Great place to stay, plenty of room, great location

We enjoyed our stay! The mountain views, green outlook and cosy fireplace were highlights. A couple of things could be improved: the green sofas don’t offer much support, and one kitchen table leg needs securing. Overall, a lovely house for an intergenerational family holiday.

4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night getaway. A bedroom each plus lots of communal space. The weather was scorching hot but the air conditioning and ceiling fans were terrific. Enough crockery, cutlery, glassware etc for (I’d say) 10 people.
The weather limited our outdoor activities but we managed a morning walk to Venus Baths rock pools, a delicious dinner at HG Hotel, breakfast in town one morning and coffee another day.
We were delighted with the wallabies, magpies and cockatoos who visited.
An excellent venue! Would thoroughly recommend.

A lovely place to stay clean comfortable and well-equipped pleasant walk into Halls Gap. To add a touch to the property we'd suggest some soap in the showers and soap and hand towel in the laundry. we had a lovely stay thank you.

Lovely home. Loved that the living and kitchen areas were separate from bedrooms. Location was outstanding. Great area for hikes and walks.

We had a good time in Halls Gap with our kids. The house is a bit older but offers enough space and even wildlife in the backyard. The cleaning was okay but some parts would need a deep clean - especially the kitchen drawers.

Quite location with a wonderful fireplace. Everything we needed was there.

The house was great, beds were comfortable and warm, the fire place didnt give out much heat,i think flue due for a clean,we had to use split system to get house warm.
The property overall was great, great location, just lacked a few things, not very clean ,cutlery, glasses, plates dirty, hand soap nearly empty in each bathroom and what was in there it was watered down soap. Under cupboard in bathrooms need a good wipe ,dirty, some complementary, soap ,shampoo and conditoner would have been nice too. No face washer, tissues provide almost empty box when we arrived. It was a great house just lacked a few basic things that would have made the stay more enjoyable. It the owners have a paid cleaner i think they need to look for another or if they are doing it themselves then maybe they could use a professional cleaner. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, for a older house it is well maintained just the lack of cleanliness let it down and not a very efficient fire place was disappointing.

Well situated, easy walking distance to shops, cultural centre, many walking trails. Beautiful bush surrounds and bird life to see from the deck or out the windows. Kitchen well stocked for cooking facilities, home a little low on ‘start up products’ but a very comfortable stay, especially over a very hot week! Beds and rooms also comfortable and well appointed. Great living space for lounging during the heat of the day. Great stay! Much thanks!

We had a very quiet and comfortable stay. We were able to cook our own food and relax in separate areas or together with space to lounge around. Strong hot shower, comfy beds and a reasonable walk to town.

Lovely home, great size for our ladies puzzle group, quiet spot in the hills, we were nice and warm with fire and split system, toilet area not suited to larger people, but was

This house is well equipped and well designed with the bedrooms away from the living area. The living area is very spacious with two separate sitting areas with couches in each area. The TV was in one area while the other was a sitting area with a coffee table. The host was very easy to deal with and instructions were excellent.

This property was beautiful in the magnificent surrounds of the Grampians. A spacious and very comfortable home that suited our family. We loved the deck looking out to the surrounds and were blessed with kangaroos grazing every night and cockatoos and rosellas most mornings.
Would definately recommend and return to Waratah Cottage.

Absolutely loved this place and will definitely stay again. Gorgeous yard and views, surprisingly spacious house with everything we needed. Quiet, warm, cosy and comfy. It could be just because we were finally let out of lockdown 🤪 but we just loved every second of this getaway!

We love this place, and come back every 2 or 3 years. It's perfectly positioned between Halls Gap and the dam, for a great afternoon walk. There are enough couches for us to really spread out, and it's so warm.

The house is in a nice quiet area and only a stones through from the ctr of town. The house has plenty of seating and enough crockery and cutlery for everyone. The house could do with a good spring clean as there is a few areas noticeable that need cleaning like the toilet roll holder in the shower room as a build up of dirt on the top of it and there was hair still in one of the showers. The beds were clean and comfortable over all we had a good stay.

A beautiful, peaceful haven surrounded by stunning trees. Even though we had close neighbours we didn’t hear them.Having a wood fire with the wood supplied added not just warmth but character to this gem. You do however need the split system going as it gets cold.Loved our first holiday away.Thank you for sharing your beautiful haven with us.Karyn
