Excellent far reaching views. Very steep drive to parking area. Comfortable bedrooms, good kitchen appliances but no freezer or ice box to fridge. Water pressure poor to taps but shower ok, slippery shower floor and no non-slip mat.

We enjoyed our week in Dartmouth very much indeed. The property was well equipped and the balcony was perfect bearing in mind the very nice weather. The location was good and we kept fit walking down into town and back again most days. The only negative points for us were the very steep drive ( we tended to leave our car on the road) and the large hole in the fireplace where a fire (or something decorative) should have been.

Lovely position and well kept. The veranda is perfect for sitting on a sunny day. All the cooking equipment you will ever need.. lounge a bit tired and TV small but nothing that would put me off staying here again.

The location of the house is great with fabulous views of the harbour. The drive is extremely steep and hard to get in and out of especially with cars park opposite along the road. The road has lots of potholes but is a quiet location. We would walk into town and get the bus back which ran every half an hour which was great.
The house itself needs a bit of TLC. The kitchen and balcony are lovely along with the bathroom. The rest of the house is looking quite tired, there are very few pictures around and the ones that are on the walls are all in odd places! The double aspect in living room is lovely with views over Dartmouth and looks lovely at night.
The house could be made to look fantastic with new flooring, furniture (not cheap pine) and pictures. You could give it a great beachy vibe and change the net curtains in bedrooms to shutters. When you are paying nearly £1000 a week and more at different times of the year you expect a little bit more luxury and it wouldn't cost that much to change a few things.
I am putting no to recommend only because of the outdated furniture and wouldn't want to recommend something that I am not 100% in recommending, if everything was brought up to date a bit more then I would be happy to recommend

No slip mat in shower unit, drinking glasses spoilt by going in dishwasher few cobwebs here and there, could be cleaner.

This property is ‘a little gem’ and has it’s own drive for several cars, a rarity in Dartmouth. It is comfy, well equipped in a lovely, quiet location. The views from the lounge & balcony are wonderful. Easy access into Dartmouth via park & ride or bus, with local supermarkets minutes away. We really enjoyed our week and will definitely return.

Accommodation very clean with excellent view of Dartmouth, Kingswear, River Dart and steam trains coming and going. Kitchen very well equipped and there is a dishwasher although this isn't mentioned in the details on the website. We chose this accommodation as my husband has difficulty walking and it was ideal. There are two steps up to the front door but everything inside is on the level including a walk in shower. My only criticism is that when I unrolled one of the hand towels it was covered in black marks on both sides. It had obviously been washed but was very off putting and placed in the dirty linen bag straight away.

Quiet property with fab views
A well-equipped property with a balcony and fabulous views over Dartmouth. The only downside was the poor lighting in the kitchen. A couple of downlighters over the worktop would have made chopping veg a better experience!

Great views!
Fantastic views, photos didn't do it justice. Nice quiet street with room for parking if you didn't want to use the steep driveway. House better equipped than advertised, including a dishwasher, nespresso machine and access to a tumbler dryer. Beds comfortable. Double bed is two single beds locked together which makes a super king. A travel cot was kindly provided.
Only issue for us with a young child is the lack of a bath. There is one downstairs in the owners section which you have access to, but the entrance is external underneath the main house.
Overall we were pleased with our stay and would happily stay there again!

Well maintained and equipped property in a great location
This property certainly exceeded our expectations. The view over Dartmouth, the river and the countryside from the main rooms and the balcony is exceptional. Immaculately clean, with everything needed to cook and eat properly. The road is quiet and the walk down into the town, although steep, is through picturesque streets. We went kayaking or sailing on the river each day, and also did a couple of long walks directly from the house.

15 churchfields dartmouth devon
We stayed at 15 church fields 2 years ago and loved it so much we booked it again for this year again as soon as we walked in to the lounge and saw the views across the dart valley we felt at home shame about the weather but made the most of our weeks stay

Another Great Stay
Our third visit, and again very enjoyable. The standard, improved by our second visit, has been maintained - although sparse because of Covid precautions - and the location is as marvellous as ever. Luckily there was no ice when we were there, and we have a 4x4, but it would be advisable to park on the road and avoid the steeply sloping drive if bad weather is forecast!

Very Good Stay
Excellent position with views over river and town, own parking, and good bus service back up the hill from the town centre, or to other parts of the county. The ability to have the main bedroom as twin beds is good. Since last year a lot has been done to improve the decoration, etc inside and out and now only a few small areas are less than perfect. Rather sparse inside because of coronavirus restrictions but the property can't be blamed for that. Great service from Dart Valley Cottages when coronavirus disrupted bookings.

Review
Lovely, clean and comfortable house with outstanding views. Great, panoramic views of the steam trains too. As good as it looks in the photos. Parking in Dartmouth itself fills up very quickly! We used the park and ride on occasions for a longer stay.

Stunning views, lovely property
We were delighted with the view. A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay with outstanding views with dual aspect windows from living room, and doors from kitchen opening on to a stunning balcony area. Views down to Dartmouth and over the countryside. Enjoyed watching from the property, the steam train coming in and out at Kingswear. Kitchen very well equipped and beds very comfortable. We liked it being within walking distance of Dartmouth, the hill certainly helped keep us fit. We thoroughly recommend this place and hope to return.

Excellent.
Accommodation lived up to photos. We made good use of the balcony to enjoy the stunning view of Dartmouth/Kingswear. Everything provided for a comfortable holiday.

Fantastic views and comfortable beds with quality bedding.
We enjoyed our stay but there were a few 'housekeeping' issues such as dirty toilet brush (personally we don't think they should be used at all unless replaced every time).
The kitchen edges of floor especially around the skirting and around router for internet looked as if they had not been cleaned for a while.
We were also slightly disappointed that there were not any 'extras' included nor even a welcome pack. (No egg cups either). We have stayed in numerous 4 star cottages and have always had these. Some rooms could do with a facelift.
We think the price should have warranted these as it was still May (not half term) and effectively just a flat. However the views from the balcony and the windows were fantastic so we guess they made up for this lack. Might be food for thought for the future though.

Churchfields, Dartmouth
We enjoyed our stay at 15, Churchfields with it's splendid views. Whilst we felt the property offered comfortable accommodation and was well equipped with utensils etc, some parts of it were a little sad and outdated. It would also benefit from a small freezer or at least a freezer compartment in a fridge.

Located on a quiet housing estate, with beautiful views over town, good value for money
The bungalow was situated on a housing estate on the outskirts of Dartmouth, with excellant views across the valley and river. Provided you could cope with steep paths and steps it was easy to walk into the town (15 mins) where there was plenty of opportunity to take boat trips, or brows the local shops which were located in quaint narrow streets. The local supermarkets were within a short drive from the bungalow and although small, they catered for your needs quite adequately.
The bungalow itself was comfortable and clean and generally not in bad condition. It would have been helpful if there had been a freezer and a larger work surface in the kitchen. The drive which drops down the side of the property is very steep, so cannot be used unless you have good ground clearance. We parked on the road all week!

Perfect location in Dartmouth
Never having been to the area before we quickly established that Dartmouth would be a parking nightmare and so we looked for somewhere with parking, views and within 15 mins stroll into town. (Downhill all the way and if not wanting the walk back up, taxi bill was £5.) 15 Churchfields fitted the bill. We weren't disappointed. On arrival the house was clean, modern, light and airy. The views from the lounge were stunning and the balcony off the kitchen with bifold doors doubled the space. Either with cup of coffee or glass of wine in hand, much time was spent just looking across at the countryside and down to Dartmouth Harbour; it was like watching a permanently moving model village with boats and steam trains coming and going. The kitchen was well equipped (no freezer section). The bedrooms had good quality bedding and were spacious. Boxes of toys were in the twin bedroom. It was all very thoughtfully equipped. Decoration was light and modern. All designed to make for a very relaxing stay. Parking was down the steep drive at the side of the house with turning area at the bottom; low suspension cars would ground on the lip of the pavement but there is plenty of parking on the road outside. The neighbours were very friendly. Lovely week - we were just sad to leave!

We loved the views from the deck area and overall found the property to be comfortable and well located.

Overall good but few things need attention
On arrival house was warm, clean & welcoming.
Wanted a cup of tea and toasted tea cake - cooker fan had broken so although the hobs worked was unable to use the grill or oven as whole cooker noisy from broken fan. Tom came out straight away & agreed cooker not usable and he would arrange a replacement. Used hobs and microwave.
First morning there - unable to get shower to work. Also difficulty opening bifold door on to balcony. Cleaner came round and we thought shower ok, but it was not working properly. I was unable to have a shower before Wednesday morning of my stay. Only fault was that a switch for shower pump had accidentally been turned off in airing cupboard. Before then, had been using basin to wash and do my hair. Fairly upset this not sorted sooner, such a simple error. Was finally offered the use of the downstairs bathroom, but not until the Tuesday. Didn't use this bathroom in the end as not brilliant going outside and down the drive to access it.
Towels were clean, but very worn and very small.
Beds are excellent, but very cheap pillows, might be an idea to improve the pillows - offer soft and firmer pillows. Bedding excellent.
Settees in sitting room are old, very soft and uncomfortable. I have a bad back and used smaller cushions to try to get comfortable.
When you come away on holiday you don't want to be involved in things not working as they should. But you did respond quickly to phone calls. You offered me 10% compensation, which is actually quite a small amount considering the inconvenience.
Property does have wonderful location and views over Dartmouth.
