We had a fantastic time at Pelican Lookout. The house was as beautiful as pictured and we loved taking the kayaks out on the shallow, calm bay. Everybody could sit down to a meal at the same time as well! We had a great time with family!

Clean and well supplied with plates, utensils, towels, beach towels, beach chairs. Could use a second refrigerator for large groups. Plenty of sleeping space for all age groups. No central air which makes bedrooms very warm. Great location near beautiful Cana Island. Nice sandy beach within five walking minutes that was never crowded and good little bay area for kayaking. Great view from the second floor. Kids enjoyed the game room. Large dining table was neat for whole family to sit for meals. Slight problem with snakes especially near garage and garbage can area outside - could use exterminator help with this?

Perfect place for a family vacation. Very homey and well maintained. Beautiful lake view and area to put the kayaks in. Everything we need was available in the house.

The location is perfect if you’re looking for something off the beaten path but still special. You’re within walking distant to the Cana Island lighthouse and the view of the water is amazing out the front windows (or from the balcony). The house was clean and beautifully decorated with tons of space for everyone.

We were a group of women who met in college and have been visiting in Door County since 1992. Your home was a perfect gathering place for us, although a little larger than we need. Everything was perfect. The home was very clean and well stocked with more than enough paper supplies and towels. We loved the location for walks over to Cana Island, one of our favorite lighthouses. Pelican Bay was perfect for kayaking and watching sunsets. We would defintely come back if we had more people in our group.

The property was a comfortable, rambling 2 1/2 story home with something for everybody. Whether playing a fast game of
ping pong or a competitive game of foosball or darts the place was a kids dream. Our grandkids played in the loft area upstairs while the adults visited downstairs. The 2 person kayak provided a fun and safe !experience in shallow moonlight bay. Peter was a very attentive and communicative host. One great family reunion!

We loved staying here! We had 16 in our group for our weeklong celebration of my in-laws' 50th anniversary: 4 adult couples and eight grandkids from 11-19 years old. There was plenty of room for all of us. We especially loved being able to all eat together at the giant dining table, which is a rarity at this kind of rental. The whole house was truly set up for a large group to enjoy their time together, not just pack in as many beds as possible. We enjoyed early morning coffee and yoga by the lake, fires in the front yard fire pit, and walks to the Cana Island causeway to see the stars - we could not have asked for a more perfect property or location. The host, Peter, is great! He was very helpful and responsive to all my questions before and throughout our stay. We'd all happily return to this property!

The house was great. You have to cross a road to get to the pier but that worked out OK. Sandy beach a short walk away. The lack of rain kept us from utilizing the pier. Kitchen table was great for meals. We could all sit together with room for a few more. Kitchen was well stocked with plates glasses silverware pots pans knives storage containers.

A grand home with a beautiful view of Pelican Bay. Plenty of room for all to relax and unwind. Nestled in the woods this home was private and away from all the hustle and bustle that can be found in some of the Door County towns during fall weekends. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the stocked kitchen, family meals at the large dining table and making s'mores while chatting by the firepit. Our stay was delightful!

We stayed at Pelican Lookout for a multi-generation family reunion and found it to be a wonderful place. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need and the dining table seated 18 people! Comfortable family and living rooms, along with a large deck, firepit, and dock allowed smaller groups to gather. The game room was a big hit, too, along with the Cana Island Lighthouse just a short stroll down the road. Plenty of linens and towels, along with bunkbeds and beds in the loft and 3.5 lovely new bathrooms allowed our multi-age group to stay together in comfort. The stars and the sounds of the waves were magical and Spikehorn Bay was great for swimming and kayaking. When the hot water went off over the weekend, the owner arranged for immediate repair and the issue was resolved very quickly. Highly recommended!

It's a Family Thing 2022
The property was the perfect size for our group. The configuration of the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements worked for us. The kitchen was a bit small, but the large table was perfect.
We were a bit disappointed that the lighthouse was not accessible and the water for our beach was so low. We saw a porcupine and enjoyed the kayaks and bikes. Thanks for the memories.

Door County Gem
This house was amazing from top to bottom and in an absolutely gorgeous location. You get to enjoy sunsets on the beach or from the front porch every night and are a short drive from many major towns in the Door County area. We had 14 family members together to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. The kitchen is a generous size and the dining room table fit all of us, we rarely have the opportunity to sit all together for meals and this was PERFECT!! We loved the outdoor area for playing games, the indoor game room was perfect when it was raining and the kayaks and bikes brought so much joy to our family. THANK YOU for renting out this amazing property.

Lovely in every way
Lovely home and property. Owner thought of everything. We used every inch of the home. Kitchen and extra large eating area accommodated our 3 families. Kids loved the ping pong table and games. Adults took advantage of the fire pit. Plenty of space. Wonderful fall getaway!

Wonderful warm water bayside home
A really beautiful spot. I’ll make a list. Sunsets on the dock, paddling kayaks along la costa, playing ping pong into the late night, throwing frisbee in the drive, riding bikes out to Buiese Point, being the first to the lighthouse grounds, a big eggs and pancakes with maple syrup breakfast with ten close family members lost in conversation around a grand table.

We didn’t want to leave!
Our adult family really enjoyed this property. Loved all of the water activity and the shallowness of the beach area. Home is very spacious to accommodate us giving each couple their own space And to spread out. Location was also awesome. Walked to Cana island and biked all around the area. So peaceful and calming. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave!!

Family Getaway
It was a lovely stay. The house has almost everything you can think of to need. Tons of towels and beddings, as well as dishes for a big group of people. It was great to have two living areas so we had space for people who wanted quieter. The location is easy to get to Bailey's harbor, as well as Sister bay and Fish creek. We had 11 people and we could have fit a few more in easily.

Excellent getaway for large family!
This was a wonderful home base for a family with 6 rambunctious boys while exploring Door County. It felt like home, and was very well appointed. The location was beautiful, and having our very own Cana island light house down the street was an unexpected surprise. The fire on the upper porch made a wonderful gathering place at night, and the long dining room table fit us all with room to spare. The property owner was very generous and anticipated our needs with paper goods and towels and linens. It was clearly laid out for a family; thank you so much!

Excellent getaway
We were looking for a place that could hold my large family that was close to things to do but still a bit secluded. This fit the bill perfectly. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this property to others.

Beautiful home right on the lake
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. With spectacular views of the lake, either from the upper deck or sitting on the pier, this is a true getaway. Nestled in a quiet area of baileys harbor, you feel far away up north yet have quick access to everything in door county. We enjoyed kayaking to the lighthouse in Cana Island, riding bikes along the lake, and sitting by the bonfire. The kitchen and dining area and living room are amazing g for a big family to hang out and enjoy meals together.

Family reunion
We had family from across the states meeting here for a beautiful reunion. It was so nice to have everyone in one place and yet have spaces to roam. The game room was a big hit, the fire pit, the beautiful table - wow, we enjoyed sitting around for meals and conversation. Overall the place was very well stocked with paper products and kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks Peter for making our reservation and questions go so smoothly.
We did not use the grill however that was kinda dirty.

Amazing Rental
This home was absolutely incredible and has everything that a large group could need. The setting of the home is gorgeous and the Lake Michigan can be seen from almost every window in the house. Peter was very responsive to our questions, often replying to my text messages within several minutes. We will definitely return to this property in the future.

Great stay in Bailey's Harbor
The house was better than imagined! From the spacious kitchen, dining, and living room to the quaint rooms and amenities, everything was so well done. I'm very happy we found this place and it was perfect for our gathering of 17 people. I could go on and on about everything, but Peter has it all laid out in the description and it's true to that!
I only wish the water wasn't so high this year and the dock was suitable for swimming. The end of the old dock has a nice spot for jumping in the water. Hopefully in the future the dock can be restored to its former glory like it was on HGTV!

Bachelorette Weekend Getaway
From the moment we drove in the driveway, til we drove away, we were smiling! The home was inviting and cozy. Plenty of room for the 18 of us ready to celebrate an upcoming wedding. The house was clean, nicely decorated, equipped with necessities & beautifully tucked away on a quiet backroad. The best part was the huge table that seated our entire gang at once. We spent much of our time there eating, playing games & enjoying just being together! We took advantage of the deck just off the kitchen as we enjoyed our morning coffee there from the supplied coffee pot. There’s a 12 cup pot with supplied filters & a Kuerig (bring your own coffee & pods). All the beds were comfortable and there was a table fan in each bedroom to use - a great bonus! Showers are large and we had enough hot water to shower all 18 of us! Neighborhood is friendly and water is within a very short walking distance. Private pier across the road or a short walk to the shore where you can go see the lighthouse for a fee. We also took advantage of the fire pit in the front yard. A friendly neighbor brought us some firewood and we enjoyed a fire on our last night there. Cleanup was quick and we hated to leave! Definitely will rent again in the future!

Wonderful house for large groups
We had an amazing time at this updated, clean house. Our first night we were almost at capacity with 16 family members and the house accommodated all with ease. Plenty to do for all with the use of the dock and kayaks and a lovely outdoor deck and fire pit. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!! You will not be disapointed!
