The resort is in its own private area which was super nice & lovely. Our property was super clean & had everything we needed; kitchen had everything to be able to cook, towels, rags etc. We were there for our son’s 1st birthday to celebrate. It was so lovely. Our neighbors were friendly & so were the staff. Everything was explanatory when we arrived to check in, how to get in the house, where everything is located & how to check out.
Nothing really I can think of in all honesty.

The pool was nice, room was clean, nice thick towels
The listing (Deluxe Villa) is not accurate, there isn’t a separate bedroom, it is a studio although bedroom is mentioned in the ad. Also there is not a closet or wardrobe (as stated), just a small dresser, no where to hang anything. We felt the pictures were very deceiving as the angles made it appear there was a bedroom. There was a small patio out back but the pollen debris coming off the tree made it impossible to sit there, we literally had to sweep off our car every day. We complained but the owner was on vacation, the manager said well they were booked and she couldn’t have moved us anyway. We left early, would not recommend.

Quiet. Comfortable. Great location on the water.
The AC vent was directly above our heads while in bed. Low ceilings so hitting our heads pretty hard. Just our particular dislike, not a game changer. We will be back.

Very nice and cozy and clean. Lots of palm trees and shade. Our cottage and the pool was like a little paraise. The price is very reasonable.
If we could have stayed longer.

Loved the house, very clean, comfortable, and updated. Owners were awesome! They got us whatever we needed for the home, and helped us with any questions we had about things we wanted to do. It was quiet and relaxing, loved the pool, and the fishing. I would definetley stay there again.

It is a very comfortable relaxing place. It was too windy to use any of the water crafts.
The TV needs to be larger.

Loved having our own building. The bed was great and we slept well each night. Loved having a kitchen with refrigerator and microwave and it was pretty well stocked with basic tools. There is a dock with a couple patio areas to sit and relax, watch the birds and occasional boat and enjoy sunset over the trees. Matt was always friendly and called all guests by name. Staff very accessible 9-7 if needed anything. The fish restaurant at the end of the road was GREAT!
We never found a way to turn on the lights above the bar area in kitchen, table lamps by couch were lower wattage and hard to see to read anything, need 3-way?), toilet seat shifted when wiping and it was always a surprise (and the screws were tight), slats above porch needed screwed into its frame, no seeums were prevalent. When checking in we signed papers that gave the property authority to charge to us any damages they may find. We worried about this because there was some wear on bathroom vanity (vinyl coating not attached and could have easily been snagged or ripped on the door and drawer), baseboards scuffed, no door stops so possibility of bashing the drywall. We were concerned about what might be billed to us. Uneasy feeling.

We loved the location! It wasn't too far out of the way, but felt secluded and quiet. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. And, the entire property is charming and well kept up!

Cabin was clean, quiet and comfortable.
We weren't told there was no local tv. A big deal with the nfl playoffs on. The biggest problem, a very big problem, was the pool was not usable all week. The heater was either broken or set too low. We were told it because of cooler weather. However all week the temps were upper 60's at night and 80's every day. The pool should have been warmer and usable.

This was a very nice place to stay! we would gladly go back when we get a chance to do so!

A quiet and very clean cottage that had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen and bath were well equipped with all the necessities. Situated next to the Manatee River, the lovely deck/dock area was the perfect spot to fish or relax under a pergola with a good book and a glass of wine. This is not an upscale resort, but it is a charming, quaint and romantic place to stay.
You have to drive through an older trailer park community as Pirates Pointe is at the very end but don't let that bother you because the resort is very private. GPS also has you turning down 18th street.. don't.. turn down 19th street and the resort is at the end of the street.
