The stay was wonderful in every way. From the communication prior and during the stay to the follow up with a problem we had to the way that house is set up, everything was fantastic. The pictures really do not do justice to the experience that the house provides.
The terrace upstairs provided us with wonderful opportunities to star gaze and the outdoor area downstairs was perfect for watching the sea at a distance while having breakfast. Though the village is small (which for us was a plus) it is walking distance to a great taverna, a small shop for coffee/snacks, etc, and two beaches! It's also just a short drive to Voidokoilia beach and the adjoining wetlands. Within a short drive you can reach Gialova, Pylos (a wonderful little town) and all kids of beautiful places.
Our group included children (ages 1, 9 and 11) as well as four adults. The house is prepared for all ages, with small information booklets about the region for the adults, wifi for all, hammocks set up outside (which our older children enjoyed immensely) and baby tables/chairs for the little ones. Though we didn't take advantage of the option there is also wine and olive oil available for sale for those interested in trying out the local flavors.
The grounds were lovely as well with a number of olive trees and fruit trees adorning the plot. We cannot be happier with the experience that we had during our stay and the place is clean, organized and much much better than the pictures even show! We loved everything about it!
In truth there is little to not like. Perhaps the most difficult thing was to actually find the place. Even then one phone call was all it took to fix that problem. The town of Petrochori is very small and you pretty much need a car to get around otherwise. In our case we had a car and were happy as can be to stay at such a small village. Wonderful!

Amazing place, one of the best I ever been. First of all the location: the house is situated on top of a hill, it guarantees a nice view over the region. You can see the see from the ground floor terrace, the view from the first floor is even better. It's absolutely calm, forget about cars/scooters passing by. There's a small shop few steps from the house. It's also close to the nearest beach, just a few minutes of walk. We were often driving to Voidokilia beach, located 6-7 minutes by car. Voidokilia is a semicircle beach, one of the most famous in Peloponnese. We discovered even a better one, in the Navarinou bay (put Golden Sand on your Navi to guide you there, it's 16-18 minutes by car). The water is warmer, beaches are empty and wild, with the view on the Sphacteria island and on Pylos on the other side of the bay, and with the access to the Navarino castle.
I can also recommend Gialova, Pylos, Methoni - small cities nearby. We managed to visit many places, like Nafplion, Epidauros and Monemvasia but it required much more time spent in the car, 2-3 hours each way.
The house is very comfortable. On the ground floor it has 2 sleeping rooms, bathroom and a living room with a kitchen, fully equipped, nothing was missing. We even got a play pen for our youngest daughter, Terraces are on the three sides of the house so there's always shadow. Relaxing place, especially in the evenings, where you can watch the sunset and listen to the sound of waves. There are trees around the house and in the garden, especially we liked apricot trees, fruits began to mature in June during our stay. On the first floor there's a small toilet, a big room and a terrace with a perfect view. All rooms with A/C but we didn't need to use. The owner and the properly manager are absolutely great. Thank you Eleni for helping us when our daughter got sick. And thank you Konstantinos - it was an honour to visit your place! All the best for you!

Modern house with good equipment, good layout, nice views and sufficient space for the four of us. The location was great for us as we were looking for s.th. very quiet. Nice beaches and tavernas are in walking distance. The owner and his local agent were very helpful.
Key handover via a local agent worked very well but is potentially less flexible than other arrangements (e.g. code). There's a rather big (at least for the location) hotel next door, which was of no inconvenience at all to us in April but this may be different when there are guests around.
