This beautiful apartment was great. What you read and what you see in the add is what you get. The view from the balcony is enchanting, Maria, the manager is taking care of us from before our arrival to our departure. She helped us plan our visits all over the island 😍. We will keep magical memories of this family trip, filled with quality time.
Thank you so much ❤️

Beautiful beach a 10 minute walk from a perfect, calm and cozy apartment. Plenty of outdoor living space and easy to catch a ride to wherever you'd need to go. Not for those who have limited mobility, but for our group it was perfect.

Property was clean and accurately described and Pat responded promptly to all our queries. Fernanda, the property manager, was welcoming and the referral to Lloyd for aeroport pickup and car rental was most helpful. The information sheet with email and telephone numbers was useful. Kimberly checked on our housekeeping needs and provided clean towels.
The location was perfect for us, and the internet speed was good for our son who was there on business. A perfect vacation for us.

We've spent 10 days at Pat's appartment last January and it was perfect to break with coldness of Europe.
Size of the appartment was good for my 3 yo son, my husband and I. And the location (about in the middle of the west coast, with a peaceful neighborhood) was ideal to visit all the Island easily.
Pat was very helpful to organize our arrival (including airport transfer and some shopphing to start), car rental etc.
We clearly recommand it and will definitly miss the view and the colibri visiting the garden every morning...

This was the fourth time we stayed in the apartment and it was as good as ever. The owner updates the place with what is needed and the maid, Kimberly, could not be more helpful. We have already booked our next visit at the apartment.

Having had a return visit of 5 weeks stay at Gone to the Beach, we still feel it’s a good area to be in with easy access to the rest of the island. A very well equipped apartment for those who like to self cater. We did have a problem with the plunge pool which took a fair while to sort but once fixed all was well. Kimberly the house keeper is a delight. Nothing is too much trouble and she also recommends some very good places to eat out. I felt the manager of the property let the side and didn’t keep one up to date with what was going on. Barbados is a beautiful island with lots to offer.

The property is clean and area quiet. Some initial issues with the wifi access, but were soon rectify. Transportation is a must and Lloyd was very helpful in connecting us with airport pick up, to accommodate additional luggage. The housekeeper Kimberly was extremely friendly and nice and acted as a liasion when Fernada was ill. There is little or no activity in the immediate surrounding neighborhood, however, be mindful of vehicles speeding up and down the main road when exiting the property. Overall, I would visit this property again and recommend it to others.

It was a wonderful stay 😍
The communication with Pat in advance was great and there was even a little surprise from her for the wedding. We were so pleased 🥰
And thanks to her tip we had the perfect wedding in Barbados.
You will find everything you need in the flat, Kimberly cleaned to perfection several times a week.
The best thing is the terrace, the most beautiful I have ever had. The view, the pool, everything just perfect ❤️
The only suggestion for improvement:
Curtains on the left side would be great. So you are protected from the eyes of the neighbours 😉
Unfortunately, the communication with Fernanda was not so great.
But we still got along fine. We will definitely come back!

Our trip start to finish was wonderful. The property exceeded our expectations. Everything was extremely clean, the amenities were more than adequate and the host(s)- Pat, Fernanda and Kimberly were a pleasure. It was our friends 40th birthday and Fernanda was so accomodating! I had requested that we have some rum and a few snacks when we arrived as a little surprise. She had balloons, rum and mix and a fridge full of groceries. She was there to meet us on arrival and did a walk through of the property. We did have a small hiccup with one of the ac units not working but she had someone in fix it very quickly. We used Lloyd to rent a car, the rates were very reasonable, they provided pick up and drop off at the airport and the car was perfect. All 4 of us agreed we would be returning here on our next Barbados visit ❤️ Thank you to everyone for making it exactly what we wanted and needed

We enjoyed our stay at Pat’s lovely condo. We had all the comforts of home. The condo was always cleaned to perfection by Kimberley. When we had a question or concern, it was dealt with promptly. We will certainly recommend Pats property to others. The location is quiet with a wonderful view of the ocean. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us.

Excellent communication throughout . Pats place “gone to the beach” has all required for comfortable stay . Sitting listening to the birds , crickets on the balcony looking at the sea with morning coffee a great start to the day . Everything provided for cooking and I’m driving distance for lovely food . We would definitely recommend a car for ease and exploring , Lloyd whom pat recommended .. brilliant service indeed . The jerk chicken place up from Thunder Bay .. delicious food , the round house over near Bathsheba , great food wild sea views. Sea shed for a treat , Thai shrimp curry , wow . Sun beds at Thunder Bay furthest to the left cheaper than anyway , quieter and Devon and his mum marlene lovely , great fish cakes . Coming back after exploring , eating , swimming to our home from home .. fabulous .. thanks Pat

We had a weeks stay at the apartment Had a lovely stay not too far from Holetown in one direction and Speightstown in the other. We found some hidden Gems, places to eat and drink. Really enjoyed the outside space too. Hope to return

As so many previous reviews have said of Pat’s apartment, a real home from home in the best possible way! Location is great with some of the best beaches and restaurants only minutes away. The garden and plunge pool provide a gorgeous little sanctuary, we loved it and would certainly recommend.
Contact with Pat the owner, house manager and housekeeper all extremely friendly and helpful. We hope to be returners!

Barbadian Natural Beauty Treasure
With a lovely sea view in the distance, this lovely apartment boasts an ensemble of nature all around. With the green throated Carib flitting around, nesting bananquits to the side, anole lizards scurrying about and scaly-naped pigeons cooing near by. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. And the team and owner so wonderfully attentive. The beach is nearby and the splash pool is perfect to cool down after the healthy ascend from the beach to the apartment.

Charming apartment
We had a lovely two weeks stay. Property was private, well maintained and well designed. AC, Internet, water pressure all good, lots of towels replaced twice weekly. Property manager Lisa was lovely and accessible. Foldable beach chairs and umbrella were appreciated and saved us $15 daily on rental fees from the beach vendors. Kitchen well equipped but limited prep area. We only prepared breakfast there anyway and spend our time exploring the island and eating out.
We watched CNN and CBC in the evening.
Car is a must, no shopping or restaurants nearby, perhaps more amenities before Covid? There was a small convenience store at the bottom of the street, with very unpredictable opening hours. We purchased groceries in Holetown Massy's, less than 10 minutes drive, they have a decent deli with cooked foodstuffs to take home.
Reeds Bay is a lovely, all sand and very scenic beach, snorkeling opportunities abound but don't forget to bring the float to stay visible, there is a boat/seadoo traffic on the water.
We ate at Waffle Haus nearby, loved it, few beach huts offering cooked food, we found it mediocre and expensive.
For dining we recommend: Fisherman's Pub and Just Grilling (cheap/moderate) Fish Pot, Local and Nishi (moderate/expensive).
Food served at local attractions was tasty and affordable, we loved fish cakes at Animal Flower, book in advance.
I suggest picking maps, brochures, and magazines at the airport Info Centre, goldmine of info.
If you are an animal lover, try to visit Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary. Founder Karen and employees are great, and rescue cats and dogs are very social and loving. (We ended up adopting a pup, she returned home with us, and doing great here in Canada).
Have fun!

Wish we could stay forever!❤
Absolutely loved our stay at "gone to the beach" there's not a single thing we would change. Loved our little walk to the beach every morning being greeted by the friendly locals it really feels like you are part of the community.thunder bay beach has to be one of the best on island, After a hard day at the beach we would relax in the plunge pool with a rum watching the monkeys and humming birds, honestly never felt so relaxed in years and we can't wait to return.thanks pat for letting us rent your stunning home❤

Frugal with the truth
The property was certainly not as described as being a luxury apartment, plunge pool in my opinion is a waste of space, either make it a jacuzzi or make the space more open for people move around the patio, my biggest issue with the place is the location it’s definitely not a 5 minutes walk to Reeds Bay, the road you’d walk down is dangerous. I cannot agree with some of the comments that have been left on this property by previous holiday makers.

Fabulous
Such a beautiful property with fantastic views to wake up to every morning. An abundance of wildlife with birds and monkeys coming to visit us.
Pat was a fabulous host from the moment we booked, she called half an hour later to welcome us, Pat arranged for transfers, car hire and to stop off at the supermarket to get supplies, nothing was too much trouble.
We would highly recommend this beautiful apartment and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for a wonderful time.

A Gem
The apartment was wonderfully and thoughtfully furnished/equipped down to the smallest detail
Excellent location, close to the best beaches with restaurants and shops not too far away. Regular/fast bus services along the west coast if you have no car.
Kim cleaned and serviced the accommodation thoroughly and on a regular basis.
Highly recommended.

Excellent
Everything about this property can be summarized by one word - excellent. The rental is beautifully decorated, extremely well appointed (my wife and I cooked every night and had everything we could possibly need) and has gorgeous views from a large deck that allows you take in the sunset every evening. Communication with the owner was excellent and the property manager, Fernanda, was exceedingly helpful (the cable TV was not working and she had it replaced the next day!). Finally, Kim keeps the place spotless and sanitized. Thanks to all for a great stay.

Lovely property on hill with ocean view
We rented the apartment as a warm getaway for my wife’s birthday.
The place is well appointed with nice furniture, lovely decor, large mirrors, making it a warm living space. We totally enjoyed the plunge pool and patio space too.

Our home away from home
This was the third time we spent our vacation in the apartment. The view from the patio is aboslutely stunning and you find everything you need in the apartment. The plunge pool is an extra plus, the wifi is fast and this time we could do some distance work. We highly recommend it and we will be back.

Perfect for spot for couples.
Great location for seeing the island. Everything was as we expected. Spent most of our time on the patio, great to have the plunge pool. Evenings, drink in hand spent watching the fireflies and listening to the tree frogs sing. Beautifully furnished, very clean thanks to the lovely Kimberly who came in twice a week. We would stay again.

Great stay not far from the beach
Great value for your money, awesome amenities (loved the plunge pool), and place was equipped with bug nets to allow for us to keep doors opened if we wanted. Housekeeper sent twice a week to clean, and the property manager was super easy to get a hold of!

A wonderful apartment, spectacular views best equipped let we have ever stayed at. Even better than we thought, the first impression when we arrived was how nice the apartment smelled and how clean it was. Then the views and plunge pool.

Home Away From Home
The property is in a great location being a short distance from the Beach with Holetown and Speightstown just a short drive away. The property is beautiful and is in a very quiet area where you always feel safe and secure. This is our second time staying at Gone to the Beach and we would have no hesitation in recommending a 'Home Away From Home' vacation staying at Gone to the Beach in beautiful Barbados!

First I want to say a big Thank You to Pat for allowing me to stay at her home & to Fernanda the house manager who was a gem to work with. Pat also made booking seamless. My grand-daughter turned 8 years old & wanted a sleepover with her bestfriend; Gone to the Beach was the perfect place. The 2 girls loved their room with the 2 beds. Me & my niece stayed in the second one. These rooms while warm & welcoming, were still extremely spacious. We were pleasantly surprised that what you see in relation to the pictures posted of the house is what you get. I would venture further to say that the pictures doesn't do the home justice; it is beautiful and is tastefully decorated. Although the home is one of 4 apartments, your space is yours & there is no intrusion. There is a beautiful garden area where the kids (or adults) can play although to be honest, there wasn't much need for it as I am convinced the girls thought they were mermaids; I couldn't keep them from in the pool. The garden came in handy though for the times the pool was self cleaning; gave the girls something different to do other than sitting at the side of the pool wondering when it would be finished. I want to say thanks for that detail; the fact that the pool was cleaned every morning was like heaven sent.I had read someone speak about bugs and there was some (ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE PATIO AND ONLY AT NIGHT). I am NOT a bug person but these bugs wasn't intrusive & only came out at night; come dawn they were making their way back home like they were never there. There was also no flying insects, just your garden variety bugs because of the closeness of the hedge to the patio. The home had netting at the entrance so this also assisted with the absence of bugs on the inside. The property is very secure. There is a security gate with a lock so I felt extremely comfortable with the girls moving around on the outside while I was inside preparing meals. However, there was an issue with one of the sensor lights which I reported to Fernanda; she assured me it will be fixed.Speaking about preparing meals, the home have everything you would need to make meals. It even had a BBQ grill which I tried BBQing for the first time ever! Had to throw away a number of hotdogs though; no one told me that they cook so fast on the grill (the shame). Then picture me & my niece trying to wash a coal grill when finished. It wasn't a pretty sight. The girls are already asking when they could go back.

Amazing, quiet rental with private pool and killer views
We love Gone to the Beach so much we extended our 6-week stay for 4 more weeks. The location is perfect for us. Lots of side roads and fields for morning walks and only a 5-minute walk to a fantastic beach, passing local vendors, marts, ice cream shops and restaurants along the way. The outdoor patio is literally year-round outside living. We spent the majority of our time working at the outside table, lounging on the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean via palm trees, and dunking in the plunge pool in complete privacy. The furnishings are comfortable and inviting, The decor and household collections reveal evidence this much-loved townhome was once a primary residence. From the patio we saw green parrots, monkeys, whistling tree frogs and more. We absolutely fell in love with Gone to the Beach. Highly, highly recommend.

Cozy hideaway
This villa is well-appointed with every kitchen item one would want, including French press. The decor is unique and lovely compared to many condos that look like hotel rooms. Perfect location, just up the hill from a great local beach. Loved the patio and plunge pool. Fernanda is very attentive to any needs.

Plan your walk to the beach.
The property has beautiful views to the sea and the plunge pool was a welcome sight after the walk back from the beach. If you are not used to a stiff 10 - 15 minute walk then a hire car or taxi is a must. We planned our return from the coast to not coincide with the hottest times of the day because the final stretch to the accommodation is steep! Fixtures and fitting were of a high standard. Lightweight chairs for the beach were supplied. All in all one of the best rentals we have used in Barbados.
