Check in was straight forward, key in a keysafe by door.
Dirty house, beds, cutlury, plates, greasy oven trays and pots.
Very run down, badly maitained throughout.
We were six people, the house could not realisticly accomodate more than 9.
Spare beds kept in garden shed next to compost bags.
Sadly I can not upload pictures.
Left a lot to be desired.
Maybe ten years ago it was almost 5* if it was ever cleaned properly.
Emsorth andthe surrounding areas are very picturesque. It was waliking distance to the town, thankfully.

The house accommodated 11 family members with lots of space. Large living and dining area with TV, books, piano and guitar. Kitchen was well equipped. Very good communication from the owners and they were very quick to reply. Lovely village easy to walk around. Flintstones cafe was excellent. A five star experience.

Fantastic property and manager, poor app and hard to contact
I cannot fault the accommmodation or the property manager, they were exceptional so please do not hesitate to book with the accommoodation. Vrbo however is not the easiest of apps to book with.

Great place for staying with friends
We booked this property for a mini getaway for a group of friends. Great place, great location, great host and the walks to the seafront are so close whilst being able to pop into nearby towns for other things to do.

Would definitely recommend this house. It’s lovely and spacious and stocked with everything you need for your stay.

We had a lovely family holiday in a great location. As a three generational family, the open plan layout of the property was perfect for spending quality time together. The location is excellent being only a short walk to both the beach and Emsworth. We were lucky with the weather so made the most of the beach each day. The garden was great for the children and our family dog as it was securely enclosed. Martine was a good host checking in with us whilst we stayed. A great time was had by all.

Lovely house. Comfortable and a good place to relax.

The property is spacious with a great kitchen and living area for an extended family. Lots of toys and books for young children to enjoy. The enclosed garden has a slide, climbing frame, outdoor toys and small chairs & tables for children. An outdoor dinning area is also available for adults with a barbecue. The property is in an excellent location for short coastal walks, which can incorporate the harbour at Emsworth. Emsworth is a pretty village by the sea (10 minute leisurely and pleasant walk from the house) with an arrange of facilities, shops, restaurants, pubs etc. I would recommend a reservation at Nicolino's Italian Restaurant for fabulous fish dishes. There is a large Tesco in Havant (10 minutes by car). Hayling Island provides a traditional seaside environment with pebble beaches whereas West Wittering provides a wide sandy beach with shallows (great for young children) but its popular so book your car space beforehand online or alternatively, turn up early!

Had a lovely week in this substantial property which is perfectly located.
The house has ample room and facilities and sits just a few minutes walk from the sea and woods.
The location is perfect. Emsworth is a pretty and thriving town that has a number of very nice pubs and restaurants as well as a butcher and greengrocer and supermarket. The beach side walk from the property into the town I take about 20 minutes and is lovely.
All in all a great stay.

Great house with everything you could need. Perfect for all ages (we had 6 adults, a 2, 5 and 6 year old) everything there for toddlers and young children - baby gates, high chairs, toys etc. Great location and nice little village and beaches a short drive away. Sun loungers would be a good addition. Overall a fab place to stay.

Sunny, spacious and family-friendly.
We had a lovely stay at Harbourways. The house is spacious, comfortable, bright and cheery. The kitchen is lovely and the garden has lots of fun games and toys for children. We loved being right down the road from the shore and an easy walk into the village. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Incredible property in a perfect location
We have just spent a long weekend at this fantastic property and enjoyed every minute of it. Emsworth is a wonderful village with plenty of amenities whilst the local transport services (we used the train) into Portsmouth or Chichester are easily accessed and run at regular intervals.
The property itself was an absolute pleasure to stay in with all the necessary resources available. The property was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable to stay in.
A real home from home. Would love to come back one day.

Spacious, clean, homely
A lovely large house with amazing kitchen and log fire. Beds were comfortable and lots of hot water, all wrapped up in a wonderful location. Great place to take chlldren and dogs. Nice walks along the Quay into Emsfield where you will find some good 'foodie' pubs, gift shops and supermarkets.

Large comfortable house in a lovely location
We had an amazing Christmas with family. The house has everything you need - comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, open fire as well as central heating, and within walking distance to beautiful Emsworth

Great Stay lovely village
Dear Martine, thank you for a great stay. We absolutely loved 'Harbourways', set in an idyllic position in the heart of Emsworth in a no-through road (except by foot to the beach). The house itself was exceptionally cosy and comfortable, very well equipped and easy to live in, we all loved the space. If you are looking for a unique and beautiful space to hold a family gathering, look no further. The outdoor space is also beautiful and great for the children or a chilled drink. I Googled the road before our visit - it's the most sought after road in Emsworth - when you arrive you will see why. Looking forward to our next visit in the New Year. Thank you again.

Clean, spacious and great location
Whilst it was a lovely break people should be aware of rules/restrictions around garden and noise after 9pm and 10pm - it’s a quiet idealic area which needs to be respected. Very attentive owner which added to a pleasurable break

Everything you could ever need!
We had a fab time at Harbourways this weekend. We were very lucky with the weather and the house lended itself perfectly with the bi-fold doors and sun trap garden.
The house had everything you could think of from fully equipped kitchen to games and kids toys, it really has been well thought through.
Martine’s communication throughout was brilliant as well.
Would highly recommend.

Really spacious, beautiful house. Like home from home
Perfect location for walks along the water and lunch in town. Really well equipped kitchen and house is beautiful and spacious. We had a perfect weekend with the boys playing golf whilst we visited gunwharf for some retail therapy.

Excellent House.
The property was a very good size for a family stay of 12 - 8 adults 4 children.
The jacuzzi is very large so can fit many people in.
Lots of supplies in the kitchen for plates, cutlery, glasses etc.
If staying in the colder months; I would recommend that you ensure you go and purchase wood and so on for the open fire as the front room doesn’t heat up as quick due to being a large room.
Plenty of seats and space for all the family.

Lovely, spacious, clean and relaxing :)
The house is in a great area and not to far away from Portsmouth, clean tidy and well equipped, the bedrooms were spacious and to a high standard, bathrooms/wet rooms were brilliant. The living room was lovely and cosy with plenty of room for everyone in our party. The kitchen is stunning and a surprise in every cupboard with utensils, stocked with herbs spices and every day things you completely forget to take with you. The kitchen and dining room looked out onto the garden which was a decent size and lovely to sit out in the morning with a cuppa. The hot tub is well maintained and covered for the lovely wet English weather. I would highly recommend this property and will be back again. It’s a massive thumbs up from this party of 7. Great communication with Martine and easy to book. Well worth it.
4.8
Great location for our needs
The house fitted our needs to accommodate a group of people who were attending Goodwood FOS. We loved the outdoor table setting for eating on the warm summer nights we had.
Please note that Emsworth Village itself does not accommodate anyone to eat on a Sunday night after 7pm. This was very frustrating for a group of tired people who didn't fancy cooking.
4.8
Accommodation was adequate for our party of eleven. The location was excellent.
There were plenty of varied activities for everyone: The museum at Portsmouth was popular; the Southdowns National Park was excellent; children liked crabbing in the harbour etc. Local amenities were within easy walking distance and we made use of the Indian restaurant and the fish and chip shop as well as the supermarkets. (Cooking facilities in the house were not brilliant for so many people and a coffee machine would have been nice.)
Maintenance on the house and garden seemed a bit neglected and the grass hadn't been cut for some time. Also the barbecue was dirty from the last visitors so we didn't use it. The bunk beds were only suitable for small children so we had to make use of a sofa bed in the sitting room for one of the bigger children.

Great spacious rental close to all amenties
We can see from the guest book that we are one of the many returners to this great find! With most rentals you expect a bit of tiredness after a couple of years but not this one - very new bar stools, new dinning chairs galore and fresh new bedding for a start! Martine's communication was fantastic from start to finish, instructions were very detailed and clear. Emsworth has to be one of the dream holiday locations in the UK, especially being so close to Portsmouth and Chichester, where can you find the shore and all amenties within easy walking distance, literally on your door step.
4.8
Beautiful home in a great location
The house was beautiful, and the hot tub was a treat. Martine was always responsive and the instructions given were detailed and clear. Emsworth is also a surprise find - so close to London yet not on many people's radar.
Can definitely recommend - we hope to return soon!
