiful property, designed and decorated well with a big space. A great kitchen and walking distance to town. Lovely gardens and very helpful hosts.

AMAZINGLY AWESOME

I love the grounds and the room was so well put together. It's a little fully functioning apartment. Wifi, tv, Netflix, drinkable water and so very quiet. Access to a washer and dryer was so convenient. This place is a shear gem. The host, Richard, is so accommodating

I didn't like that I had to leave. 😿

A home away from home.

Daniel has a pet cat and she is very friendly and affectionate. As a cat lover this was a bonus. Daniel's cat does not impose upon people, but if you like cats she will come to you. The accommodation was very clean.

Alpha House is a great place to stay in Vilcabamba!

Our stay was wonderful! The hosts were friendly, helpful and informative. The Alpha House location is perfect - close to town, but on a beautiful private property with trees, flowers, birds and butterflies. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and evenings were quiet and peaceful. We hope to return for another visit in the future!

Everything was great! We just wish we could have stayed longer!

Missing Alpha chalet.

We stayed in the chalet it is the most charming and beautiful cottage, actually spacious and very solidly built. The garden areas are beautiful and we were able to eat some oranges that were juicy and delicious. We walked to the center of town everyday, the area and scenery are quite spectacular. Our visits with Richard were warm and so interesting, I hope we will return!!

Wonderful little apartment

Very comfortable apartment, kitchen was well stocked, even had some spices and cooking oil! Very quiet peaceful location. Easy 10 minute walk to town. Use of a washer and dryer!

No view from our apartment but nice view from the roof. Bugs were bad when we visited.

This place is an absolute gem!

Richard helped us get settled and was available for all of our questions about Ecuador and the area around Vilcabamba. He speaks fluent English. We loved all of the custom touches in the house - the woodwork, colorful paint and decorative tile and stone. And the garden is beautiful, too. The property is a short walk from town. Very highly recommended!

Stayed here 3 years ago for 3 days. Length of my stay this time was 2 weeks. Need I say more?

10 minute walk downhilll into town. 15 minute walk back uphill. $1.50 taxi to and from town center. There have been several improvements, including use of washer and dryer, overall hot water capabilities, etc. And the host family is an exceptional one. Alpha House would be THE place for a long term stay in Vilcabamba.

Great stay in a lovely place

The chaletcito was beautifully constructed and very comfortable for our week stay. Hot water was reliable and internet was good. Hosts were kind and helpful. The garden is also beautiful and full of fruit trees which we were told to help ourselves to ripe fruits. It is a short walk from town, but far enough to feel like a tranquil area. Really enjoyed our time in this place and would definitely recommend it!

Exceptional

We loved the mountain views, that it was walkable to downtown but quiet and secluded up the mountain a bit, and a great cozy space.

Cozy house with amazing mountain views

The whole stay was perfect. The house is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We loved the stunning views from the living room on to the mountains. The hosts were super welcoming and helpful whenever needed. We would definitely return to this wonderful and peaceful place. Highly recommended if you stay in Vilcabamba!

An amazing new concept, that I would do again in a heartbeat.

The location was perfect. It was close enough to walk and not too far away that the taxi would take about 5 minutes to get to the centre of town. It was nice knowing and having that extra security with the landlord and his family living on sight. They were always there to help out, answer questions or ring a cab for us. It was nice and quiet, spacious. The shower was bliss.
