About this villa rental
BORGO PION is a domain of about 60 units, built against the Monte Baldo, and has many different levels. Not a house is the same in shape or color. They are often switched and appearance inspired by the ruins of the 12th century village near Campo.
The domain has a common fence, landscaped gardens and a beautiful swimming pool with changing rooms and showers and a panoramic view over the lake.
It lies just across the road from the Lake Garda, in Castelletto di Brenzone, between Riva and Garda.
HOUSE
The house is spacious, detached and consists of a living / dining room, a large basement with seating area and satellite TV, a well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms with shower and toilet and three 2-person bedrooms. The property is centrally heated.
GARDEN
The garden is fenced and covers a total of approximately 300 m2, divided into different levels. There are old olive trees and oleanders and quite a lot of stairs and steps (think small children!).
Next to the house is a spacious garden area with garden table / umbrella, overlooking the lake. At various other places, one can sit in sun or shade, as also in the indoor semi-open stone gallery diagonally above the house.
GARAGE
A little above the house is a lockable garage for 1 car available.

ENVIRONMENT
The travel distance from Utrecht is 1200 km. Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy and a total of about 60 km long. It is surrounded by the foothills of the Dolomites. Castelletto di Brenzone is located about 20 km south of Riva (north point v / h more) against Monte Baldo. In nearby Malcesine (15 min.) A large gondola goes up to 1750 m. Here one summer hiking and winter skiing.
The ridges on both sides of the lake provide what is called a 'micro-climate', which not only olive trees and oleanders, but palms and lemon trees can thrive here.
On this (northern) part of the lake in addition it blows very often and regularly, making the summer good sailing / windsurfing and moreover called something less.
Castelletto di Brenzone is one of several typical old villages along the coast; a small fishing harbor, some restaurants, a few shops. Coincidentally is also a large sailing club. The village is reached by foot along the lake in 10 minutes.
Torri del Benaco and Malcesine are small towns about 15 minutes (car) away. Here it is nice shopping in quaint old shop streets. Again, harbors and terraces.
Garda is a bit touristy. Here, near the lake wider and there is more room for development (and sites). Garda is a lovely town with many shops and restaurants. Here, and along the southern shore of the lake you will find many campsites and holiday parks, but also major theme parks such as Gardaland and Canevaworld.
Verona is one of the most beautiful northern Italian cities, of course, known for its beautiful Roman arena, where all summer famous operas are performed. Incidentally, a beautiful old town with plenty of sights (Juliet's house -which Romeo) and nice shops.

nice house and location for 6 people. 5 min from lake 10 min from pool. nice.

House was lovely, spacious and well presented and the area was great to explore. The views were spectacular from the house. A few minor negatives was the distance to the pool, however amazing when you got there, lots of steps too from the car garage, however overall a wonderful stay, thank you Sam.

The view from the terras to the lake is fantastic. If I should mention one negative point it would be the distance from the house to the swimming pool. When the temperature is 30+ you don’t want to walk 6 minutes up hill before entering the pool.
Communication with fam.Muller was okay. Quick and clear answers were given.
We had a great stay at Lago di Garda- Brenzone sur Garda

Fantastic stay in a mega beautiful house, with a lovely view of Lake Garda.
The house is close to the lake and the pool area is in a class of its own.
However, you must be good on your feet as it is located with many stairs and steep climbs, especially to and from the pool area.
The house fully lives up to the description and expectations. There is also a separate closed garage for the car.
Dialogue with the owner/landlord is great and the response is quick. All in all, a place that must be experienced, it will not be the last time we go to the house.

Easy and enjoyable to get into the village. Stayed one week.

We came with our large family to relax. Just water, sun and relax. The house is really beautiful, especially because the property is quite large and you have everything to yourself. The house is beautifully decorated. Everything is clean. I read that it wasn't suitable for small children, but I felt very comfortable there with my 20-month-old son, who could just walk. Of course, you always have to watch out for a small child, everywhere. The housekeeper is incredibly likeable. We really enjoyed our time there.

This is a special and convenient place to stay. It's close to the lake, so easy to get to the little beach for a swim. It's in easy walking distance, along the lake shore path, to the port with restaurants, bars and convenience shops, plus a lovely trattoria in the village. It's worth noting that the lake shore path runs a long way beside the lake so you can avoid walking on the road. The bus stops close to the house for easy transport up and down the lake. The house is spacious with a great view of the lake and the quirky nature of the garden, with the gallery (a good place to watch lightning storms!) makes it very special. The shared pool is just as in the photos, a large pool with three sections and not very busy when we were there. Great view of the lake and mountains from the pool area. It's good to have the use of the garage if you have a car. Lots of activities in the area such as mountain biking from Malcesine (rent bikes and take the gondola up the mountain), kite surfing/paddle boarding etc, walking tracks, boat rides to various villages/towns on the lake. A couple of things to be aware of in case it is relevant to you: there are steps to access the house, as mentioned in the details; there is some noise from the road so if you're a light sleeper take ear plugs for hot summer nights when you have the windows open. Overall it is a lovely place to stay and a good base for exploring the area.

Tolles Ferienhaus

This is a charming house with private garden and a great view. The pool is phantastic.
The house is located few steps away from the lake and has an excess to the beach. Everything is well organized.

'On the lake' and 'in seclusion private' splendor!
Our family had a wonderful stay. The house is loved and well taken care of.
Plenty of space for a family of 4. In fact, we did not use one of the three bedrooms (no need) upstairs, or the 'game/bedroom' in the sub-level!! Bathrooms on both levels, and a washing machine area (a necessity when traveling with children).
Very functional kitchen (with all necessities) with inside as well as outside dinning area (where we spent most of the time while at the house) with fantastic views.
The lake is about 100 meters away (across road), with walkways of 10km in either direction.
Geographically, for us it is perfectly situated roughly between the south and north ends of the lake, without the busy tourist crowds. This made it perfect for quiet days at home, or 1/2 day outings to Torbole, Riva del Garda, Malscesine, Peschera del Garda, etc.
And on the 'home' days - I cannot express how much the children loved the 3-teir endless triple pool with its dream like views of the lake! Quiet, serene, and invigorating.
The nearest market is less than 5 mins away (by car); Malcesine is an easy 20 min drive north.
The house is part of a 'gated - private' community, We were greeted by the proprietor of the hotel down the road (who also lives in the community); with clear explanation of the area as well as complete assistance when it was needed (never had issues to though!).
Overall - fantastic!!! We would like to return soon!
The only thing to consider, is that there two access ways to the house, either coming down stairs (longer 100m), or up a cobble path (shorter 30m) - which would make it difficult for those with mobility issues.
Internet connectivity works, not fast, but this is not why we are at the lake!
The owners are splendid and always quick to respond. I only regret that we did not have a chance to meet them!
We miss you Castelletto di Brenzone!

Very nice house, lovely swimming pools and beautiful view but near very busy road
The house is very nice with good sized bedrooms and the lovely swimming pools are on a higher level with stunning views across the lake. However, the house is very close to the lake side road and there is a lot of traffic which does die down at night but seemed to be pretty constant at all other times.

"ons huis"
Voor de zesde keer in dit huis.....!!! [in een tijdsbestek van 10 jaar]
Voelt als thuis komen. Lijkt niet op een vakantiehuis maar echt op een tweede huis van vrienden waar je een keer mag verblijven.
Authentiek dorpje waar je je meteen thuis voelt. Als je na het derde verblijf, na twee jaar, de bocht van het haventje omkomt krijg je bij ieder restaurant en terras een hand. Vooralsnog voor ons uniek!

Top location with a top view
The first thing that will strike you, when you arrive at this lovely holiday home is the stunning view of the Garda Lake. Situated on the northern, more rugged part of the lake side, the view shows of lake trapped between steep mountainsides, reminiscent of Norwegian fjords.
The house itself is spacious and extremely well equipped. The bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and TV basement give you more than enough space if you should wish to stay inside. but the mysterious garden, with its fantastic views will invite you to spend as much time outside as possible. The garden is actually a number of gardens at different levels, each with its own specific character. The most exciting part is the gallery, a covered walkway with arched supports, with reclining seats, giving a superb view of the lake below, all private.
The holiday home itself is part of a group of houses, sharing some facilities, like the most fantastic pool area, with 3 pools overlooking the lake.
The location couldn't be much better. Situated within 50 meters of the lake, where a footpath allows you to go for a stroll up to the village of Castelleto, no car is needed for the local shopping and dining. Bread and groceries are available at two local shops. A wide selection of nice restaurants are arranged around the harbour or in the old village slightly up the mountain. And a number of bars offer you good espressos and cappuccinos. There is even an ice cream parlour which makes a nice evening stroll.
Is everything then perfect? No, there are some things worth mentioning. The holiday home is slightly up the mountain. The pool is definitely a bit of a climb. Anyone not having strong legs and good knees will suffer.
Parking is not easy. There is a public parking where you can park up on the mountain and apparently it is possible to park on the road below, though in our case that led to an interesting discussion with the local law enforcement. Consequently, unloading shopping and unpacking the car upon arrival is a challenge.
It gets hot in summer time in the area. And the heat gets into the house. There are some ceiling ventilators, but the nights will be sweltering and restless.
Should these downsides keep you from booking this holiday home? Absolutely not! The inconveniences do not come even close to outweighing the upsides. Imagine yourself sitting with a glass of chilled wine overlooking the lake while the sun is setting. It gives you the perfect holiday feeling.

Great holidays by the Garda Lake
We can strongly recommend this Holiday house at the shore of Lake Garda.
It's a new and well functioning house, where you find everything in perfect order. The communication with the owners was very kind, helpful and professional all along.
You share a large swimmingpool with other tenants from a compound of 25-30 houses, but it never seemed to be crowded.
Some 500 meters away one will find a little port with restaurants and shops, whereas one will have to go to Garda or Bardolino to find a night life.
We would recommend a boat trip on the lake and/or visits to Verona, Mailand and Venice.
Best wishes from
Bruun Family, Denmark.
