Lovely property, excellent land around it.
Lovely property, excellent land around it.
We were pleasantly surprised how large the land was around the cottage, really superb to have so much empty space to view. A great, cosy cottage, just right for two couples. Aldeburgh Coastal were efficient and offered good customer service, overall a most enjoyable stay, we would definitely consider returning.

Really quiet spot to get away from it all
Really quiet spot to get away from it all
Seamless check in and check out, the property was ideal for us, with open plan downstairs and 2 good sized bedrooms. The main selling point for us was the proximity to the coast and the large grounds which were perfect for the kids to run around in and explore

A wonderful retreat close to the coast.
A wonderful retreat close to the coast.
I'm almost reluctant to share this gem as it would make it more popular. Myself and my other half were looking for a retreat as he was recovering from spinal surgery. This made long walks a challenge so we wanted somewhere with some outside space we could walk around and somewhere that was self-contained. This lovely little house exceeded all our expectations. It sits alone in large natural (beautifully cared for) gardens. The lawn slopes down to trees and a small river. Andrew, the gardener, showed us images of some of the wildlife that visits often. We were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time drinking tea and listening to the birds while sitting at one of the benches. It is clearly a well-loved home with lots of loving touches. Parking is easy and close to the house. There is a large step into the kitchen but then I do have very little legs. There is a small loo and useful storage area with ironing board, hoover etc, Perfect for putting wet wellies or hanging coats. The kitchen has a large range gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. With the usual collection of pots and crockery needed. The dining room has an enormous table and another fridge for all the bottles of fizz needed for a break. It has a very useful wireless thermostat to adjust the temp. It stays nice and snug especially with the wood burner on those chilly evenings. There are lots of windows overlooking the gardens and access outside to gaze at the stars. The lounge has a lovely tv, some games and puzzles, a very comfy sofa and armchairs, side tables. Two bedrooms and a small bathroom. The bath is lovely and deep and has a shower over. Beautifully done out. The main bedroom has an enormously comfortable bed and storage. More than ample for our week there. The second room has a lovely bed (did not try it though) and storage. There is a rotary washing line in the garden. We loved our stay here and are hoping to stay again very soon. But the lovely people we met from Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages, and Andrew (the gardener) made our stay very special. We had a small issue and they sent someone within 5 minutes to help and dealt with everything with a smile. Thank you. Even if we cannot stay in that house again we will go out of our way to use Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages again.
