Very helpful host who gave us great restaurant suggestions and arranged secure parking for our rental car.
We missed the hostel on our first drive down the street. There is a sign, but it’s quite small.

The owner was friendly and helpful; he spoke excellent English. Although my private room was facing the street, closing the window blocked most of the sound. The large bed was very comfortable. The bus station was an easy 5 minute walk away
The area felt a bit sketchy -- but so does a lot of Valparaiso. If you're concerned, Uber is cheap.

Location was super close to bus station, which was easy, but a good 15-20 minute walk to downtown. Uber is cheap and I recommend it because the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy. The staff was really nice, but all in all I was surprised at how high the other ratings of this hostel were. The walls are super thin, the place is just outdated and dark. They did a nice job/effort with serving breakfast for me, though just toast and coffee and yogurt (I recommend going to Good Morning Valparaiso if you want eggs!). End of the day, okay for a night or two but I wouldn't go back.

Location was perfect. Very close to the bus station. The place is very clean and the people that are running this place are very friendly and make you feel like coming home. The WIFI was fast and it had good kitchen facilities.
If I ever get the chance to return to Valparaiso, I would surely stay here again.
I could only stay for one night.

Small guesthouse running by family. Owner and staff not talking Ingles much but they are always willing to help with everything. Struggling with my breakfast on first day because of misunderstanding and difficult to communicate in español (my bad español ability) but it is not a big deal. Their hospitality is better than that mistake.
