Surprised place
Cosenza indeed surprised my husband and me. It is quite small but so intensive with historical sites. I love the structure of this building, like a maze, there is a new view of this town in every corner of this accommodation. Amazing sunset view up on the hill and by the river, I met the best sunset view ever here. The host is well-English-speaking and friendly and helpful and all other good words for him. The dining room is a treasure, an original vintage historical kitchen built long time ago.

Great experience + supporting local legit kind ppl
Host’s Franco and Patrizia are lovely caring souls!!They insisted to came pick me up (though there was Joy a very enthusiastic slightly hid puppy!). The room I found the room I was given very comfortable and had everything except kitchen, such as desk to work, space to walk, big bathroom, windows for breeze and first class bed. Didn’t ask for price difference, but there’s room where kitchen is provided. The position is wonderful, right under Palazzo Arnone and in the hart of the old town center though even the modern side is just at 10 min walk. The property is surrounded by a delightful garden with a century plus pine tree and friendly cats! The spirit and kindness of the hosts was so appreciated. Especially in this day and age where some not that nice intrinsic dynamics happened to play. I highly recommend this place. I think that even in rooms where kitchen is not provided, host would be available to prepare some extra or indue a kitchen class. The place is very convenient for whom from Amalfi and Cilento coasts or Basilicata want to reach Sicily or Inoic sea and Gioia gulfs

Definitely an awesome experience to see how people lived years and years ago. History lovers will be in their element.
The property was lovely in the sense it was like walking into a time warp. The decor, smell, layout were all 100% believable that it was built centuries ago. The lady who welcomed us was very sweet but couldn’t speak English - in fact, no one in the town can speak English except for a few words here and there. Everything was laid out very well, the bed was comfortable, bathrooms were nice, they have a really nice, strong hairdryer.
The pillows on the bed were super flat. I travel with a pillow, but for someone who likes a fatter pillow to sleep with, that would be a problem. We had the whole play to ourselves, so it was lovely. But I gathered that if there was another guest booked into one of the other rooms, they would be sharing the place with us, which isn’t very different to a hotel, except that there is no lobby. So if that other person is a weirdo, you’re sleeping in the same house with that weirdo and no one is around to help if there is a problem.

Friendly hosts, good place for young people.
The breakfast was good with homemade jam.
It would have been good to know beforehand that there were many stairs to climb, not good for an elderly couple. Place was hard to find.

Superb
You feel like visiting relatives at their home. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, even though we did not speak the same language. We were visiting during the rainy day, but there is also a beautiful old garden.
The house is old, so don't expect fancy new equipment or furniture. But this is what makes the place so special.

Welcoming hosts, Truely an unforgettable Calabrese experience. Must stay here!
Stay here if you want a true Italian experience. The couple that run this B & B are the definition of hospitality. I stayed here with my mother for 2 days, while visiting her hometown of Grimaldi. Our Journey to get to the B & B was not a smooth one, we missed our train, could not get a bus to take us into town and among a few other things. We called Franko & Patricia (who own Old Garden) and then drove out to the station and picked us up, they made a reservation for us at a nearby restaurant (which was the best food I have eaten) and helped us with our luggage. Our room had a beautiful view of Cosenza and was quite peaceful to sleep in. In the morning they made us Cappuccinos, served us toast with homemade jam. Franko shared with us some of his homemade prosciutto and Salami and even offered us some of his special Limoncello. They told all the places to see and when we came back from our daytrip they offered to make us dinner. I have never been treated so kindly by any other hotel, B & B or Airbnb host. These people have hearts of gold. They even dropped us off at the train station, and made sure that we got on the right train. I will forever be thankful for their kindness and generosity, I not only recommend that you stay here, I don’t think you'll have a proper calabrese experience without staying here. But I do warn you, Franko does talk a lot so your conversations might be a little one sided ;)
