About this cottage rental
Ninds Farm Cottage was once part of the much larger Ninds Farm House. Dating from the later 17th Century, this private wing of the farmhouse had become unfashionable by the end of the 18th century and was partitioned off to form a separate cottage and a curved stair turret was added at the back to allow access to the upper floor. A smaller fireplace was inserted into the original one in the sitting room and the large single bedroom was partitioned into two; the horsehair and lime plaster partitions still remain although the back room now forms the bathroom. Many other original features remain and the present owner has left much untouched while providing a warm and comfortable holiday retreat.
Willersey is a small, pretty village, friendly and lively with local amenities including two churches, two pubs serving good food, garage, and a village pond. Both pubs are dog-friendly and excellent walking country is on the doorstep. The iconic village of Broadway is one and half miles away, with its galleries, restaurants and shops. A variety of landscapes surround the village as it is an excellent base from which to explore north Cotswolds towns such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh as well as the smaller villages which have inspired writers like Laurie Lee and J.M. Barrie. Shakespeare’s Warwickshire is also easily and quickly accessible as is the Vale of Evesham. The Cottage is a short journey from Cheltenham and its race course making it an ideal spot to stay in Gold Cup Week. Worcester is less than an hour away with its Cathedral (burial place of King John and Prince Arthur), race course and shops. The Ninds Farm Cottage page on Facebook has some ideas of places to go and what’s on locally and also some links to websites guests might find interesting. It is always work in progress.

Most of the reviews are 10/10. If that be the case, standard hotel rooms would get 22/10….the mattress is probably also from the 17th century. We had to take pain killers in the morning….there were debris floating in the boiler…..there is a hand held shower but no mechanism to have the water go through the so called hand held shower. Stains on the carpet and dog friendly….you get to guess the origin…6/10 is the most that i can give.

My partner and I (and our miniature dachshund puppies) had a lovely stay visiting this beautifully cosy cottage.
Set in a quiet village with lovely surroundings the cottage was so very well equipped, clean and tidy.
The kitchen had everything we needed leading to a conservatory and separate toilet. Upstairs had a cosy and comfortable bed and very spacious bathroom.
Kerry (owner) made us very welcome and catered for our arrival.
Gorgeous little private garden where our puppies could play securely.
Parking was hassle-free and available right outside of the cottage which was a nice little bonus.
It's around a five minute drive to the village of Broadway and 20 minutes from Stow.
Our next trip to the Cotswolds will definitely result in a repeat booking at this gorgeous cottage.
Thank you Kerry x

Great 5 day break in a lovely cottage based in a small tranquil village that was ideal for exploring the local area.

The cottage was perfect for a relaxing stay in a charming friendly village. It’s in a great location in respect to exploring nearby villages and sights. We were able to pick up a few items at a grocery store nearby and went to The Bell, The New Inn and The Fleece Inn for dinner. All wonderful! The St. Peter’s church at the end of the street welcomed us with open arms. The service was inspiring and they served traditional tea and scones afterwards. We ended each night with a fire. A perfect ending to our tour of The Cotswolds.

A great little cottage in the picturesque village of Willersey. Cosy, comfortable and perfectly situated to explore the Cotswolds.

Lovely cosy cottage, toasty and warm whilst it was chilly outside. Kerry left us a lovely bottle of wine and a large basket of logs & coal, as well as some milk so was great to get us started.
The cottage has everything you need, and is literally 30 seconds from one pub and 2 minutes from the other in the very picturesque village.

Lovely quiet weekend away with our dogs. The cottage is lovely and the owner has kept the old fashioned charm. Lots of places to visit nearby. Great base to explore. Take a torch if you plan to walk to either of the village pubs at night. The touches of milk, tea, coffee and of course the wine were very welcome.

Property spotlessly clean and very well stocked. Perfect cosy place to stay. Broadway is walkable in about 35/40 minutes but take a torch as not all sections of the path are lit. Host responds to any queries promptly. Highly recommend

This place was so magical. The fireplace was delightful, and we were so glad to enjoy it, even if for just a night. Kerry was attentive and left wonderful little touches, like a bottle of wine and milk for our morning coffee.

We had a comfortable, peaceful short stay in Ninds Farm Cottage. Situated in a desirable position in the old part of the village. The small enclosed garden was handy for our dog and a nice little sun spot for us in the good weather! Thank you Kerry for the much appreciated complimentary wine. It was a welcome surprise. We found Willersey in a good position to explore some pretty nearby villages. We wish we’d had more time! We met some friendly locals who recommended some good walks from the doorstep. One through the churchyard and the cows and up towards The Fish Hotel, had some great views from the orchard. We stopped off at the very dog friendly Fish and enjoyed some delicious veggie pizzas at their Hook restaurant.

The cottage is very quaint, the kitchen and bathroom have been modernised and there is everything you need for a short stay. Only downside for me were the furnishings, not very comfy sofa and chair in lounge area, carpets a bit stained, could do with a bit of an upgrade!! Overall a pleasant stay though, nice, quiet little village with a nice pub very close by and onlyba short drive into Broadway.

A wonderful, comfortable cottage with an open fire as well as all modern conveniences, in a lovely & welcoming village. All in the picturesque Cotswolds.
Kerry makes sure guests are made extra welcome by supplying firewood, milk & tea/coffee, & even a bottle of wine, although there are of course shops & supermarkets in nearby towns. I hope to visit again. Thank you Kerry.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for a long weekend away and used it as a base to explore the Cotswolds. The cottage was lovely and comfortable, just as described. A very comfortable clean cottage. Exactly as described and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds

We absolutely loved our home-from-home cottage. Everything was spotless, bed was comfy, dogs felt at home (except for the single chair...do you have ghosts !!), and the little touches of milk and wine was a nice welcome. The only thing I would say is us Northies are use to soft water, and Cotswolds water is hard. Could have done with a water filter jug. The village was very welcoming but we fell in love with the national trust pub, The Fleece, in Bretford. Willersey itself was the perfect location to all the wonderful villages. Thank you again Kerry, we had a lovely time.

Excellent accommodation in the Cotswolds
We were very impressed with this property which suited our needs as we have two dogs. It provided everything that we required.

Lovely quiet cottage in nice village .
Great property for two people and two dogs. Good space and very comfortable. Weather good so no need to clean / dry dogs . No back entrance to easy clean kitchen floor if they were wet! It’s a dog issue and only relevant if weather bad. Two pubs in village, both hopefully have got sorted out with chefs now. New inn the better I feel. Broadway village only 1.5 miles away and easy to walk to.
