About this house rental
Located along the Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail, and minutes from Naples, Glen Hollow offers the privacy of a vacation rental with the amenities of a wine country inn.
Award-winning design firm Cultrara Associates spent over two years renovating this historic landmark - an area of stunning natural beauty, innovative culinary culture, and deep history.
The Main House: Bringing the outdoors in, the garden room greets you as soon as you enter the home. Abundant windows and a beautiful garden area offer a serene respite. Pour a cup of hot coffee each morning and enjoy waking up slowly in this peaceful area, or relax at night sipping on your new favorite Finger Lakes wine. Open the French doors to adore the outdoor patio area, perfect for entertaining your friends and family.
The fully-appointed kitchen defines state-of-the-art farmhouse, where a Smeg range nestles in the arms of a surround made from 150 year-old brick. A DeLonghi cappuccino maker rests beside a hutch crafted from 90 year-old barn wood, bringing your favorite café into this refined kitchen.
The open living room and dining room area is an exquisite setting for gathering and relaxing alike. An Inglenook fireplace encompasses an entire wall and becomes the focal point of the open floor plan. Furnishings throughout are an inviting blend of antiques, contemporary, and Stickley decor.
Upstairs, an atrium balcony separates the master suite from the second bedroom and library. Inside the master suite you'll find a charming four-poster bed and window seat overlooking Seneca Point.
A loft acts as sitting room with writing desk, large screen TV and sleeper sofa just off the master suite. Completing this wing you'll have a bathroom with slipper tub and shower, marble heated floor, and walls of artisanal tile.
The west wing of the house offers a bedroom referred to as the "Swan Room" with queen size bed and antique furnishings. A fully stocked library with writing desk and twin size sleeper sofa is the perfect space for quiet reflection. A bathroom with stand up shower, a partition of hand-crafted stained glass, and walls of artisanal tile completes the upstairs.
The Guest House: The kitchen and downstairs sitting room provide a charming space and open floor plan. There is sitting for four around the ventless, porcelain-glazed, cast iron stove. Kitchen cabinets hand-crafted from original barn wood are topped by counters made of concrete and maple, with a custom stain using wine from Keuka Lake Vineyard.
Sliding barn wood doors access the bedroom off the kitchen. This cozy room glows from the original shiplap walls of Douglas Fir. Once a horse stall, the bathroom offers rustic charm with modern amenities. A luxurious waterfall shower head and stall composed of ledger stone, slate, and handcrafted leaded glass will have you in awe.
Upstairs, a hayloft converted into master loft suite steals the show at this exquisite home. A grand king bed with canopy will allow you to retreat for the evening with luxury and style. Open the refurbished antique barn doors and enjoy views of the creek and let the outside in while sitting in the private sitting room this area offers.
Glen Hollow has been a tourist destination dating back to at least 1886. Today, visitors still enjoy the babbling brook and waterfall at this charming home. Expanding its focus on wellness, healing, and rejuvenation, the Guest House provides easy access to a new hot tub, sauna, and massage space for those guests seeking a restorative, restful getaway. Glen Hollow's fully-licensed Reiki-trained massage therapist may be reserved for onsite treatments by appointment.

We rented this property with some friends. There is a semi-private creek, and you can walk to a waterfall and swimming hole. It was just beautiful. I say semi-private because there were very few people there each time we walked it. The gardens were also lovely.
We rented both the main house and the guest house. Both were very nice. The only caveat is that the main house did not have air conditioning on the lower level. The entire guest house was air-conditioned, and the upstairs bedrooms in the main house were air-conditioned. Because we rented the house during a very hot part of summer, the kitchen and main living areas were somewhat warm.
We did have an issue with the water while we were there, but the owner, Christopher, took care of it immediately. He was very kind and accommodating.
We would definitely rent this place again, but probably in the spring or fall, due to lack of air-conditioning in the main house living space.

My family enjoyed their stay at Glen Hollow. The home and grounds are absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and walking through the prestine gardens. The inside of the house was beautiful as well with so much character. The only complaint was the cleanliness. It was almost as if the cleaners didn't have enough time before our arrival to fully clean the house. The floors didn't seem to have been vacuumed and there was garbage left in the guest house. Also, my children slept on a pull out couch and the couch hadnt been cleaned or vacuumed in a long time. When pulling the bed out of the couch we found some questionable items under the cushions. Overall the house is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.
